the low hum of tension filled the air in the dimly lit room. yunho sat across from the businessman, his towering frame exuding an intimidating presence. his dark suit was flawless, his expression unreadable as he leaned back in his chair, one ankle resting casually over his knee. beside him, mingi stood like a shadow, his broad shoulders and stern demeanor making it clear he wasn't there for conversation.
the man seated before them, however, was a stark contrast.
his neatly pressed suit was damp with sweat, his frizzy hair sticking to his forehead as he dabbed at it with a handkerchief. beads of anxiety trickled down his temples as he stumbled over his words.
"I-I just need more time," the man stammered, his voice trembling. "If you could just— please, I swear-I'll pay it all back. every cent."
yunho tilted his head slightly, his lips curling into a mocking smirk. "Is that so?" his voice was calm, almost disinterested, but there was an edge to it that sent chills down the man's spine.
"y-yes! I just need a little more help. just one more loan, and I can turn everything around!"
yunho let out a low chuckle, shaking his head. he’d heard it all before. this man was no stranger to the mafia's generosity-or its consequences. every loan he had begged for had went straight into the casinos, and now he was neck-deep in debt. yunho had done his research.
"you’ve got quite the nerve," yunho remarked, leaning forward slightly. his dark eyes bored into the man, who squirmed under the weight of his gaze. "coming here to beg for more money when you haven't even paid back the last million you owe us."
the man flinched, his eyes darting to mingi, whose hand rested idly on his gun holster.
"I-I'll pay it back! I swear! just give me one more chance. you have to understand-"
"I don't have to understand anything," yunho interrupted coldly, his smirk disappearing.
the man's desperation boiled over into panic. his voice grew louder, more frantic. "you don't get it! you have to help me. you don't know what I'm going through- what my family is going through!"
his voice echoed through the walls, and yunho’s patience began to thin. before he could respond, the sound of heels clicking against the floor interrupted the rising tension.
the man froze, his eyes snapping to the doorway as a figure stepped into view. she moved with an effortless grace, her tailored dress accentuating her poised yet commanding aura.
her black heels clicked softly against the floor, each step deliberate.
yn offered a polite, almost innocent smile as she glanced between yunho, mingi, and the trembling businessman. her voice was calm, her tone soothing as she asked, "what seems to be the problem here?"
"mind your own business, bitch," the man snapped without hesitation, his tone dripping with condescension. "this has nothing to do with you."
yunho and mingi moved instantly, their guns drawn and aimed squarely at the man's head.
"say another word," yunho warned, his voice low and dangerous, "unless you want me and my buddy to put a bullet through your skull."
the man's face went pale, his words caught in his throat as he raised his trembling hands in surrender.
"relax, boys," yn said softly, holding up a hand to calm them.
her smile didn't falter as she stepped closer, her eyes glinting with amusement. "let him speak."
both men hesitated but obeyed, lowering their weapons.
the businessman took a shaky breath, glancing nervously at yunho before turning back to yn. "l-look, I don't know who you think you are, but I'm here to speak to the boss, not some-"
"I am the boss," yn interrupted smoothly, her smile widening as she folded her arms across her chest. "and you're standing in my office, asking for my money. so, I suggest you start speaking to me with a little more respect."
the man blinked, his mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water. he glanced at yunho and mingi in disbelief, as if searching for confirmation.
yunho smirked as he got up from the chair, "surprised?" he asked, his tone mocking. "yeah, she's the one you owe millions to. and she's the one deciding whether you walk out of here alive."
yn chuckled softly, the sound sending a shiver down the man's spine. "go ahead," she said, gesturing for him to continue. "explain yourself. i’m all ears."
for the next few minutes, the man stumbled through his excuses, his voice cracking as he begged for another chance.
he swore up and down that he'd change, that he'd repay every penny, that he just needed one last loan to set things right.
yn listened patiently, her expression unreadable as she tapped her fingers against her hip. when he finally fell silent, she let out a soft sigh.
"you’re quite the gambler, aren't you?" she said, her tone almost conversational. "you gamble with money, with promises, with lives. and yet, you expect me to believe you'll change?"
