Welcome to the SQ Kinktober 26 blog

We're back for another round this year ! This blog is fully dedicated to hosting the SwanQueen 2026 Kinktober event.

Anyone can participate, and all contributions are welcome: fanfics, fanart, any length, any language are welcome as long as they comply to the (few) rules we have put in place to help everyone have a good time!

. Event Rules .

Ships: All work should include some version of the SwanQueen ship (can be Regina x Emma, Evil Queen x Dark Swan etc...). It doesn't have to be ONLY them, but they should of course be included.

AI Use: No generative AI can be used in the creation of your work.

Themes: There are no hard limits on the topics you can explore through the prompts, BUT your work should be properly tagged before it can be added to the collection

Overall: BE NICE. Creators work hard on their works, so we won't tolerate any form of hate or bullying during the course of this event, either in comments or in private. Don't like something someone created? Keep Scrolling.

For fanfics:

We created an AO3 collection you can freely add your work to (It's only moderated so we can make sure fics are properly tagged/avoid eventual spam). Be careful to add your work ONLY to the SQ Kinktober 2026 subcollection, it will be automatically added to the SQ Kinktober parent collection automatically :) If anyone needs it, the organizers of this event do have some AO3 invites available, please don't hesitate to contact us if you want one. (See contact info below)

We'll be tracking the #sqkinktober26 here on Tumblr!

For each day of October, you will get both a kink AND a dialogue prompt. You can do both or either each day! You can find the complete list of prompts here.

We have opened a Discord server for anyone who wishes to participate in this event by creating something! You can learn more about it an request an invite here.

. Comment Contest .

This year around, we are also hosting a comment contest for kinktober, in which you can win spectacular prizes. You can find all the info on how it works and how to participate here.

. F.A.Q .

Is there a minimum/maximum wordcount?

There is no minimum or maximum word count! But AO3 does have a minimum of 50 words or so in order to post a work, so that's the only constraint you'll have if you want to post to the collection.

Are crossovers/AU accepted?

Crossover and/or AU works are absolutely accepted! We want our writers to have complete freedom of creativity. As long as Swan Queen is more or less the main focus, crossover away!

When is the deadline to be added to the collection?

The official challenge is to complete the prompts within the month of October; however, we will accept submissions to the AO3 collection through November 13th! Life happens, and we are completely understanding of that. After November 15th, you are still more than welcome to post and tag us in your works, but it will not be included in the official collection for this year.

One of the proposed themes on the list is kinks / fetishes. We actually have the perfect swanqueen event that focuses on exactly this - and a whole month before swanqueen week 12 (so that you can get your fic fix in faster)! Plugging our amazing friends back at @sqkinktober ! In the spirit of not repeating events, we will be taking that one off our list. SQ Kinktober 2026 Discord Server Launch !

Are you planning on participating in the 2026 SwanQueen Kinktober event ? Then we've got something for you!

As a new addition to this year's event, we are lauching a Discord server for all participants to join if they wish to.

This was thought as a place to discuss our wips, hype each other up, share inspiration and build an overall SQ creators community. It's a small and intimate server, no pressure, just a space to gather anyone who wants to chat about this event 🖤

We are keeping it invite only to avoid eventual spam. The only condition to join is to plan to create anything for the 2026 event (even if it's just one single piece for a specific prompt, you are welcome to come hang out).

If you wish to join the sever, you can ask for an invite here or reach out to any of our mods (contact infos are in our pinned post) we'll be more than happy to give you one. (if you have already expressed your wish to join the server in our suggestion form, then we took it into account and you will get an automatic invite on August 1st <3)

Introducing: The SwanQueen Kinktober Comment Contest

Inspired by our wonderful friends over at the Supernova mod team, we’ve decided to celebrate commenting in this year’s kinktober event! We all know that love and support for explicit fanworks is sometimes hard to come by – but worry not! For this purpose, we have come up with some small incentives to remind our beloved readers that a few words of encouragement might make all the difference.

We have decided to give out prizes in 2.5 categories:

Spoil ‘em with love The commenter who writes the most eligible comments across all works posted for SwanQueen Kinktober 26 wins the artists’ undying love, bragging rights across the swen-verse, and a one-shot written by your favourite sqkinktober mod (@thatbitchwhowritesstuff, @kurtsvonneslut, @jelach or @cinnonym). Just send a prompt to either of us and receive a fic in return (max. ~10k; we love you but we’re busy busy people).

