“It’s kinda like that one time I rode a mine cart through a dangerous mine!” Spot laughed as she got bumped around on the ride. “Didn’t you say there was something else to this ride?” Spot asked as they rounded a bend in the track. She remembered Spyro mentioning something else about this ride, but couldn’t remember

“Hello Mr. Clocksmith Man Person. Can I interest in some delicious ice cream made by me? I got all sorts of flavors from the classics to fun combinations to even my speciality flavors like Chicken and Gravy! It’s both dinner AND dessert!” Lindar got approached by a rather excitable and possibly crazy lady dragon elder though only an elder in title as she was still on the young side. (I really want to branch out with RPing Spyro stuff and you seemed to be the easiest to come to. ^^;)

Lindar jumped back, wings fluttering in slight surprise as the other dragon suddenly approached. She was the excitable sort, apparently- the entire pitch was out in a few moments. He hardly had time to blink before ice cream flavors were being touted to him. He adjusted his goggles, almost uncomfortable- almost, save that the interaction was too goofy to actually make his hackles rise. It actually made him smile some.

"Uh...Hey there! Name's Lindar, actually- and sure. Can't say no to ice cream in this weather..."

He blinked for a minute, trying to rack his brain for any memory or slight clue to her identity- but there was nothing. He hadn't met her before?

"...Though I don't think we're familar, Miss...?"

He made a gesture with his wrist, inviting her to add her name to the end of his sentence.

Lindar held the cone in hand for a moment, listening to the dragoness ramble.

"I think I get what they mean," he thought, but didn't say. He looked at the cone again, and honestly it looked...quite appetizing. More than that. Her description of it sounded pretty great, too.

His tail started to wag despite himself. He smiled, taking a lick of the frozen treat.

And.

Oh.

Mother.

Serpent.

This was actually good! He took another bite, and another, and another. He couldn't help himself: it was absolutely delicious! He finished his cone up in no time at all and then fished a few gems out of his satchel, handing them to her.

"That was really great!" He said, "maybe you should consider setting up shop around somewhere. I bet the hatchlings would really love it, too."

He could already see the little guys' reactions- and the very thought made him chuckle. They'd go absolutely feral if offered a single spoonful, let alone an entire cone. Heck, after that one cone, he almost wanted to go feral- it was that good. She was truly talented in her craft.

When Lindar said her ice cream was great, Holly’s face lit up like a christmas tree. She jumped around with joy as if she was a hatching. “OH THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! IT MEANS SO MUCH THAT YOU LIKE MY ICE CREAM!” She squealed. “I actually did want to set up an ice cream parlor in my home to sell my ice cream, BUUUUT most of the artisans laughed at me and said “we’re not letting a lunatic like you poison everyone with your frozen gunk. Be thankful we haven’t kicked you out of the artisan yet.” and all those fun words.”

They soon both hopped into the cart and Spot was ready to go. She looked around the cart and wondered many things about it. “Is this thing gonna do our what?”

{🔥}—; “Yep just give it a second.” Not very long after he said that, the cart began to move at a moderately quick pace. It came through the opening of the mountain and out into the air where a view of the rest of the area could be seen from a high vantage point.

“Woooooaaaahhhh. That’s some viewwwwwwaahaaahhh!” The cart really began to move now and boy was the white dragon caught off guard by it. She wasn’t scared. She was laughing!

“I’ve never been on a roller coaster before.” Spot wagged her tail in excitement.

“What’s it like to ride?”

{🔥}—; “It’s pretty fast! I’d say it’s a lot of fun, you feel the wind as you go against it and it’s a lot of fun gettin’ a view of the place from all the way up there!” Spyro pointed out the tracks that were running above them where the coaster would go through.

“Alright you have me sold. Let’s do it!” Spot looked around for the entrance to the ride and as soon as she saw it, she bolted off.