"I-I will," the man stammered. "I swear it! please, just-"
yn held up a hand, silencing him. her voice grew colder, her smile fading. "you’ve disrespected me, insulted me, and stolen from me. and now, you stand here begging for mercy as if someone else will pay the price instead of you."
the man's knees buckled, tears streaming down his face as he fell to the ground. "please, have mercy. I have 2 children…! I'll do anything-just please don't kill me!”
yn glanced at yunho and mingi, who were waiting for her signal.
she tilted her head thoughtfully before finally speaking.
"mercy," she mused, her voice soft yet icy. "I believe in setting examples. and today, you'll serve as one."
with a slight nod, she gave the signal.
the man barely had time to scream before the room was filled with the deafening sound of gunfire.
the echoes of gunfire in the room had barely dissipated before yn let out a sigh and sat in her chair, leaning back. her perfectly manicured nails drummed against the dark oak desk, her expression neutral as though this was just another routine occurrence. and for her, it was.
“honestly,” yn muttered, rubbing her temples with her fingers. “the audacity of some people never ceases to amaze me.”
mingi gave her a small chuckle, already used to her composed demeanor. he slid his gun back into its holster and looked over at yunho, who remained silent, a small smirk tugging at the corners of his lips. yunho’s eyes sparkled with amusement despite the grim scene that had just unfolded.
yn glanced over at mingi. “go take a break, minks. also, order us some dinner, will you? something hearty. I feel like I haven’t eaten in days.”
mingi nodded. “sure. any preferences tonight?”
yn smiled faintly. “you know me, surprise me.” she paused, then added with another sigh, “oh, and make sure someone gets rid of this mess.” she gestured towards the lifeless man slumped on the floor. “I’d rather not have bloodstains ruining my marble.”
“oh it,” mingi replied with a knowing chuckle, already pulling his phone out of his pocket to make arrangements.
once mingi had stepped out, yunho walked behind YN, placing his hands on her shoulders and slowly massaging them. the warmth of his presence immediately shifted the atmosphere. “marble floors really do stain too easily,” yunho said, shaking his head. “you should’ve gone with the darker finish I suggested.”
yn shook her head, an amused smile tugging at her lips. “the darker finish clashed with the drapes. don’t tell me you’re turning into an interior designer now.”
“hey, I have layers,” yunho teased, shrugging.
“you know,” yunho started again, his voice soft but teasing, “you really do have a flair for theatrics.”
yn raised an eyebrow, fighting back a grin. “oh, do I now?”
“absolutely. The way you walked in all elegant and composed, like some kind of goddess descending from the heavens—”
“careful,” yn interrupted, trying to maintain her tough exterior. “flattery will get you nowhere, jeong yunho.”
yunho rested his chin on her head, his lips curving into a mischievous smile. “who said I was trying to get anywhere?”
that finally drew a soft laugh from yn. despite the walls she had built around herself to keep others at a distance, yunho had always been the exception. his charm, humor, and sweetness were things she could never resist.
as her laughter faded, yunho’s expression grew a little more serious. “do you think you were too lenient on him? giving him a chance to explain before… well, you know.”
yn considered his words for a moment. “maybe. but sometimes it’s not about leniency. It’s about setting the right example. If people think they can just insult me and plead their way out of trouble, then we’ll lose the respect we’ve worked so hard to build.”
yunho nodded, understanding. he knew how much the weight of her position demanded of her. she couldn’t afford to show weakness, not to the outside world. but to him? she was different.
“fair point,” yunho said. then, with a playful glint in his eye, he added, “still, I have to admit, it was kind of funny seeing his face when you told him you were the boss. priceless.”
yn shook her head, a small smile tugging at her lips. “you’re impossible, you know that?”
“and yet, you still keep me around,” yunho laughed, his grin widening. “oh and don’t forget we’re married.”
before she could respond, the door opened again, and mingi reentered, wiping his hands on a cloth. “mess is taken care of,” he announced, plopping down into the couch in the office. “and dinner should be here in twenty. I went with chinese—felt like a dumpling kind of night.”
“oh, and I got extra dumplings for yunho because he whines when there aren’t enough.”
yunho gasped in mock offense. “excuse me, I do not whine. I simply express my disappointment like a mature adult.”
mingi snorted. “yeah, sure. mature adults totally pout and complain like five-year-olds.”
yn watched the two men banter, another smile spreading across her face. this was her sanctuary, the rare moments where she could let her guard down and just exist without the constant pressure of running an empire. yunho and mingi had been her constants in a world full of shifting alliances and betrayals, and she trusted them with her life. with mingi and yunho, she didn’t have to constantly be feared. she could simply be yn.