Getting lucky tonight For every eligible comment written for a work posted for sqkinktober26, one lot with the commenter’s name is entered into a raffle – the more comments you write, the better are your chances to win an art piece created by our wonderful mod Lau (@jelach). The same rules apply: send a prompt, and they work their magic (the sheer volume winner is excluded from the raffle to distribute prizes more fairly).

Winner of the Hearts (this one is a joke but it's also not) The commenter who writes the comment we mods like most across the whole challenge wins (but may refuse, lol) a thirst-trap of our one and only Eddy (@thatbitchwhowritesstuff): with or without sword, you may decide (unless you Don’t Like Eddy Like That, in which you may pass on your prize).

How it works:

The attentive reader may have noticed the persistent presence of the qualifier ‘eligible’ in the previous descriptions. This is because we have decided to champion thoughtful and heartfelt comments over short (if still treasured!) notes. For this purpose, only comments that include at least two sentences and one remark that is unique to the fanwork that it’s posted under, is eligible for this contest. For example, something like “This was a wonderful story! I especially liked the moment when Emma pinned Regina to the wall <3” would count, whereas “Loved it!” would not. We’re not going to judge you on your literary criticism skills (though Zoe is a literature major, lol), so please don’t worry about the “quality” of your comment too much. We just ask you to be extra appreciative of our authors and artists: love over anything!! Also, although we obviously always encourage you to comment on older fics as well, for the purposes of this contest there does need to be a deadline. We will count all comments left on works in the sqkinktober26 collection between 1 Oct – 30 Nov 2026. The winners will be announced in the first week of December.

SQ Kinktober Vampires

No, do not look at what day this one ought to have been posted. I am tagging it as kinktober since we still in October but I admit time has been a thing this past month. Nevertheless.... *dramatic flair* The last prompt I'll be submitting for this October, your honor. Hope it is enjoyed!

Ah, I went with my usual pure vibes only type of thing so it's less porn-y and no E rated. Soft M here. For the pure porn I rec Blasphemy folks.

The blonde's right hand went up the vampire's arm, past the bony side of her wrist, tightly angled, half covered in ropes from which the fumes of her blood emanated in softly illuminated red and white hues. Ichor. A far too tasty bite for so many creatures.

Emma had found the taste of her own blood enchanting enough for her to understand when the creature snapped her mouth shut, magic channeling out of her as torso and hands moved into her personal space: wanting and wishing to grab and own.

Own her.

She kept on focusing on slowing her breathing as her hand mapped the elbow, touching the cords and letting the  absence of warmth permeate through her own body. She saw how muscles and skin reacted to the touch, reaching for more of her. She heard the snarl and smiled, just enough.

"Patience, Your Majesty" She could feel the snark climbing through her chest, the way it buzzed and dripped out of her. It felt intoxicating, to be able to speak like this, to be able to focus her wording into one that would not cower because of her own humanity of lack-thereof. She had a soul still, after all. Unlike, some stories said, the one in front of her.

A title, one abandoned and bereft so long ago but one that felt appropriate standing as she was, as they were, in the middle of the ballroom that would've have seen so many dances and festivities in a life long past in what had simply be called the Enchanted Forest once. Emma watched as her hand moved past biceps and shoulder, leaving imprints of discoloration there where her thumb pressed harder. She felt her own breath hitch, she felt the smirk of the Queen as she did so.

It was almost clinical, the way her brain latched onto the idea of how much would she explore that absence of a soul, of something similar to remorse, how would she prove it to those that pointed to her own mouth, to her own hunger for veins and pumping hearts.

"Your blood might be powerful" She heard, a rumbling voice, one that was a whisper but could fill an entire room if deemed so. She felt the need to look slightly to the left of where her hand was, as her thumb kept on pressing, trapped between muscles and bones as her own magic chanted alongside the voice, requesting a proof of loyalty her dhampir body needed to give in. "But" Clicking, teeth and tongue, soft and pliable, singing softly and painting a picture she felt her body tremble with need for it: of silver crowns covered and dripping with blood, of wooden stakes used to penetrate and break. "I wonder how long would it take for you to admit defeat if I showed you what you could have. What you will have"

The dhampir bit onto her lower lip, looking finally, to the eyes that stared at her, unblinking, lacking a certain amount of shame she felt the need to savor and look at. She felt her own teeth, elongating and hungry as the once-upon-a-Queen chuckled and bared her own fangs; sharp. Emma's hand halted as she curled it, leaving enough space for the Queen's neck to be cupped, knuckles painfully aware of each others presence as she pressed and watched, as the enchanted ropes hold, crafted and powered by the way she willed it so. She had reacted on pure instinct, the same that now made her sway softly as the image of closing mouth and purple marks filled her, as the magic that had been casting running shadows onto the ballroom twisted and pulled both women together. One, trapped in the middle, ink made of shadow covering her body enough for sigils and words to be spied upon. The other, a hunter turned creature, a creature turned need.

