you softly shut your textbook, careful not to wake up the boy fast asleep on your bed. your boyfriend, being the sleepy boy that he is, couldn’t help himself from falling asleep while waiting for you to join him after your homework was done.

being as quiet as you could be, you walked to your bed and sat down. you adjusted the covers around your sleeping boyfriend before brushing away the stray hairs on his forehead to plant a soft kiss there. unable to help yourself, you started playing with his hair, something you loved to do and something that he loved having done to him.

as your hands brushed through his hair, riki shifted in his sleep, opening his eyes sleepily. “y/n?”

“shh, i’m just playing with your hair,” you whispered.

riki’s eyes closed yet again, whatever built-up tension he had visibly leaving his body. you eventually managed to stop playing with his hair and instead get into bed with him. riki’s head instinctively found its way onto your chest, a soft smile eliciting from the boy.

“i missed you,” he said softly.

you giggled. “i was only over there. it’s too soon to miss me.”

his smile widened, though his eyes were still closed. “it’s never too soon to miss you.”

he wrapped his arm around your waist, cuddling into you more. “why didn’t you come into my life earlier?” he questioned.

“i could ask you the same thing,” you said, stroking his hair yet again.

no reply could be heard from him as he happily drifted off into sleep again, feeling the comfort of you next to him.

your boyfriend hummed from beside you. his head was on your chest as you held him close, both of your legs dangling slightly off the rooftop. the cold night air made you snuggle closer.

“thank you for being in my life,” you said quietly.

this made your boyfriend lift up his head to look at you. his soft brown eyes staring into your own made sparks go off in your chest.

“why are you saying that?” he asked.

the more you kept eye contact, the more memories started to flood into your head. of how insecure you were. of how you didn’t know what to do with yourself. until he came along. he was like the light in the dark pit that was your life before he had walked in.

tears brimmed your eyes in seconds, surprising the boy who was staring into them.

“y/n? what’s wrong?” he asked gently, pulling you into his arms.

“you won’t leave, will you?” you said quietly, letting your head rest on haruto’s chest.

“of course not,” he answered, concern evident in his voice. “i’m right here.”

“i’m sorry for being like this,” you said. “i wasn’t always like this, but then you came along.”

“what do you mean, bubs?” haruto asked. his fingers brushed through your hair softly, eliciting a comforting feeling.

“you helped me find who i am,” you looked up at him. “you’re the reason i am who i am today. you helped me stop being so insecure and... i just love you.”

haruto chucked slightly. “i love you too. you know that, right?”

you nodded against his warm chest as he wrapped his jacket around you to keep you warm from the cold air.

hi love! ughhh studying isn’t going too bad, and i just had my first exam today and it was okay so i’m a little less stressed. hope you’re doing well too angel!

as for my alltime favourite song, i think i don’t have one?? i’m the type to be obsessed with one song for a month or two and listen to nothing but that and then forget about it,, so i never really had an alltime favourite song. however, my favourite song atm is fever by enhypen! it’s so good i’m literally addicted to it, and i’ve listened to it like 50 times on repeat in one day.

a song that never fails to give me butterflies is some by bol4!! i’ve been listening to it for so long and it never seems to get boring, and just gives me the fluttery feelings of first love (or,, what i think first love would be idk i haven’t been in love haha).

So, India is dying.

Look, I know a good number of you are from the US and things aren't amazing there either, but my country is literally on the brink of collapse. So I'd love it if we could talk about that for a minute.

A second COVID wave has taken out the healthcare system. There are no more hospital beds. There's an oxygen shortage. There's a critical vaccine shortage. The Central Government has thrown its hands up and is passing the baton to the State Governments to do what they can.

There are over 16 million covid cases. A record 330,000 new cases reported yesterday - comparable to the US at its peak. 187,000 dead as of today.

There is no plan.

Mass cremations are taking place. The cremation grounds are running day and night and they are short on wood. People are watching their loved ones die while waiting for a hospital bed, and then they're unable to give them the proper burial rights.

Hospitals are overwhelmed. Patients are being confined, two to a bed. They're the lucky ones.

We are on the verge of people dying in the streets.

This is the second-most populous country in the world. The largest democracy. A country that encapsulates over 15,000 years of recorded human history and has endured everything from famine to invasion to colonisation.

We might be at the end. This might be the thing that does us in.

People are dying.

More good news? Variants are popping up. A double mutation strain has shown up. It is resistant to current vaccines. This will not go away. This is the devastation they warned of when the anti-maskers were out protesting the minor inconvenience of covering their face in public.

My country is on the verge of an emergency state. Our government has failed us. This is as dire a situation as it ever could be.

Look. I don't do much with my life. I write fics, some of you have read them and that's pretty much it. I spend my days with my head in the clouds because that's where I like to be.

But two days ago, my grandmother tested positive, had to be taken to hospital and the ambulance caught fire.

She barely made it to the urgent care she needs.

So, here I am, using whatever meager platform I have to cobble this request together. Because I have to do something.

i’m doing okay! it’s like 2am and i literally just made some chocolate lava cakes to share with my mom,,,

i haven’t watched the most recent treasure map episodes unfortunately :( my exams (sigh) start on the 2nd of may and i’ve been studying ugh i swear it always feels like i’m having exams. i did see some clips of treasure map on twitter and instagram though, and they’re so adorable!! i hope i can catch up soon!

about my writings, i actually don’t know which one is my favourite one atm,, i think it might be the most recent haruto imagine i wrote? I definitely felt really soft and warm inside while writing it, and i hope that’s how everything that reads it feels too!

i’m so glad you like my writing style 🥺 i’ve been writing since i was like,, seven,, so i’ve definitely had quite some time to experiment with it and figure out what i like most!! when i feel upset or i’m having a bad day, i’ll usually read some of my favourite fanfics to provide some comfort, so i hope that my writings can become a comfort for some people too!!