“hey,” mingi said, turning to her. “you ever think about taking a vacation? like, a real one? no meetings, no deals, no scary stares—just some time to breathe.”
yn snorted. “and leave you two in charge? the empire would collapse in a week.”
“hey , that’s unfair,” yunho protested, feigning offense. “I’d give it at least two weeks.”
mingi chuckled, shaking his head. “no, but seriously. you’ve been running this thing for years without a break. even bosses need time off.”
yn sighed, her fingers tapping against the desk. the idea of a vacation was tempting, but she knew it wasn’t that simple. her family’s legacy, the countless lives that depended on her decisions—she couldn’t just walk away from that.
“I’ll think about it,” she said finally, though they all knew she probably wouldn’t.
yunho reached out and gently took her hand, his touch grounding her. he came in front of her, just slightly off the side to her chair. “you know we’ve got your back, right? always.”
she looked at him, her tough exterior cracking just a little. “I know,” she said softly.
the sound of a knock interrupted their moment. one of the lower-ranking members stepped into the room, nervously avoiding eye contact with yn.
“dinner’s here,” he announced quickly before scurrying away.
“everyone in?” ary’s voice broke through the discord server, her excitement barely contained.
“everyone’s here except for yn.” timothy called out.
“what in the world is she doing?”
“i think she’s eating?”
“well tell her big back ass to hurry it up!”
di-ding!
“I heard that mothafucka.” yn joined with her camera on as her eyes were only seen. she scared everyone as soon as she joined.
“why is potato aim here ..” she called out as soon as she saw the name, the dreadful name she wishes she couldn’t see.
pinkminks
“i’m playing too duhhh.”
she looked at the camera up and down, pretending to bite her fist and then stopping. “oh you saw that? my bad I thought my camera was off.”
_
“it’s been thirty minutes where the hell is my jong at?” yn called out again, pausing her minecraft to look at her discord.
dawg2reall: yeah where’s pookie booty at
“POOKIE BOOTY??” keeho said looking at his own stream chat and back at his discord.
“we don’t play about jong around here, he gets all the cute nicknames.”
“WHAT ABOUT ME?” all the girls yelled in unison.
“damn what was that harmony in blues? .. don’t worry I bet she has nicknames for y’all too.”
“tim , we’re gonna build a castle. I don’t care what anyone says,” keeho said, already planning his empire.
“a castle? we’ve been in here for thirty minutes and we haven’t even found food yet, dude.” timothy replied, but he was clearly all-in for keeho’s wild idea.
doeun had been busying herself with gathering flowers, announcing that she was going to create a beautiful garden. ary, on the other hand, had one goal: diamonds.
“mining is life,” ary muttered under her breath as she began digging straight down, ignoring everyone’s warnings about minecraft’s number one rule.
surpringly soul and bibi had teamed up, and the two were focused on building a cozy little house near the water. lily, meanwhile, was exploring a nearby cave, determined to find enough resources to make everyone weapons and armor.
“lily’s going to be our mvp,” bibi joked, watching lily fearlessly descend into the cave system.
“she’s about to go crazy finding them resources- ain’t that right lily?!”
“YEP!”
“and uh… what about you potato aim?” yn asked as she gathered materials nearby.
“i’m building a house right by the river! i’m gonna raise a pet here. I found a duck, and i’m calling him ducky.”
a wave of laughter erupted in the chat.
“a duck? you’re raising a pet duck in minecraft?” yn wheezed.
mingi defended his decision. “hey- he’s going to be the best duck ever.”
_
mingi’s house was a small but sturdy wooden structure with a fenced-in area where ducky waddled around happily. yn’s base was far more elaborate, and she had enlisted art’s help to mine resources, which she decided to house the rest of the group that hadn’t already been building shelter.
"yn, I don't trust you," mingi declared out of the blue while tending to his duck.
“what? I haven’t done anything yet,” yn replied, a grin creeping onto her face.
“you’re plotting something, I can feel it. you’ve been walking near my house and walking away for 15 minutes now..”
“you must be seeing things.”
meanwhile, chaos erupted on tim and keeho’s side of the map as they bickered over how tall the castle walls should be. keeho wanted it to be grand and towering, while tim just wanted something functional.
