"You'll be alright, Fang. I let my pistol bang. Kitten said she want my thang, and all these titans lame..."
“…” Ok, he’s laughing a bit with that one.
"Aw man... she left you again?? Don't worry, I'll swoop her up then."
“Nah, dumped her. Don’t plan on ever getting back.”
The changeling chose to ignore the look Fang shot him, half to just annoy him and also not to make it obvious that Fang seemed to be getting tips from him - he didn’t need the Titans finding out that he was playing matchmaker now.
A confused brow lifted as he watched the mutant suddenly strike something in the water before the puddle turned red. If he thought that this little bug would’ve somehow messed with Blackfire’s plans, he must be nuts.
Not even Beast Boy would be stupid enough to eavesdrop on them from this close a distance.
“Wow, you’re a genius, Spidey. That was one of the most tactical plans I’ve ever heard of,” he couldn’t help himself but point out - the sarcasm was obvious in his voice and he quickly tried to cover up what he did. “But in one point, I’ve got to agree with long legs: Those guys don’t take long once they know there’s trouble so how about we speed things up?” he said before morphing into a gorilla, ripping of a light post and launching it towards one of the still floating boats.
@queenofthegalaxxy
She was a bit surprised when one of the spider-legs suddenly seemed to stab into the water without much sense, but once the water changed color it was obvious why he had done so. “Oh. Must’ve been able to hold their breath longer than others, that one.” And had been stupid enough to try and move close to her instead of trying to run as far away as possible; humans were idiots indeed.
“Speeding things up sounds good to me. Do you wanna contribute to the chaos here before we leave?” 2 minutes should be more than enough time to destroy a bit more before they leave. And if not, Blackfire could always make her own exit and leave those two behind to take the blame. Her question was answered when the grey changeling took a light post out of the ground and attacked one of the boats with it; the tamaranean’s eyes started to glow again as she slowly moved higher once more.
“That’s the spirit! Let’s see if we can turn this whole place into ruins before we take an exit!” She wouldn’t have thought such a big range of destruction possible on her own - good work took its time after all - but with two more people willing to do the same, they might be able to ruin at least half of the docks here, even with only 2 minutes left.
Rising a bit higher into the air, she held her hands together in front of her to load a big amount of glowing pink/purple energy in them, and then shot a continuous wide beam down, aiming for one of the boats and practically cutting it to pieces.
@spxder-head
It took a bit of shaking and slamming to get the corpse off of his leg, which reminded him why he had started using a gun. As insignificant as this human was, Fang knew that you never underestimated anybody. Just when you think somebody can’t do anything, that was when you were in trouble. One person could mean the difference between a few years in jail, or freedom.
Maybe this one had just though they could climb up for air, that the trio was going to leave. But as he always said, go big or go home. “Shut it rip-off.” While he had appreciated the grey one’s efforts, he was already getting on his nerves. Of course, most people did, yet another thing he never understood.
Beams shot out from his mouth, paralyzing the unfortunate passengers before he took out his laser gun. A carefully aimed shot went through one of the boats, sinking it with the passengers on board.
They must have been having too much fun, seeing as the approaching officers went unnoticed. “... Looks like I was wrong about the Titans being the ones to show up, Though, this does raise the question of how stupid people can be.” Regular, powerless officers, sent to fight them? This had to be a joke.
@inncrbcast
Dudeee... your girlfriend is hot.
“I’m assuming you mean my ex.”
It was honestly funny to watch how Blackfire started attacking the boats and how the people thought they could escape the alien by just jumping off the boat. He always found it good entertainment to scare people or cause a little chaos. Too bad he couldn’t do neither of those ever since he fought his weak self.
The alien seemed to notice them as she approached an he rolled his eyes. “Duh! He’s as obvious as an elephant hiding behind a bush. Grey’s much better - especially if you want to do a sneak attack,” he bragged, not wanting to admit that he did get a little offended by her remark. “Bet you couldn’t do that to Starfire with all that bright purple.”
Fang spoke up, introducing himself…before he completely messed up by being impressed by her - most probably by her looks….or was it that she destroyed several boats almost at once? He couldn’t really tell.
But he didn’t want him to lose face in front of the alien and nudged him in the ribs.
“I think he wanted to tell you something, right, Fang?” he asked the other with a raised brow. Don’t mess this up, dude.
