reblog if you love ao3 exactly how it is and you don’t want it to “update” or change in any way♡
ao3 is not changing anything by the way! some people just want them to change for some reason. my guess is that these people just don't understand how the site works and refuse to actually learn how it works, so they blame the site because it's easier for them that way.
Saying I love you without saying “I love you”
“Being around you makes every day just a little lighter.”
[fondly] “You're such an idiot.”
“Got you, always.”
“I can imagine growing old with you.”
“I could sit here and listen to you forever.”
“Let me take care of you.”
“Nothing makes me happier than being with you.”
“Of course I trust you.”
“Seeing you happy makes me happy.”
“Something about you makes me feel safe.”
“Stay for a bit?”
“Stop making me smile, dork.”
“Why didn't you tell me you were cold? Come here.”
“You mean everything to me.”
“You were in my dreams tonight.”
“You're my favorite person, just… ever.”

Light of dawn
A strong splash of water that Silver's sleepy face needed to start his day. He wondered if he will be able to stay awake to what's expected today. It's much wiser for him not to think about what's not in his power but he did.
Walking out of bathroom to his bedroom. He moved his to take the towel from his bed desk. He heard a metal sound followed by a gentle cascading of a necklace.
Silver figured it's the ring that belonged to his biological father and immediately squatted to pick it up. The aurora diamond shined as if it was brand new. Not an ancient artifact from a dead history. His aurora eyes kept staring as he was deep in thought, thinking about his biological father that he saw.
Closing his eyes. He recalled another memory when Sebek rescued him from his emotional overblot, how that ring shone so bright and he saw his biological father. He still remembers when he stared at him and before he could talk to him his image dispersed. For some reason this image left an impression on him, and he can't fathom why it's not leaving his mind.
Silver determined, he quickly stood and let his legs take him to a familiar place. And he knocked on the door gently.
"Enter." A voice sounded.
Silver entered very politely "My apologizes, Father. I have a favor I want to ask of you, if sleep isn't lingering in your eyes."
Lilia let out a giggle "Why the face? Even if I'm a little sleepy it's okay. Come here, Silver." He patted the area next to him.
Silver's eyes softened at such invitation. And he complied happily. Sitting next to Lilia on his bed. "Father, I..."
"What is it Silver? Are you having a cold? Do you feel like something is hurting you?" Worried, he placed a hand on Silver's forehead.
Silver blinked and shook his head. "No, I'm okay, Father. I just want you to see if this ring holds more memories than it was presented."
Lilia pulled his hand and stared at Silver. "Ring?" He echoed. "Ah! You mean this ring." His eyes finally landing on it. "Can I ask what made you ask me such favor?"
Silver looked at Lilia, he was unsure of what must be said, his heart felt a clutch. Uncertainty. Unfamiliar feeling of longing to a face he never frequented or even touched. What is the driving force in his current feeling? He didn't know.
"I want to know more about my connection to the Dawn Knight. I know it doesn't make sense but-"
"It does make perfect sense, Silver." Lilia corrected immediately "It's normal to feel this about your biological parents." A gentle smile tugged on his lips. "If I knew who my real parents were I would probably feel the same."
His words landed on Silver's troubled heart like a fallen leaf landing softly on water surface. The ripples made a sound causing his heart to slowly open up. "The truth is...when I was at my worst and Sebek knocked me out of it. I saw him, He was looking at me from far away when this ring shone it's light. I knew that he is the dawn knight." Silver gasped. "Sorry! I almost forgot he was your sworn enemy for a long time, I will st-"
"Continue."
Silver faltered for a little, but a defeat sigh made it's way out of his lips. "The way he looked at me felt..." His eyebrows furrowed intensely. "I don't understand much but...I felt like he was maybe, concerned about me."
Lilia chuckled and patted Silver's silky hair. "Why wouldn't he look at his son like this? Not after he wasn't okay."
