Hi folks!
First of, a very very belated happy new year to you all!
Second of, i have finally started to write (apart from today lol) but i have just recently published a book!
I just need a little help out with spreading the word, i hope you can help!
So much has gone on
Sorry for the long delay in posts.
I just recently graduated from university in July with an upper 2nd degree! (Go me!)
Had a bit of an imposter sundtome moment though (my depression makes me act funny on that)
But i have had a weird and sudden realisation... I just can't find myself reading books.
This doesn't help that i just completed a degree in english language and creative writing.
I literally find books boring.
Now before anyone starts, I was a bit of a bookworm at one point but nowdays, most of the stories i read are either manga or fanfiction.
I find them a lot more fascinating, plot and character-wise (give or take in fanfiction but creative licenses and all)
I hope I'm not the only one who thinks this 😅
Okay, just something to get off my chest really.
the other day I decided to watch Rick and Morty out of pure curiousity and kind of anticipated the whole "this is so funny! You're gonna laugh your head off!"
To be honest... i didn't laugh. It was shit and the whole thing blowed. Whats so funny about degrading others?
Same goes with family guy. It had its funny moments but its gone downhill from there.
Society really needs to get a upgrade on humour. C'mon now.

One thing I love about writing is just being able to create all sorts of characters. I mean, every ethnicity, sexuality and gender. I write black, asian (and their mixes!) and white characters which really give me new perspectives. Writing in a different set of shoes, sos to speak.
This actually helps when figuring out a scene between different characters for me and also doing a little research on cultures brings in a bew perspective. Bring me some African influence! I love it! Got any asian? Morr for me then!
Theres something refreshing writing fron a different perspective instead of picking just the one.
This also goes alongside drawing as well. 😁 I find myself not drawing a particular type of person because my heads got loads of people in it, they want to come alive on the page.
(I hace a soft spot for drawing black characters, They're fun to draw!)
Okay, I have been noticing a bit about black history month a lot lately and too be honest. Maybe that's not enough...
Maybe... someone out there witha decent braincell could, I dunno, make it compulsory for all kids today to learn history around the world, not nitpick a month, week or whatever?
I know, it's so scandolous! But I really do beleieve that if your going to do something about tge history of someones skin colour, at least make it something kids today can learn and is part of curriculum.
Not a hard thing to do! C'mon people!

I actually got a little inspiration from a prompt I spotted on the internet (*cough*Pinterest*cough*) and it was the world shortest horror story.
Fuck it, here goes:
"The last human on the Earth sits in a room. There was a knock on the door.
He opened it. Nothing.
Just as he went back to his seat, another knock on the door occured. He opens it again. Nothing.
Sit down again. A knock. Open the door. Nothing.
As he sat doen, he rest his head on the table, a distressed look on his face.
Has he gone mad?
What was going on?
This was to be the beginning of several beginnings but no ends."

I juat wanted to share two writing prompts that I think will help those struggling or want a little push with getting creative!
Here is the 1st:
"At a table sits Death. You are challenged to a poker game with them to determine your souls passing. Win, you go to paradise. Lose, your soul is destroyed forever.
Death does not know you have the devils deck in your hand"
2nd prompt:

I've had the mentality of looking at others digital artwork, I kind of felt less motivated to draw and create.
It brought me down.
But I have discovered some great people out there that actually take the time to show how they do lineart, colour abd shading in step by step and you know what?
It helped so much! To all those wonderful people, you've really help!

Just thought I'd tell my coming out story today.
To be honest, I came out as AroAce 3 times.
1st time was when I knew I was (12). I told my mum. Possibly the best parent ever because she was extremely supportive.
2nd time, my mum told my father and his side. Not such a good thing, they're still confused about what asexuality is. I was 18.
3rd time was just a few months ago abd this was on facebook. I felt confident enough to be able to share it. That's it.
I've decided to pretty much vent out my whole frustration on the whole "anti-labrl" thing, just to clarify.
I hate the labels so much. Boomer, millenial, gen z... Fuck off!
We're people! Just because one was born in one generation, does not mean they can behave like it.
I'm nothing like a millenial because I actually care about people and their health, regardless of gender, colour, orientation and disablility.
No one invented the concept of "gayest generation"... it's bullshit. I've known I was always AroAce since I was twelve. I was the weird kid at school with no friends because I was brought up by adults giving me ideas on how to live. I didn't know I was abused financially and mentally.
I didn't know people hidbtheir sexualities from others because of ridicule.
In college, anyone I knew was an aquantience since I found it hard to relate to them. I was bullied there as well for be8ng the quiet weirdo.
I still have no friends but I'm actually thankful for it. I meet such great people around me that everyone is deeply connected. I don't need validation of who I am because I know who I am.
Boomers get bullshitted for being racist, homophobic and genderphobic only because it was what their society made them think. I inow a few who don't care who or what you are as long as you're a good person.
Millenials often get bullshitted for such depressive crap only because we were given the message that no one cared or it was hard to come out as anyone or anything.
On the 28 years I've been on this earth, I don't need this political label to tell me who the hell I am!
To those who are in the younger generations, stop the whole archtypes! Leave that to the wonderful writers and artists that we have the privilage to share this world with!