His name was familiar to her?- Strange, because he was sure he hadn't met her before- but he wasn't thinking much of that now; now he was just wondering what he had gotten himself into.

Well, it was too late to back out. He felt if he did, he might at some point in the nearby future experience a rather unfortunate ice cream-related accident...Ok, maybe nothing that severe...but she might get upset. She was a little bizzare, sure, but she seemed nice enough, and he didn't want to sour her mood.

Lindar looked over the contents of the cart with a slight nervous tension- how did so much ice cream fit into such a small space? That was a feat in and of itself, really- and scanned the options. There certainly was a myriad of them, ranging from the usual to the mind-boggling. He wouldn't know where to begin choosing, so he narrowed down his options; he wasn't so sure about whatever "whamming watermelon wasabi" was, but he knew his way around chocolate...

"Uh...I guess I'll have a death by chocolate- hold the death," he half-joked. He knew that the ice cream wouldn't be poisoned or anything horrendous like that, but he still had his reservations- how could you make BBQ an icecream flavor?

“A creamy classic! DIALED UP TO ELEVEN!” Holly took out a scoop and a cone and began to scrap out two scoops. She plopped them onto the waffle cone and presented it to Lindar with the upmost goofy smile.

“Here ya go! This flavor goes to the EXTREME by using creamy rich chocolate ice cream and mixing it with a dark chocolate sauce swirl, white chocolate chips even though white chocolate isn’t even real chocolate, and some BROWNIE CHUNKS!” She certainly didn’t exaggerate. Every chocolatey component can be seen in the two scoop.

“Everyone keeps saying it’s one of my few “good” flavors. No idea what they mean by that.”

“Excuse me, Mr. Zeke. Do you have any myths and legends in the beast maker realms? I’d very much like to know some for when I’m out exploring the swamps and forests of your home.” Asked a white dragoness who was about Spyro’s age. Her wings and tail had these giant rings in them. She also sported gear similar to someone who travels quite a bit.

Zeke blinked at the young dragoness for a moment, wondering idlely what guild she belonged to- he certainly hadn't seen her around before. The question settled in his ears, and then he relaxed back into his rocking chair. Just a curious youngin', nothing new. He smiled.

"Actually, yes," he said," if you take a good look-see 'round the place, you should notice alot of shrines an' temples- these are dedicated to our patron spirits- those of the Mothers and Fathers of beasts, created by our founder. Also, be weary of the spirits 'round the swamp- some are only mischievous, and might befuddle your path, but there are less friendly ones who will do worse- not to mention the various monsters."

He leaned back in his chair with a chuckle. "If you want to know about 'em all, you better have a day to spare."

“I have plenty of time to spare if you willing to converse with me, fair elder.” The young dragon was very polite and well-mannered. She sat eagerly awaiting for her elder to speak about the spirits.

“I’m always ready to learn new things about the lands we dragons call home.”

“Alright… next stop fun!” Spot walked through the portal and soon enough, she was standing on the sandy beaches of Dragon Shores.

“Wow… I’ve… never been here before, I’ve been all over the place!”

But I’ll show you why it’s so great out here, I bet you’ll like it!” Spyro spoke excitingly as he led her through the beach, the sand was warm and he could feel a cool breeze blowing past his vibrant scales. “There is all kinds of stuff here, even a small amusement part if y’wanna check it out!”

“I must say… it’s all so overwhelming! What do you recommend we do first?” Spot looked excited for something other than ancient ruins for once. She almost felt like what she truly was: a kid

“Oooohh, it’s scrumdilliously DELICIOUS! Making ice cream is such a TREAT! Both figuratively and literally! I can NEVER stop eating it!” Holly gleamed with excitement at the aspect of explaining ice cream to someone of a younger age. It was pretty evident that she loved ice cream as not only did she have a pink apron with an ice cream cone on it, she was also caked in ice cream stains. Covered from her clothes to her pasty red scales

“The possibilities are INCALCULABLE! I’m always trying to make new flavors every chance I get!” The ice cream stained dragon exclaimed.