Silver's eyes glittered with light and he fought the sting of letting it produce tears. Gripping on the ring felt like a need. An escape. "But...Father, why would he do so in my dream? Why would he concern himself with such when he is...dead."
Lilia didn't reply immediately, his image of the dawn Knight was always one truth. He was a strong, unwavering enemy. But deep down he knew that Dawn Knight had empathy for his son. Though he doesn't know if it was grand or little. It was hard to tell from his face alone.
"If I were in his place, I would."
Instead of thinking of what he doesn't know. He answered with what he currently thinks. "Even I would work in shadows to ensure you don't fall in despair." He added. "I don't know if he had the same motive but...Why don't we why try to look for more memories?"
His hand finally reaching to Silver's. He didn't try take the ring from his hand. Instead, his thumb touched it as the rest of his fingers held the back of Silver's hand. "As fast as the days pass by, take me there in the blink of an eye. Far Cry Cradle."
Silver gasped as the ring shone brightly familiarly once again.
There, Lilia saw the Dawn Knight, he was startled. Running to his wife who just gave birth to their son. He heard Silver's baby crying voice. It was familiar sound. Too familiar. The Dawn Knight checked on his wife though she looked exhausted but she smiled through it then he was handed his son by the maid.
The Dawn Knight gasped. He was afraid that his masculine hands would crush this infant's fragile body. His nervous figure was easy to spot by his wife, she giggled weakly. It didn't help the Dawn Knight at all. He couldn't contain all the happiness he felt in the moment. The warmth of his newborn son, the smile of his beloved wife.
The infant cried loudly so the Dawn Knight began to shake him nervously resulting him to cry even more. After some time he felt secure in those strong arms that held him, He drifted to sleep. Dawn Knight couldn't hold it anymore and leaned to kiss his forehead. It was like an oath, an oath to protect and love this child. To pour his love that he overwhelmingly felt for his person.
Another memory resurfaced. He saw the Dawn Knight and Queen Leah discussing an important matter. Silver was moving his hand to reach for the crib mobile. Lilia saw them hugging tightly.
"What should we do? If this war continues I'm afraid our son has to suffer the consequences! He is only a baby!" Queen Leah said. She was shaking in her husband's embrace.
The Dawn Knight stood there. Unable to find the words to comfort his wife. What can be said in such situation? What can mere words change about an absolute reality?
A sudden idea came to his mind.
"What about we entrust the fairies to guard him in our stead?" He finally spoke. "I don't know what they can do to ensure his safety but I know they are reliable."
"You mean the three guardian fairies?" She asked.
He nodded. "Ever since I knew, they have been following me. But if there's no choice but to face our enemies head on then..." He sighed. "We need to consider this for our son."
Leah cried more as her last will to stay rational shattered. "I don't want this! Please, [h/n]! I don't want our son to be orphaned!" She clinged to his chest, heart throbbing with unbearable pain.
The man before her trembled slightly. His eyes produced tears as she protested. What can a mere orphan like him say to Leah's brother? To their king if he wants this war to end. His arms wrapped around her waist to secure her in place as to assure her.
"Leah, remember when we first me?"
Leah didn't reply as her crying voice filled the air but the Dawn Knight continued. "We were young, your parents took me as their child. An orphan like me was truly blessed. Remember when I swore to protect you all? That's what I intend to do. I will scarifice myself to protect Bladevale."
Lilia listened in, remembering it all over again how stubborn the Dawn Knight was. Launching with all his might, if it weren't Lilia who fought him, he would have killed hundreds of faes for sure.
Another memory rewinding, The Dawn Knight had his armor on to depart for the last battle. His steps were light but his armor didn't help the metalic clinks with each step. Finally reaching his son's bed.
His son was asleep, unaware of the war that's about to start.
The Dawn Knight took off his helmet and sat it aside then carried his son. Instinctively his son reached with his little hand to touch his cheek. As if to greet his father back. The man trembled with agony, tears forming in his eyes.
