✎… when you become involved with a group of boys from your college of music, you can’t help but catch feelings and watch as they grow into a talented group of performers ♡
You turned to Han excitedly, but as you were about to talk he offered you an amused look, turning you back around to see Chan walking your way.
"Hi, I'm Chris, I didn't realise you were a friend of Hannie's. Are you sure you're ok with being my partner? I'm sure I could talk to the teacher if you weren't ok with it since obviously we don't really know each oth-"
"No, no, it's ok!" You laughed at his rambling, "It's absolutely fine with me." You told Chan your name and turned to Han, "Han offered to introduce me to you and Changbin this lunch since you were already meeting up? Obviously, we've met now but we could talk about song choices for the assignment seeing as we missed a lesson? If you and Changbin would be ok with me tagging along?"
"Yeah, that sounds great! I'll let him know in our next class since he's in a different dance class." Chan explained. Your teacher began to talk and so Chris walked to a place in the corner with Lee Know, "Nice meeting you!"
"You too!" You replied as you also began to move to a space and warm up.
"Well, you and Chan-hyung seem to be getting on well already." Hyunjin commented, walking towards you and Han.
"Chan-hyung rambled too. He only does that when he's super nervous." Han revealed, a knowing look on his face. Hyunjin dramatically placed his hand over his mouth, making an exaggerated gasp.
"You two just shut it, class is starting." You rolled your eyes.
"Today we're going to be choreographing our own piece as a class. Each of you will take a short twenty-second portion of the song and choreograph something to it." Your instructor began to inform you, "You may come up with ideas in groups. However each section must be entirely unique. Then, we'll learn and rehearse the entire thing. The number I give you correlates to the section you are assigned to so please pay attention."
As your teacher began to call out names and numbers, you noticed Chris look at you as you gazed around the room. As he noticed that you caught him staring, he quickly turned his attention away to something else, causing you to chuckle.
"Stop staring at Chris for one second. I can't choreograph for my life. This is my worst nightmare." Han sulked.
"Hyunjin unintentionally makes choreo whilst cooking; take some of the ideas he's not using or something." You shrugged, trying to assist.
"Or.. go work with Minho-hyung. He's one of the best dancers here." Hyunjin suggested, mischievous smirk on his face, "Or do you not have the courage?"
"I have the courage to ask Lee Know to work with me!" Han said, cockiness taking charge.
"Do you, now?" A voice smirked from behind Jisung.
"Hyung." Han sighed, embarrassed, turning around to greet his crush, "Will you?"
"Work with you? Well, more like let you copy my ideas? Yeah, sure, I don't really care." Lee Know shrugged, "Hi, Hyunjin, by the way. And also hi person who's name I unfortunately don't know." Lee know half-smirked in your direction, offering a hand to shake, "I'm Minho, or Lee Know, whichever you like."
You took his hand with a smile, shaking it and telling him your name,"Nice to meet you, Jisung doesn't shut up about you."
"Oh really?" He quirked an eyebrow with a smirk, looking towards Han who only had an embarrassed expression in return.
As Lee Know began to work on his section of the song, Han gently hit you on the arm, "Bro, really?! I thought you were loyal."
"Well if it gets you head later, you'll thank me." You simply replied, starting to stretch.
Han was about to utter a comeback but the redness of his cheeks only deepened the more he thought about your statement.
"No nasty thoughts in dance class, please. I'm begging you." Hyunjin sighed into his hands.
"I'm not-" Han tried to defend.
"Yes, you are, Jisung. Don't even." You chuckled, brainstorming ideas in your head for your part of the song. For some reason, you once again felt eyes on your body as you drafted the moves. Taking a quick look around the room, you noticed Chris’ eyes once again planted on your body and every move it made.
Your shyly looked away from him after the brief eye-contact, confused and embarrassed as to why Chan was so obsessed with what you were doing.
"If you embarrass me in front of my hyungs, I'm not cooking for you for the next two weeks." Han stated as you walked to the studio at lunch.
"You know that's a win-win situation for me, right? Your cooking is terrible." You laughed at the younger boy.
"Hey! My cooking's not that bad." Jisung tried to defend. It was silent for a short while before he spoke again, "Ok, maybe you're right."
“Exactly.” You finished as the door to the studio opened, revealing a brick wall of a man sat at the recording booth, messing with the buttons and writing a few notes on his pad, so focused he didn’t even notice the door open. Then, as you walked inside, you saw Chris, powerfully spitting out lyrics, eyes closed to focus.
Oh, you don’t think you could cope in this testosterone bucket for a whole hour with Mr. Christopher Bang and who you hoped was Seo ‘never skip the gym’ Changbin.
“Hey, Jisung. I see you brought some eye-candy for us whilst we work.
“Woah, Changbin. Chill out. Keep it in your pants. This is my best friend.” Han retorted, suddenly protective of you in the presence of his very dominating friend.
“Nice to meet you.” Changbin cutely bowed in his chair as Chan finished his verse.
He called out your name excitedly, “You made it! Nice to see you again.”
“Oh, so I don’t exist anymore. Is that it?” Jisung pouted like a four-year-old.
“Sorry, Hannie.” Chris chuckled, placing the headphones down, “I’m gonna take ten, that last one almost broke my throat.”
“I have some water if you want.” You offered out a bottle to him.
“No, no. It’s ok, don’t worr-”
Before Chan could come up with another way of declining, you forced the bottle into his hands, “You need it. Just take it. I don’t care.”
Changbin silently watched the encounter, laughing at the small tension between you and Chris. He took a glance at Han to ask why you were practically eye-fucking each other during the exchange but only saw Jisung roll his eyes, whispering to Changbin, “They’ve been doing it for the past hour.”
You took a seat on the sofa behind the table of switches and buttons. Chan took a seat in front of you, on one of the swivel seats at the desk. However, his seat was turned to you, not the recording booth.
Han made his way into the booth after dumping his things near the door, “What verse am I on? I remember I didn’t quite get the one last time down.”
“Verse 4.” Changbin replied, looking at the computer full of sound clips and his notepad of lyrics.
“K. You all set up?” Jisung asked, headphones now on his head as he warmed up his voice.
“Yep, whenever you’re ready.”
A thumbs up came from Hannie before the track began to play into his headphones, lyrics flowing from his mouth following the music. Your eyes widened at Han’s talent and skill. You knew he was great- because he never shut up singing and rapping at the flat- but never have you heard him with such power and strength.
“Our Hannie’s good, isn’t he?” Chan quietly asked, laughing at your reaction.
You simply nodded, a feeling for Sungie you’d never experienced before coming to the front of your mind. Oh, dear god. You were in deep-shit.
Possible sexual attraction to your best friend and flatmate? What could be fucking worse?
“Want to try going in the sound booth? Han said your singing’s amazing but you’ve never had a professional recording.” Changbin offered, turning to you in his seat with a quirked brow and smirk planted on his face.
Oh, so it could be fucking worse after all.