“Even if the other’s aren’t so thrilled with my more experimental ones.” She chuckled as she scooped a hefty bit of chocolate ice cream in her spoon tail spade and slurped the whole thing down in one gulp.

Holly was certainly an interesting one. Interesting may have been an understatement, but it was the nicest word that he could think of to describe her. He knew that the dragons took what they did seriously, but she was practically fanatic when it came to making ice cream.

Then the thought occurred to him. He wasn’t given a dragon to shadow today. He was only given the task of making a delivery to Holly. He was suppose to be learning, so he thought to propose the question.

“Would you, allow me to watch as you make some Holly? I am trying to learn what I can from the artisans after all. If you would let me, I wouldn’t mind watching the process.”

Holly grinned the biggest grin that could be thought possibly for a dragon. Someone? Actually WANTING to learn from her? It was unthinkable to most! The ice cream maker rushed over and pulled Bravad into a one armed side hug.

“ABSOL-FUDGE RIPPLE-LUTEY! I never get the chance to impart knowledge to the next generation! Everytime I ask to teach the kids about ice cream, the other artisans keep telling me things like ‘Bugger off, you lunatic’ or ‘We rather NOT have the youth become deranged like you’ and such.” Holly didn’t seem bothered by such words, but a close eye could see a slight twitch in her one eye.

“Anywho, I have a small wooden ice cream maker that you can practice on after you see how the ice cream is made.”

“Ice like this is rare as in only forms deeeep below glaciers. It’s packed SSSSSOOOOOOO tightly, it takes a lemony long time to melt so it’s perfect to keep my ice cream and whole house cold!”

The deranged ice cream maker said as she lifted it up. With a flick of her tail, she turned the lights on which dimly lit the main room of Holly’s home which was actually a full blown laboratory. Big vats of various ice cream flavors being made. Multiple AC units pumped cold air into the room to make sure everything was perfect.

There were many rumors that surrounded this Artisan from her Bloody Creamicle having actual blood in it to having a frozen gnorc deep in her freezer. Regardless of what was true or not, one thing was for certain… She was more mad scientist than Artisan.

The rumors about Holly were not lost on Bravad. While none of what he had heard about her was negative, he had heard about her rather… Eccentric personality. Something that he was now experiencing first hand. Part of him wondered if she actually a Beast maker or Dreamweaver with her set up. This wasn’t exactly the standard set up for a Artisan dragon

Cold was right. Even with him trying to warm himself up, it only granted his scales a small reprise from the cold. He wondered how Holly was putting up with it, though it might’ve just been she was used to it.

“So, what’s it like making ice cream if I may ask? I am Bravad, by the way.” He would say, introducing himself since he realized he hadn’t told Holly his name yet

The shadowy figure slowly moved toward the light from the door and then…

“Oh Awesomesauce! I’ve been waiting five-EVER! Gimme Gimme!” The dragon gleamed with a toothy smile

It was Holly. She grabbed the box from Bravad’s hands and placed it on the ground. She took the knife she held in her hand and brought it to the seal. However she quickly took the knife and used it as a toothpick before tossing it away. She ripped opened the top like a hatchling to a Christmas present. She then picked up open and held it upside and slow slide out a… block of ice?

“Yes! My deep glacial ice block came!”

Well, you could consider the dragon sufficiently confused by this attitude. Here he was half expecting to have to run to the door, and instead he was in the presence of a very excited dragon.

He’d watch as the knife was tossed away. Watching as the contents of the box slid out. That explained why he was freezing cold while he was holding it and why it was a express delivery once it got off the balloon.

“So that’s why the box felt like it came from one of the Dreamweavers mountain tops.” Bravad would reply, turning his head and covering his mouth as he blew a small bit of fire in it to try and warm his scales up.

“So, what is the ice block for, if it’s alright for me to ask?”
