A/N: @neo0queen0serenity0 Saw your request on google form and decided to do one with stray kids. The reason why I started doing the crossover WAS because I didn't see a lot of it.

Childhood Friends and Dreams

Before the world tours, the flashing cameras, and the thousands of screaming fans chanting her name, Y/N’s world had been small.

Just her street in Melbourne,

her school, and

her best friend, Oscar Piastri.

They spent their afternoons:

Racing scooters down the driveway,

Drawing racetracks in chalk on the sidewalk,

Dreaming out loud about their futures.

“One day,” Oscar said when they were nine, squinting against the sun, “I’m gonna drive in Formula 1.” “And I’m gonna be a singer!” Y/N grinned.

He laughed.

“Then I’ll watch you from my car.” “And I’ll watch you from my stage.”

Neither of them knew that both dreams would come true.

The Day She Left

Y/N never got to tell Oscar goodbye.

She had auditioned for JYP Entertainment as a joke when she visited family in Sydney for a K-pop festival.

She passed the first round.

Then the second.

Then she got the call that would change her life.

By the time her family agreed she could move to South Korea for training, everything happened fast.

“I’ll tell him when I can,” she thought. But training consumed her life, and one day turned into weeks, then months.

She followed Oscar’s journey quietly from afar—from Formula 3 to Formula 2, and finally to F1 with McLaren.

He did it, she thought proudly every time she saw his name on the leaderboard.

2025 – Back in Australia

By 2025, Y/N was no longer just a trainee—she was the ninth member of Stray Kids, the Aussie maknae with a bright smile and sharp dance skills.

Their world tour led them back to Australia, and their team arranged for them to perform a special stage in Melbourne the night before the Grand Prix.

The arena was packed. Fans waved banners and screamed lightstick chants as the opening VCR played, and then the music hit.

The Performance – “Maniac” & “God’s Menu”

Backstage, Y/N could hear the roar of the crowd. Her heart raced—not from nerves, but from pure excitement. This was her home.

The green lights for “Maniac” flashed across the arena.

He grinned.

“And I watched every music video. I can’t believe my best friend is… well, you.”

Paddock Sunshine

The next day, Oscar invited her to the paddock at Albert Park.

Mechanics and drivers alike did double-takes as she strolled in wearing McLaren papaya.

Fans outside the garage screamed, holding up signs with her name and Stray Kids’ logo.

Lando Norris spotted her first.

“Wait, wait, Oscar—you didn’t tell me your childhood best friend is a K-pop idol?!”

Charles Leclerc waved shyly.

“Are we… allowed to ask for a photo later?”

Even Daniel Ricciardo, visiting as reserve, teased:

“Mate, your best friend is cooler than all of us combined.”

Watching Him Live His Dream

From the McLaren garage, Y/N watched Oscar’s car roll out for FP1.

The roar of the engine.

The blur of papaya orange.

The little kid from her street, now flying on a global stage just like her.

“He did it,” she whispered to herself.

When the session ended, Oscar ran back into the garage, helmet still in hand, and gave her a thumbs-up through the visor.

They didn’t need words—two kids with big dreams had finally made it, side by side again.

Post-Race Reflections

After the race weekend, they found a quiet spot by the track under the setting sun.

“We really did it, huh?” Oscar said softly. “We did,” Y/N smiled. “Different stages, same dream.”

She leaned her head on his shoulder, just like old times. And for the first time in years, home didn’t feel so far away.