“we don’t even have enough stone for this!” tim groaned.
“we can always mine more. get with the program!” keeho shot back.
“ladies, ladies you’re both pretty! now hush it up!” bibi yelled, laughing.
soul and bibi had fallen into a relaxed rhythm, their house now the coziest on the server, complete with flower beds courtesy of doeun.
“eunnie!!! these flowers are so pretty!!”
“THANK YOUUU!”
lily was still deep underground, occasionally muttering about creepers and lava pits. “ary come down here with me and bring a torch.. I forgot some..”
“how the heck did you get down there then?”
“I let the wind guide me!!!!”
“WHAT TYPE OF STUPID SHIT IS THAT??”
_
“uh, hold on, guys. my food just got here.” mingi said.
“what type of food?” soul asked immediately.
“jack in the box!!!”
everyone paused for a second.
“wait, what?” ary laughed.
“his stomach is gonna do backflips, oh lawddd,” yn muttered dramatically.
“that’s an earthquake waiting to happen,” keeho chimed in, barely able to contain his laughter.
the others erupted into laughter as mingi’s character went idle, just standing there with his pet duck next to him.
“I don’t care what anybody says- im about to fuck this shit up!!!” mingi said, his chair creaking as he got up.
“you better hope nothing happens to your house while you're gone,” yn teased.
“you better not yn.” tim spoke up.
“I DIDNT SAY NOTHING??”
shehexedme_: I know you’re about to do smth stupid mother 😭
“am not.”
a few minutes passed, and mingi finally returned, his voice muffled as he was clearly stuffing his face with food.
“okay, I’m back,” he announced.
“is it good mingi??”
“BRO YES. don’t come for me doeun im just trying to enjoy my foo- OH MY GOD.”
“what?” everyone asked.
“MY HOUSE WHAT THE FLIP?!” mingi asked, panic already rising.
“YO MINGI’S HOUSE IS GONE..”
…
“YN!!!!”
“WHAT THE FUCK DID I DO?! IM WITH SOUL AND BIBI!!”
mingi’s screen read “you died! / pinkminks was blown up by emperorsluv”. he quickly clicked respawn and his face dropped. his entire house had been blown to smithereens. all that was left were a few scattered blocks, the fence barely holding together. and worst of all, ducky was gone.
“no… no, no, no, no, no!” mingi cried, his character running frantically around the remnants of his house.
“where’s ducky?!” His voice cracked dramatically. “he was my only friend!”
“WHAT ABOUT ME??”
“NOT NOW EUN!!”
“i’m so sorry, pinky,” she whispered, holding back laughter.
“WHY ME?!” mingi demanded, spinning his character around in circles.
yn, cool and collected, simply said, “I don’t know… maybe it was karma.”
“karma for what?” Mingi was practically sobbing into his mic.
“you made us lose that valorant match!!” YN’s grin was audible through her voice. “I told you I’d get you back.”
there was a brief pause before mingi’s gasp, thick with betrayal, echoed through the server.
“YOU BLEW UP MY HOUSE BECAUSE OF A MATCH WE PLAYED A WEEK AGO? WHAT- DUCKY IS GONE BECAUSE OF YOU!!”
the sheer drama in his tone sent everyone into fits of laughter once again.
ary, who had helped yn with the sabotage, chimed in. “in yn’s defense, it was very funny.”
“i can’t believe you two did this to me,” mingi groaned. “my duck… my house… I was just trying to enjoy my jack in the box…”
“lesson learned,” yn teased. “don’t mess with me in valorant, and don’t leave your house unattended in minecraft.”
“you’re absolutely savage for that..” tim said.
soul kept giggling like he couldn’t breathe and the rest of them had already died of laughter.
mingi’s avatar sat down on a nearby block, defeated.
“i can’t believe this…” he said dramatically.
“i’ll help you rebuild mingi, don’t worry.” bibi offered sweetly, while the others continued laughing in the background.
mingi, after hours of moping and pleading, has convinced the entire group to rebuild his house. the new structure was much bigger and sturdier, and with doeun’s finishing touches, it even had a garden.
“alright, mingi.. you’re house is done be grateful.” yn said as she helped put some carpets in the house.
“this won’t bring back ducky…” mingi muttered, still not fully over his loss.
soul chimed in. “if you want another duck, I found an egg earlier. maybe you can raise another ducky.”