@queenofthegalaxxy
Blackfire chuckled at the changeling’s response to her pointing out the different color. “Relax, I never said I liked his color or anything. It’d just be a very bad result if someone tried to clone him and you’re the result, because, you know, you probably would have to paint your body everytime you impersonate him. And cover your eyes of course.” Now pretending to be slightly offended, she added: “Oh, please. I can sneak up on her whenever I want, under any circumstances.” Heck, even if she’d be making noise with every single movement she did, the black-haired tamaranean was sure she’d still be able to surprise-attack her younger sister. If only her annoying friends weren’t around all the time.
“Interesting name, Fang.” Didn’t sound like a given name, but who was she to judge? She had accepted Blackfire as her name even though it was the translation to a language of one of the planets she disliked the most. She smirked upon his next comment, or rather the almost speechless-sounding answer to taking a look at her work.
“Oh, trust me, there’s a lot more I can do. Just, not when I know my sister and her pesky friends will appear soon after I start.”
Looking to the grey Beast Boy for a moment and then refocusing on Fang, she placed her hands on her hips. “Well, what is it?”
@spxder-head
Well what was he supposed to do? Act bored and like he could have done better? Totally could have. If there was one thing Fang knew, it was that you didn’t insult someone if you planned on hooking up with. Sure, there was a slight chance of it going to shit by inflating their ego, but it gets so much worse if you do nothing.
A nudge to the ribs brought him out of his thoughts, and he shot the changling the ‘I’d like to see you do better look.’ He was trying, but making a good impression is hard when one is unfamiliar with the species. What could be considered flirting on Earth could be considered an insult for her, so he would just have to remain calm and look out for any signs that he was fucking up.
Fang was most certainly not a given name, but Charlie didn’t exactly strike fear into anyone.
“About two minutes if I’m guessing correctly. Maybe less, considering they know where to go.” Something in the water seemed to catch his attention, one of his spider legs raising up and piercing through the water. A confusing action, until the water started turning red. “... Missed one. Don’t need anybody who’ll tell them what direction we’re headed.”
@inncrbcast
inncrbcast:
The gray changeling glided through the air almost effortlessly and slowed down a little to see if the other took him up on his offer - he didn’t really care much for that spider head.
He just did this to get some entertainment - whatever the result would be, he’d definitely enjoy it.
And see there, the spider mutant did follow him as he bounced off from roof to roof.
The changeling sped up again until he came up by the docks and landed on one of the numerous boats as soon as he saw Blackfire in the air - as angry as always. He morphed back to human and turned to his companion.
“Once she’s done letting off some steam, go and get her. Just remember to play it cool.”
@queenofthegalaxxy
Oh, it was so much fun to blast the humans! Yes, Blackfire was aware that she was in Jump City, and that soon enough her sister and her little friends would arrive, but she couldn’t care less about that. It’s not like she ever had problems to get away from them once the fight turned too much against her favor, so she simply chose to enjoy her fun as long as she could before she’d have to confront them once again.
She had just been throwing a permanent beam of purple energy onto one of the populated boats, causing it to ultimately go up into flames once she hit the right area, and a few of the earthlings jumped off of the boat, which only caused her to smirk a bit further. “What’s the matter, afraid of getting burned on there? Here, let me help you.”
Two big balls of energy loaded in her hands, and after a moment to allow the fear of the people to rise, she started shooting down everyone that had jumped into the water with a barrage of starbolts.
Once there was no more movement seen anymore aside from the burning flames that covered the ship, she laid back in the air and laughed. “Now that’s how I like my entrance. So… are they here yet?” She looked around, to see if she had to battle the Titans already, but instead she saw just two figures that seemed to be watching her from a bit away. Approaching them just enough to see and hear them, the glowing energy in both hands and eyes ceased and she raised a brow at the two. “Who are you? And hey, if that’s a clone or something of a Titan you’ve made for yourself; hate to say it but you might have forgotten a tiny detail: He’s green, normally.”
@spxder-head
It was without a doubt that the Titans were going to show up soon, and were likely on their way. At most, they had five to ten minutes. Depended on how bad things were at the area. There were three of them here and five Titans, they were outnumbered and outpowered, meaning they were absolutely screwed if they didn’t get out in time.
Randomly attacking populated areas would certainly land one in the deep end, despite their attempts to let villains live, even the Titans could succumb to their tempers. All heroes had a few of those moments, moments where they finally realized that it would be easier to just off their enemy. Probably why the academy kids seemed to be careful of their surroundings at times.
“... Clone?” A quick look to the person next to him. What was he anyway? Clone? Twin? Whatever the case, he didn’t really give a shit. “I actually have no idea where this guy came from." Though he did seem to be smarter than the actual thing.
