Who’s ready for new HEB commercials already?
“Really Big Rings”
Tim Duncan
Dear Tim,
The first spurs game I remember watching was the last game of the 99 finals. My family was on vacation and my dad had the game on in our tiny hotel room. When the final buzzard rang and we were officially the champs for the first time, my dad and I screamed and jumped up and down. I was 8. That was the first time you amazed me. So I literally don't remember the Spurs without you. You ARE the Spurs. You are the heart and soul and character of the organization that I know will be passed on not only to the team but to the fans. San Antonio and Spurs fans everywhere have to feel so infinitely lucky to be able to have witnessed your greatness. I get to tell my kids one day that I saw you play. I saw you show how humble and gracious an athlete could be. I saw you compete with such vigor and heart. I'm so honored to have grown up with you as my hero. Thank you. Basketball will never be the same without you. -spursobsessed

because Tim and Manu do not deserve to go out like that. After so many years of greatness that game of all games is not the one to end things on. Ugh. I have a strong feeling that Manu is done, but I still have a little hope for Tim. I know he always said he’d leave when he felt he wasn’t contributing anymore. I just really hope he doesn’t judge himself based off of his playoff performance, because EVERYONE sucked. Like check the faucets at the AT&T center because something was in the water. They even played terrible against Memphis. I still think Tim did great in the regular season so I really REALLY hope that he realizes that and comes back for one more year.
Can we get a “ONE MORE YEAR” chant going?
Please Timmy! ONE MORE YEAR!
Happy Birthday Timmy!!

Gregg Popovich may be the surliest coach I know (who isn’t named Bill Belichick), but when he says something nice or praises the other team’s play it comes across as so truthful. He’s just an honest dude.
I mean, just look at that smile.
When you realize you’re 40 and still in the Playoffs
