All I’m seeing here is women who are brainwashed by the back alley rape myth. The overwhelming majority of rapes are done by known and trusted persons and 40% of rapists are women. But of course the media won’t tell you that because they want to keep you scared.

We REALLY need to stop spreading this “men are evil women can never hurt you” nonsense. It actually puts women in danger.

Yes, I agree that we do need to stop with this idea that “men are evil and women are safe” BUT at the same time men do make up majority of violent criminals and the fact of the matter is that depending on where you live (because yes, culture does play a role in how men behave), being around men you don’t know WILL make women feel uncomfortable and/or unsafe and for good reason. I live in Harlem and I ALWAYS feel uncomfortable walking past a group of men because literallllly not a day goes by without a man cat calling me or following me even after I reject him or blowing kisses at me or checking me out, etc. but when I lived in Sweden it was a COMPLETELY different experience. So I don’t think it’s always bullshit when women literally cannot feel comfortable by themselves outside around men. Sometimes it IS valid.
