SSKKBB26 Schedule

SSKKBB26 Part 1

Sign-ups will last until Feb 22nd. Writer Summaries are due March 7th. Artist claims are March 8th thru 21st, with matches announced by March 22nd. There will be two major check-ins, one at the half-way point (April 25th thru May 2nd) and one just before the posting date (May 31st). If you have any trouble communicating with your partner, you need to let the mods know as soon as possible! Posting will begin the week of June 15th, 2026.

Sign-ups will last until July 5th. Writer Summaries or Artist Sketches are due July 18th. Claims are July 19th thru August 1st, with matches announced by August 2nd. There will be two major check-ins, one at the half-way point (September 12th thru 19th) and one just before the posting date (October 25th). If you have any trouble communicating with your partner, you need to let the mods know as soon as possible! Posting will begin the week of November 9th, 2026.

I noticed that you have mentioned a second big bang happening this year, is that a confirmed thing? if so, when will the sign ups for it be? im a little busy with projects this spring but id love to do a fall event

2026 Part 2 sign-ups will be at the end of June to the beginning of July. Hopefully this schedule lets you join!

Hello! I've a few questions about the upcoming sskkbb. Will both of them be the same? Same wordcount and same traditional bb? What is the reason for running two same events in the year when there are always more writers than artists?

Hi anon! Thank you checking out this event.

As of right now, the structure of Part Two (July thru Nov) will be decided by poll in the server with the same minimum requirements as Part One (>2.5k words, flat colors minimum). Based on historical interest checks, I'll say it's very likely that Part Two will also be a writer-driven traditional bang.

The main reason for offering to run two parts of the SSKKBB26 was based on a lot of feedback we've received over the years. Many interested writers and artists have expressed that our usual May to September timeline did not match with their schedules. By offering two parts, we hope to include even more people.
