uhhhh intro post i guess??

hello :) i am squiidangel on most places, including ao3, i'm mostly a fic writer, occasional artist but who's to say about that

i've been meaning to make a separate blog for my wrtings for a while now but never got around to it, but i hit fuck it so here we go

nothing here is going to be formal, just a place where i can yap about any fics i'm working on that won't get lost in my main/spam blog

i mostly write daredevil fics, some drabbles here and there, but mostly aus i've come up with while i should be doing other things

i do plan to have a decent organization system for my stuff, each au/piece of work i yap about will have specific tags, which i will list here (or in a separete post that i will link here) when i get to actually making said tags

anyway, hope my yapping can be comprehensible at times and you enjoy whatever writings i put out :)

Matthew Murdock and Frank Castle Au but is Project Hail Mary

Matthew would, of course, be Rocky in all of this. He'd be selfless enough to put himself on that ship and like, torture himself for 40+ years when they die thinking he could have changed something (he couldn't have but you try telling him that)

Frank as Grace, having a wife and kids to think about, being forced into space and vowing justice for those that took his family away from him or something, wanting to get home but knowing his family is probably gone by now

Or something something, I'm not good at these things. Can someone see the vision, though??

i had a really stupid idea for a rarepair but its not actually a rarepair at all

shadowland dd and cosmic ghost rider frank

context for this is that i finally got the shadowland dd card in marvel snap (yes the mobile game stfu) and the card is actuallly gas i actually really like it (😭) but when i got it i wanted to see what kind of bullshit auto-deck it would make, and it put cgr in the deck an di had a realy funny thought like what if they met

with all of cosmic ghost rider's time travel bullshit, it might happen, i think it would be hilarious

this is genuninly just fratt with extra steps, tht's all, not a rarepair in the least, but it could technically count

hey horrid idea, but more phm crossover stuff, put it with the mcu and what if the blip happened while the hail mary was on its way to tau ceti

like that's the reason why grace is by himself bc yao and ilyukhina got snapped

he still wakes up, no memories, but doesn't find any bodies in the other beds but maybe the display still says deceased bc there's no bodies there anymore. and then he meets rocky, all the same stuff happens, but rocky explains how some of his crewmates just went to sleep and din't wake back up, but some others suddenly disappeared into dust. they don't put the pieces together that this is what happened to grace's crewmates bc how could they?

and what if on the way back to rocky's ship realzing that it's going to run out of fuel, yao and ilyukhina suddenly reappear along with everyone else who disappeared. and then grace has to explain that heyy,, sorry,, we actually were going back home because we got more fuel, but my new best friend is going to die and be unable to save his planet, so we're actually not going back home,, sorry,, also yes my new friend is a rock don't worry about that,,

i don't think yao and ilyukhina would be too upset at this bc they also thought they were never going to go back to earth but now they get to meet aliens?? who cares about suddenly dissapearin for five years and not helping at all with the astrophage problem technically we get to meet aliens !!

and if rocky's crewmates, or some of them at least, suddenly reappear back on his ship, he has to make sure they all get to the engine room area so they don't die of radiation, on top of having to deal with the fuel problem

but hten grace makes his way back and everyone is okay yay !! the blip-a has to get left behind bc of the lack of fuel but then the hail mary becomes even more cramped on their way to erid bc suddenly two humans reappared and also rocky is not going to leave his remaining crew behind

like at least in the movie, the hail mary was decently big enough to probably store three humans and a handful (like maybe four or smth, idk) eridians, bc the book hail mary was tinyyyy

this also brings up the problem of food but let's not worry about that for right now

you ever think about how in the lore for dd in rivals, his entire timeline got destroyed and everyone he ever knew is dead now, and when he gets brought into the whole timestream entanglement thing all these heroes and others that he’s now working with on missions are people that he used ot know that might be similar enough, but not really bc those people are dead and these are just alternate versions of them from other timelines? bc I do. I think about that a lot

Hiiii!! I browsed a bit Malevolent DD AU and... I have a pretty good question: who is your "Larson"? If Matt is John and Foggy is Arthur, who is Larson? Fisk? And Faroe?? And, well, if Matt is John, is Yellow Mike?

hii!! all very good questions and i wish i had decent notes for this au to go off of, but alas

i was thinking of making larson fisk bc that makes sense, i don't have an entire plot worked out for past season 2 of malevolent, mostly just bits and pieces of who certain characters could be or how they could fit into the story. if i ever do write more for this au, i do want to do my own take on it, rather than an exact copy of malevolent for obvious reasons

and yeah i was thinking of making yellow mike lol, but for that i do have a bit more worked out, maybe even bringing in aspects of ikari into it bc he's the only other one who has the same powers as matt in the comics, and if he's going to be filling in the same role as matt in this au, but more of an asshole, ikari would fit pretty well i think. also bc i like ikari, he's very underrated

but this also would mean that mike or this ikari-mike fusion would end up with fisk lol

no idea who faroe would be,, uhh yeah that's about it on that one

i do want to include other characters, but i'm still working on how they would fit, like i said i don't have a huge plot worked out for this, just early malevolent stuff, but i do want to find a way to bring in people like Karen or Luke or Frank. Mephisto is also going to show up, thinking of making him their Kayne

my summer anatomy course is finally done i am free !!

the amount of muscles i have seen in the past three days is too damn much i know so much about muscles i can't-

i have about a month and a half until fall semester starts so hopefully i can get back to posting at a normal regular schedule, we'll see though :)

i had to draw all of my favoites together which only then made me realize they all have some kind of heightened hearing, which is a very odd niche of character to like lmao

tfp soundwave is so fucking hard to draw its not even funny, but he is my favorite version of soundwave ever so i had to draw him

i lowkey might make another version with book rocky, idw soundwave, and then jsut another suit for dd, maybe the back in black suit bc i love that one a lot

and i know idw soundwave is the one that has the actual heightened hearing, like the mf can hear thoughts, i know that. but have we considered that tfp soundwave is cooler?

or another version where i draw all of them like in their own version of vision, like matt in the radar sense, rocky in how his hearing was visually depicted in the movie, some bullsht for soundwave bc idk what i would do for him. i just want to draw them more </3

sketch + whatever the fuck pose soundwave was supposed to have bc most of him is covered up by the other two, and also tfp soundwav's body is just all kinds of fucked, why do i want to draw the most complex looking character ever