“y’all I want a ducky too don’t play..”
“we’ll get you a duck too lily..”
mingi sighed dramatically as everyone stood around mingi’s new house, admiring the work they had done.
just as they were about to call it a day, a creeper appeared out of nowhere, hissing ominously right next to mingi’s new house.
“mingi I think you might wanna move???” tim shouted, but it was too late.
the explosion rocked the server once again, and mingi’s new house was reduced to rubble. everyone was silent for a beat before erupting into hysterical laughter.
mingi, however, was inconsolable.
“WHAT THE HELL?! THIS IS A CONSPIRACY!!!” he wailed dramatically. “WHY IS THIS ONLY HAPPENING TO ME.”

the warm sunlight streamed through the open window, casting a soft glow on the hardwood floor. yn stretched, her muscles groaning in protest as she moved toward the kitchen for her morning routine. she poured herself a cup of coffee, yawning as the rich aroma filled the room. outside, birds chirped, signaling the start of another peaceful day. but despite the idyllic scene, a sense of unease had been gnawing at her for days. it wasn’t anything major, nothing dramatic or obvious. It was subtle. It had to do with her dog.
ever since yeosang, her beloved doberman, had come into her life, he had been the perfect companion. loyal, obedient, and smart—sometimes a little too smart. they had formed an unbreakable bond over the years, sharing countless memories. but recently, something about yeosang had changed. It was hard to pinpoint exactly what was wrong, but yn couldn’t shake the feeling that he was…different.
the first sign came about a week ago.
it was late one night, and yn was curled up on the couch, her eyes barely open as the glow of the TV flickered in front of her. a soft thud caught her attention, and she looked over at yeosang, who was standing by the living room door, staring at her. his eyes seemed unusually intense, like he was watching her with a level of focus that she had never seen before. there was a strange intelligence in his gaze, a sense that he was not just looking at her but thinking about her in a way that unsettled her.
“yeosang?” she called softly, trying to shake off the feeling. he tilted his head, the way he always did when he was trying to understand her, but this time it felt different. calculated.
yn shrugged it off that night, telling herself she was just tired. but the next day, things grew even stranger.
yeosang began following her around the house, as if monitoring her every move. he never used to be so clingy, preferring to lounge by the window or chase after squirrels in the yard. but now, he was constantly at her side. When she worked at her desk, he sat nearby, eyes never leaving her. when she cooked, he stood in the doorway, watching. when she slept, she woke up to find him sitting at the edge of her bed, staring. always staring.
it wasn’t just his behavior that was changing. his mannerisms were becoming eerily human.
it started small. yn caught him trying to open doors with his paw, twisting the handle in a way that almost resembled a hand. she would hear strange noises at night, as if someone was moving around in the house, only to find yeosang in the kitchen, sitting still in the dark, looking at her with that same intense expression. once, she could’ve sworn she heard him clear his throat, as if preparing to speak.
and then, the dreams began.
in them, yn would see yeosang, but he wasn’t a dog. he was…something else. a shadowy figure with human-like features but the same piercing eyes. he would stand at the foot of her bed, watching her as she slept, sometimes whispering words she couldn’t quite understand. each time she woke up, her heart would race, her skin covered in a cold sweat. and each time, she would find yeosang right there, looking at her like he knew something she didn’t.
today was no different.
as yn took a sip of her coffee, she felt a presence behind her. she turned to see yeosang standing in the doorway, his eyes locked onto hers. there was something about the way he was standing—his posture too straight, his gaze too intense. she set her coffee cup down, her heart beating faster than it should.
“yeosang?” she called softly, feeling ridiculous for talking to him like this, but unable to shake the growing unease.
he didn’t move, didn’t even blink.
“come here, boy,” she said, trying to sound cheerful.
yeosang walked toward her, but it wasn’t the usual bounding, eager trot she was used to. it was slower, more deliberate, like he was choosing every step carefully. he stopped in front of her, sitting down with that unnerving precision.
“are you hungry?” yn asked, trying to keep her voice steady.
yeosang tilted his head, the familiar gesture somehow making her feel even more on edge. she stood up and walked to the pantry to grab his food, her hands shaking slightly. she poured the kibble into his bowl, but when she turned around, yeosang wasn’t looking at the food. he was still watching her.
she set the bowl down, but yeosang didn’t move toward it. instead, he just stared at her. his eyes, once filled with warmth and loyalty, now seemed to be filled with something else—something cold and calculating.
