you canât separate transmisogyny from racism. the radical feminism movement is so overwhelmingly white because their idea of what a woman is is so thoroughly steeped in white supremacy.
You canât separate transmisogyny from racism. Very important to remember
Youâve heard of âi didnât say it was good, i said i liked it,â get ready for âi said it had some technical problems & didnât fully deliver on its themes, not that i didnât like itâ
#I voiced a criticism of some of its aspects#which in no way implies I did not like it#âand especially does not imply that I would like to hear a defense of it of the form 'shut up and let people have fun'â

What's your writing process like for NTF?
Usually I plan out the big chapters in advance with my co-author, the trivia-off in Unfair Fair was written three months before it actually came out! For the shorter strips usually they come from bouncing off ideas with each other. A LOT of them just come from me having a funny idea that week. Finding Good Talent was literally made so I could use the phrase "lesbian vampire game".
what your favorite and least favorite webcomic?
My current favorite is What Happens Next by Max Graves!
My least? Uhhhhhhhhhh I don't really have one? I usually enjoy anything I read. Idk I don't care for Boyfriends.
Where is NTR set and what was your inspiration for setting it there?
Nerd: The Fanboys is set in a very fictionalized version of Northwest Indiana/Southside of Chicago. They technically live in a fake village called Berkton but it really replaces the IRL town of Lynwood.
Why I set it there? Idk I grew up in the midwest and it just made sense.
I feel like I am taking crazy pills
Who would you say is the hardest character in NTF to write? Similarly who's the easiest?
Wendy I'd say is the hardest since she's a lot more subtle than the other fanboys, plus despite popular opinion I'm not super chronically online like she is.
Easiest I'd say is probably Brett mainly because he's the most "normal" out of all of them.
Ask box is open! Send me some asks about NTF (or anything else) while I work! Tumblr has been eating my asks so if you already sent something in, send it again!
Any questions pertaining to spoilers or things that can be answered if you read the comic will be deleted.
really wish some things had turned out differently
bojack horseman really treated hollyhock loosing a large amount weight from being secretly drugged as something bad and unhealthy and not as something with a silver lining bc she was now thin and then had her gain the weight back with no one making comments about how that was âunhealthyâ and appropriately showed the fact that she was traumatized by the event and not secretly grateful other shows CAN NOT RELATEÂ
And this is the same show that showed another character hesitate to take medication to treat her severe depression because of the risk of weight gain and then showed her, after agreeing to take it, fat and happy and mentally healthy and loved by her partner for the rest of the show. It wasnât a temporary change to make a point then back to status quo, she got fat and stayed fat and the narrative told us it was better for her to be fat and healthy than thin and depressed or dead. And her weight wasnât a punchline! It just was how she was now.
Truly this show was doing some things.
These two are a married couple. They never wanted kids. Diane gets pregnant. They still donât want to have kids. Diane gets an abortion. At no point is the abortion blamed for any issues in their relationship. They agreed to it together, and that balloon made me laugh so hard I nearly had an asthma attack.
The core conceit of Lord of the Rings is pretty funny. You are a twenty three year old in a suburb of Maine. The little bracelet in your grandpaâs attic has an inscription on it that is the password to the worldâs entire nuclear arsenal. It is up to you to walk to the only hydraulic press in the world, located in Arizona, before the FBI finds the bracelet, kills you, and enslaves the suburb of Maine you currently live in
Also the 90-year old hobo that your grandpa beat in a rap battle for possession of the bracelet while hiding from the Romanian secret police really loved the bracelet because it was coated in small amounts of LSD and tried to hunt and kill your grandpa to get it back. He was then apprehended by the FBI and instantly gave them your grandpaâs address. Seal Team Six is about to break down your door and shoot you, says your local congressman who can also do cool magic tricks
There's a guy in NY who MIGHT be capable of destroying the codes but won't coz he simply wants to spend time with his wife. So it's up to your grandpa's old friend in rural Ohio to get you the friends capable of finishing the task.
And we must not, at any point, remember the existence of aircraft and ask aloud why we can't just fly to Arizona
We can't use aircraft because the fbi has access to all the flight data how many times do we need to go over this