Emma wondered how much would it hurt for that mouth to close around her own neck. How much would she melt onto it. How much would the gold and silver of her blood turn into a much more malleable material as the Queen had her fill.

Did she want it?

To free the woman, to look from her feet where the image of her mind pictured her, kneeling and looking, neck bare and two puncture wounds marking her, making her hers, and only, solely hers. To have the forest and those within' one single Kingdom once more, one single name that would echo on those smart enough to whisper a creed that carried the power that gave the faintest echo to the walls and floor that now contained them both.

She could feel her body moving closer, her hand climbing up, past skin and onto hair, soft and dark and in an updo that left the softest, most tender part of the neck, where skull and nape met, empty for her nails to dig into as the Queen let out a chuckle, one charged as brown eyes glimmered purple.

"How much do you want my blood?"

Did not she want that, she wondered. To give in. To offer herself.

A silly question. Emma knew the hunger she could feel on those eyes. She was able to feel how her body was beginning to clench, her breathing labored, her clothes a discomfort she wanted to take away, shred if needed. 

The Queen hummed as she looked down as Emma moved closer, chests almost touching, hand on hair one movement away from pulling. If following her gaze, Emma could feel the way her heart felt like leaping out of her, how it made her blood pulse on her veins, carrying with it the power of not only freedom but something that spoke of revenge on her bloodline, the knowledge of getting her, Emma, under a spell the blonde knew, as vaguely dizzy as she was, she would never wake up from.

She could picture it, the way she would undress, the way she would move forward one last inch, the way she would angle her neck, the way she would let the teeth sink and her strength be transformed. She would moan onto it, maybe even come as the tightly trapped creature freed herself and grabbed her. Her hands moving slowly onto her shoulders, down her chest, towards her hips. She would press her body, request to be touched, whimpering, breathy mess.

She sighed as the Queen licked the underside of her teeth, halting on her fangs, her fingers trembling as they finally, finally, closed around hair, pulling back up, pushing them together in an angle, muscles seizing.

"I would suck you dry."

Emma blinked, daze lifting from her enough for laughter to come out, like bottled bubbles that circled them both as she shook her head, lowering her brow as she pushed herself completely against the older woman, her free hand finally rising from where it had stood, at her side, dagger magicking its way in-between her fingers.

"Let's prove that theory"

She pulled the Queen's head back with her fingers, tightened hair and the indentation of a crown. One that she would offer, maybe, perhaps. Images of a kneeling predisposition, of a land offered and given and accepted. Of nothing but desire running through her as the last consummation of her change took place. 

Spying onto purple against brown, Emma suck on air as the tip of the dagger broke through her clothes; the leather, the white pure cloth beneath, her skin. She pressed hard enough to cause the tip to angle, for her hand to almost fail and as her teeth broke through her lips, causing twin vertical wounds in response to the pain and the scent of ichor. She saw through the peripheral of her vision how The Queen's hands trembled and curled; the softly illuminated glow of purple that originated from where the older creature requested for her touch enough to cause her sex to clench around nothing once more.

Wooden stakes and silver. Corded spells and hexes.

Emma had lost far too much time, she thought, stupidly perhaps as she felt sweat beginning to form, on her forehead, beneath her nose. She had lost it with idle games when she ought to have, simply, do what she did next:

Hand still pushing, allowing for the wound to grow and her knees turn wobbly, she let her grasp onto the Queen's neck to fall, her own head lolling backwards as the a snarl covered the space between them, magic melting cloth, pushing until only skin awaited. 

She felt the tongue first, how it pressed against where her blood was beginning to thicken and dry, where her chemise had smeared it. She felt the hot breath as she moaned and whimpered, as her fingers curled and her sex gave in. She felt the way teeth came third, not quite breaking but grazing, magic filling her with the need of something, of promising castles and fortunes and a life lived in a companionship that pictured massacres and banquets and nothing more but hedowilnism.

Emma realized she wanted it. Wanted it all.

And, as Regina, The Queen, finally break through her skin and gorged herself onto her blood, dhampir turned vampire, turned creature, turned hers, Emma allowed for her orgasm to roll over her, blinding in dirty white and silver the remnants of a castle, one they would rebuild. One they would reign over with lips darkened by spit and gorgeous blood.