“you’re acting weird, boy,” yn muttered, trying to shake off the unease. she walked past him, trying to pretend everything was normal, but she couldn’t ignore the chill that ran down her spine.
as the days passed, the strange occurrences escalated.
yn started noticing things out of place. the remote control would be moved from its usual spot on the coffee table, her laptop would be open when she was sure she had closed it, and once, she found her phone in the kitchen when she hadn’t even gone in there that morning. it was small, subtle things, but it was enough to make her question her own sanity.
the final straw came one evening when yn was sitting on the couch, scrolling through her phone. she glanced up and froze. yeosang was sitting on the other side of the room, but his posture—his posture was all wrong. he was sitting like a person. his back was straight, his paws resting on the armrest of the couch, and his head was turned slightly, watching her with that same unnerving intensity.
“yeosang?” she whispered, her voice trembling.
and then, he did something that made her blood run cold. he blinked. but it wasn’t the slow, casual blink of a dog. it was a deliberate, human-like blink, as if he was trying to communicate something.
yn’s heart raced, and she shot up from the couch, backing away from him slowly.
“okay, this is getting too weird,” she muttered to herself, her breath coming in short, panicked gasps. she grabbed her phone and rushed to her bedroom, slamming the door shut behind her.
as she sat on the edge of her bed, her hands trembling, she tried to make sense of everything. it was just her imagination, right? she was overthinking things. dogs didn’t act like humans. dogs didn’t…watch you like they were planning something.
but no matter how much she tried to convince herself otherwise, she couldn’t ignore the growing sense of dread that had been building inside her for days.
there was a soft scratching at her door, and yn’s heart leapt into her throat. she stood frozen, staring at the door as the scratching continued, soft but insistent.
“yeosang?” she called, her voice barely a whisper.
the scratching stopped.
for a moment, there was nothing but silence. then, she heard it—a low, quiet murmur. it was faint, barely audible, but it was unmistakable. it was a voice. a human voice.
yn’s blood turned to ice.
she backed away from the door, her heart pounding in her chest. this couldn’t be real. she was imagining things. she had to be.
but then she heard it again.
“let me in.”
yn’s breath caught in her throat. the voice was soft, almost gentle, but there was something sinister lurking beneath the calm tone.
“let me in, yn,” the voice said again, this time louder, more insistent.
her mind raced. this wasn’t happening. this couldn’t be happening. dogs didn’t talk. yeosang couldn’t talk.
but the voice was real. It was right outside her door.
she grabbed her phone, her hands shaking as she dialed her best friend’s number. the phone rang once, twice, before going to voicemail. panic surged through her, and she dialed again, but the same thing happened.
the voice outside her door grew louder, more demanding.
“yn, let me in.”
she pressed her back against the far wall, her breath coming in ragged gasps. this wasn’t real. this couldn’t be real. it was all in her head.
but then the door handle jiggled.
her eyes widened in terror as the handle turned slowly. she held her breath, waiting for the door to swing open, but it didn’t. the handle stopped turning, and everything went silent again.
minutes passed in agonizing stillness.
and then, the voice came again, quieter this time, almost pleading.
“please, yn. let me in.”
she didn’t move, didn’t dare make a sound.
the scratching resumed, soft and gentle, like it was trying to coax her into opening the door. but yn knew better. she wasn’t going to fall for it.
hours seemed to pass as she sat there, paralyzed with fear. eventually, the scratching stopped, and the house fell into an eerie silence. she could hear her own heartbeat in her ears, the only sound in the otherwise quiet room.
when morning came, yn finally worked up the courage to open the door. the hallway was empty, and there was no sign of yeosang. she cautiously made her way through the house, searching every room, but he was nowhere to be found.
it wasn’t until she went outside that she saw him.
yeosang was sitting in the backyard, staring at her through the window. His posture was still unnervingly human, and his eyes…those eyes were filled with an intelligence that no dog should have.
yn backed away from the window, her heart racing. something was seriously wrong with her dog—if he was even a dog at all.
she knew she had to do something. she couldn’t live like this anymore, constantly feeling watched, followed, haunted by whatever yeosang had become.
but as she reached for her phone to call someone—anyone for help—she heard a voice behind her.
