Again, I can only assume that you have picked me from some random assortment of SQ bloggers to send generalized insults. Your complete failure to compose your hate in English the first time leads me to suspect that your command of the language isn’t good enough to actually read my blog on a regular basis to know what I actually think.
Because you see I’m not an “SQ is endgame” shipper and never have been. This is a Regina multishipping blog. Though I do think you should perhaps consider that your assumptions about a wedding are a fair bit off the mark.

I think there are a couple of basic flaws in your assumptions–besides thinking that I cared about any of this but that’s fairly obvious–you have mistaken what makes good fan fiction for what makes good television. Weddings and domestic bliss are just not something that television is interested in. Just ask Rumbelle. The second is that conventions aside from those that are contractually obligated to the show have any relationship to the future development of the show. Adam points this out repeatedly. They’re outside of the productions scope.
I know that you’ve probably been celebrating since the announcement and don’t follow the convention business… and hey if I lived in South Eastern France I’d be excited about my favorite actors coming to a convention in my country so you be you… you are probably not aware of why the people at xivents are in the position to offer you a CS only con.
You see actors have people called special appearance agents, commonly called “con agents”, who book such things. A very large chunk of Once’s cast, I’d almost say half that do cons, are represented by a woman named Julie Caitlin Brown. Now JCB is a tough and smart professional who has been running these things for years. She represents a lot of the Stargate actors as well. She was, shall we say, rather publicly and openly unhappy with the way xivents ran FT4. There were safety, security, and over crowding issues, fans were run around up and down flights of stairs putting a number with health issues in danger, and her clients were rushed, moved around on the schedule willy nilly and I’ve heard rumor their food didn’t come on time. Which is a big no no in these things. So JCB is not sending her talent to that con anymore, instead choosing People’s Con. Now last time I knew JCB represented among others Lana, Sean, Bex, Emilie, Karen David and some number of recurring cast members.
Now conventions are a small world and one of JCB’s good friends is a woman named Erin Grey, who is also one of the most respected con agents in the business and she represents another large chunk of the Once cast that does cons including mostly relevant for this discussion the three Queens of Darkness. It is highly unlikely that Erin Grey would be willing to send her talent to a convention blackballed by JCB. So that leaves the Xivents people with a small pool of talent in which to run their con. Which happens to include among other people Jen and Colin as the only headliners they could potentially have gotten. The marketing of the con as a CS event follows. As I said I’m particularly curious about how it works out as a financial enterprise as well as what other guests they manage to get to fill out their schedule. More power to them and I hope the fans that choose to go have fun. Just based on their past I’d expect a cluster fuck but fans generally don’t care about the disorganization of cons. Actors do. And their agents as the above story shows.
