Needless to say, this blog is toast.

I can't in good conscience keep this sideblog up and running after recent events, so I'll be shuttering it soon.

I'm sure the occasional person who stumbled across it will not be devastated.

But really, that's just a cop out, a convenient excuse, since I hardly posted on here anyways. The truth is, I more or less stopped being a fan after the Ryan Haywood clusterfuck. I was feeling burnt out on AH content before that, but just never recovered. The only content I was consuming up till now was Red Web, F#ckface, and Black Box Down. Even then, The latter were more occasional/once in a blue moon. Unsubbing from Red Web has been particularly hard because I loved listening to it - Trevor and Alfredo had become my favorite content creators. Alas, I can't justify staying a listener and supporter after all these recent revelations about Rooster Teeth. I'm honestly afraid that if I do, I'll try to justify and handwave away all of that for the sake of my own continued gratification.

So anyways, that was long-winded. If anybody cares, my main Tumblr is @fuckyeah-nerdery, I have a SF and fantasy sideblog called @laserswordsanddragons. My main has a pinned post with links to my other sideblog and non-Tumblr blogs.

On the plus side, if there can ever be a plus side to this whole clusterfuck, I'll now have space and the motivation to create a new sideblog that I've been wanting to do for a while. So at some point today or this week, I'm going to start up my own true crime and paranormal blog. I've been toying with the idea, but didn't want to make yet another sideblog. But hey, a spot just opened up.

I'm glad Jeremy owned up to this. It's expected that you apologize when called out directly but it takes courage to come forward when left anonymous to take accountability for a hurtful and shameful action.

Gaming was full of toxic gamer 'bro' culture back in RT's early days and that's exactly who it attracted. It's naive to think your favorites didn't fall into that category or were any different. It's certainly disheartening to hear just how bad it was and just how awful the people we've grown to love used to be. This is a cleansing moment. It's a moment of truth. Rooster Teeth has much to reckon with and fans of their various projects have some decisions to make. Their remaining talent has some decisions to make.

No one should be judged for whatever they decide -except Rooster Teeth which needs to be fucking sued a million times over for allowing workplace harassment, not paying employees and emotional damages.

In terms of your post about Jeremy (felt more comfortable anon). He's still part time technically. Terms of what he said, went on an initial rant which he then deleted 'cause he was nervous about it being taken out of context (he knew less of the situation than he thought, didn't see Kdin's post before the stream). But basically, from what I could remember he said he felt bad for Ky, Bk and Joe since they've not dealt with a controversy before. He felt bad for Matt (obvs). Chat started to explain what Kdin's post was (the "nickname" being mentioned). He then remembered it, since he forgot. Then explained that it started before he worked there, didn't remember using it personally (which I'm 99% certain is true) but, was then told later what it meant and was horrified by it. Didn't mention Geoff, Michael or Gavin (assuming he didn't see those responses). He went to explain that he did partake in "edgy" humour in the early days of AH which he apologised for again (he has apologised previously in 2020 and maybe earlier???). Then he ended that rant, deleted the VOD and Kdin and Mica both messaged him which he answered. Kdin has since thanked Jeremy on Twitter, and after he finished messaging Mica, he thanked her and said "I really needed that"/"Really appreciated that" (my memory isn't the best). So, best summary of what was said that I can think of.

TL;DR= Jeremy at first wasn't aware of all the Kdin stuff, just about Matt. Realised the severity of it, deleted the VOD incase of it being taken out of context, spoke about the "nickname" and messaged Kdin and Mica

Also, weird question, but is he still an Achievement Hunter? I know him and Kat moved back to Boston or wherever during the pandemic and vaguely remember a tweet where he said that they weren't moving back to Austin and that he was going to be doing AH part time.

To be honest, one of the other reasons I'm peacing out of this fandom is the dread of finding out that Jack, Lindsay, Trevor, and/or Alfredo have done bad things too. Especially Jack.

After reading what Kdin wrote on Twitter about what Rooster Teeth is really like and what they endured, I'm officially done. I've been a fan of the company since the first season of RvB, but I now see it for it really is: a grossly toxic entity.

P.S.: According to Kdin, the nickname F*gz was the clean version of the nickname they forced on her behind the scenes: F*ggot. Yeah, they called Kdin F*ggot.