“Name’s Fang, you must be Blackfire.” He stood up on his human legs, looking at the alien. Well, the grey dude wasn’t kidding when he said this was Starfire’s sister, looked just like her. Then, another quick look to the destruction behind her. “... Woah.” Was that the true power of a Tamarenean? Once again, he was questioning how his now ex-girlfriend had survived that fight.
@inncrbcast
While prison was supposed to prevent people from committing crimes again, it didn’t always work out that way. For some, it only served as a temporary lesson, letting them know that they needed to readjust their strategy, to not get caught next time. It also served as escape practice, learning how to get past security, learning the quickest ways out. None were that good at holding him if he didn’t want to be there.
Why wasn’t this girl going away? Surely she had better things to do. Or maybe not. Was she even aware of the fact that they were likely going to be fighting again? Were heroes that stupid?
No. I don’t even want to be near you. I don’t care to know you, and I’m probably going to be trying to put you six feet underground within the next week or so. Even if I did want to, it would lead to meeting the other Titans, who would definitely whoop my arachnid butt, and I don’t want that. You can all rot in Hell for all I care.
But he didn’t say that, because he wouldn’t have entirely meant it. “And you assume that I, the dude with a spider for a head, would eat something, or somewhere, most humans do because...?”
“So have I, and I’ve done it all without any training from the academy. Without the academy, I’m still something, while you and your friends are nothing.”
“Not like I got anything better to do.”
They may not have had anything against each other, but it didn’t change the fact that they were still somewhat on opposite sides. He was prepared to strike if necessary, but knowing these supposed heroes, he wouldn’t have to.
“That’s what everybody calls me.” Not the choice of nickname he wouldhave gone with, but it seemed to fit his current situation.
How was it possible for people to be this... cheerful? Was this a hero thing? Was this an alien thing? The world may never know.
“Change?... Fuck that.”
Nothing ever changed, and neither would he. He mostly just didn’t want to go to jail again so soon. His legs were still a bit stiff from all that time they were tied up. Not to mention the fact his cellmate wasn’t exactly... ideal.
What would be the point in changing anyway? He was already labeled, and a lot of people hated him anyway. For now, he’d just go back to fixing stuff, until he could strike again. Not that he was going to tell her that.
“I just don’t feel like having my ass handed to me again.”
Fang knew how things like this usually went. Go fight the heroes, and get your butt kicked at one point or another. Maybe you’d win, maybe you wouldn’t. Depended on who you fought and how many. “And if we end up in jail instead?” No denying that it was a possibility, but it was nice to have a break from that place.
At least the jail part wasn’t a concern anymore. Though, there might have been another after hearing the familiar voice on the device.
One look at the communicator, and he made his choice. He took off of the shapeshifter, speeding across the buildings, hopping wall to wall, rooftop to rooftop.
{ @spxder-head liked for a starter }
“So, you d-rank villains actually going to do something or is ruining proms all you are good for, hm?” Is this mean? This is probably mean. Does she care? No, no she doesn’t.
“Don’t exactly see any of you doing better. If you’re all so high and mighty, then why have you repeatedly failed to take down the Titans?”
Out of this world? Why did he feel like the other meant that literally?
“... She’s in jail, isn’t she?”
Not that that would be anything new. But busting someone he didn’t even know out wasn’t exactly something he planned on doing. So hopefully this would just be one of those ninety minute visits.
You’re the only one that’s bugging me right now.
It was more than his criminal activities and he knew it. The reason there was never any real point in stopping, he was still a freak. A guy with a spider for a head couldn’t really ever have a normal life, no normal job, no normal family. So, he stuck with the people who didn’t have a right to judge.
“.... Meh. I guess you can stay if you want.”
“Well, that’s a relief.” Seriously, it would be nice to go a whole week without that kind of thing.
“I don’t think I really have a type. No harm in meeting her, right?” As long as he could survive and get out in one piece, it would be fine. Though, maybe he should wait a bit and take a break from relationships?
Was she serious? Sure, he kind of had it coming when she had blasted him before, but that person isn’t exactly the one you want around.
No. Now scram.
“Fine, but no blasting.”
Mentally, he was cursing himself. But there really wasn’t any harm in it, and it wasn’t like there were a lot of other people he could be talking to instead.
Wait, this was the enemy, even if he wasn’t doing anything, he should be tearing her limb from limb, not having a fucking chat with her. This was an enemy... but it wasn’t his when he thought about it. Just Kitten’s. Without her, this was just your average alien, no harm done.