This could be the last time he sees him. He cried as he pressed his child close to him. Clinging in this moment he never thought he would own. A family. People who cherished him, his devotion to them was sincere. Even if it meant he would scarifice his person for them.
Amidst the tears he leans to kiss his son's forehead again. A Strong prolonged one before he slips a necklace with his royal ring around him.
"Lucien, my child, my son. I love you." He said weakly.
Silver reached with his other hand to capture one his long hair strands. Pulling it playfully as his small mouth produced random sounds.
Seeing that the Dawn Knight fell on his knees, Broke down inside. Crying. An intense thud sounded in the room. As he couldn't do so in front of Leah before. He didn't want to let go of his light. His pride and joy.
Lilia felt for both of them, figured that Silver picked up from his father. His heart was in the right place, but it didn't stop the war. Or the killing of many people in the process, It's been hundreds of years but seeing it again made him relive it again.
Lilia's tears falls on the bed. He didn't expect to cry. Not in front of Silver, it made sense to him why Silver noticed his father's concern about him. Despite being hard to read. Lilia knew that he and Silver are not that far from each other. He quickly wiped his tears. And slowly recounted everything to Silver im detail.
Silver's eyes formed tears as he listened, it made sense to him why his father looked at him in the dream. It made sense why his ring shone under his perplexed demeanor. Each time it unlocked a memory that Silver needed at the moment. Silver gripped the ring close to his chest. Unable to speak. His tears spoke for him. He didn't feel uncertain anymore. But utmost gratitude for his biological father. That he didn't even know his name, Learning that his father was an orphan didn't help with his crying one bit.
Lilia hugged Silver and patted his head as Silver continued to sob. Even though it hurts so much, He found solace in those memories that this ring held. Maybe his father wanted to run away with his mother. But he knew they couldn't, at least it's shown how they both agreed to protect what's most precious to them. Silver.
They risked it, maybe he won't be found by anyone. Maybe he was gonna be under the sleep curse forever. Preventing him of aging, interacting or even breathing. But one thing for sure they believed someone will find him, someone who truly loves him.
Silver lifts his head to look at Lilia, sniffing and wiping his uncontrolled tears. "Father, Thank you for finding me. I can't repay you enough for everything."
Lilia smiled gently "You already did, you just don't know. My dear son, Silver."
Writers's note: I'm sorry I forgot this account for a whole year but I'm back with another fanfiction! I'm a little unpredictable so I'm not sure if I will continue or not, and this fiction was inspired by my delusions of Dawn Knight. Control c Control v Silver for real! If you haven't read book seven yet please don't read this. Hope you enjoyed my simple style of writing.
Mon cœur <3
As much as I love writing Blade being understanding towards reader in his own way, I like to also think about how his relationship with reader has its own bumps.
Like he definitely has his red flags. I like to think that it would be communication. And not communication in the sense that he never talks to reader about he feels etc, but rather his short answers. His hesitation to speak whatever is on his mind 24/7. His fear of losing you or losing whatever you have together.
That unlike you who opens up every single fibre of your heart to him, he keeps a decent amount of his heart closed. That he prefers not to speak about certain problems that torment his daily. That unlike you, he is unable to say romantic things and melt your heart with his words.
He says just enough that you understand the ripples behind the water's surface but never enough that you are fully able to submerge yourself into the turbulent waters of his heart. Like a door that is open enough to peek in but not enough to get the full view.
I'd also like to think that early on in your relationship, it causes issues because you can't tell if you should find a way to work past it or should you break up with him.
But I also like to think that eventually things work out and that he is a man of actions and character rather than words. That he may not conquer your heart with sweet romantic sayings, but rather, he prefers to protect it through how he behaves towards you.
The quiet mysterious man with an unending abyss and his bubbly warm woman with endless love to give.
Perhaps the abyss of his heart will never heal but the warmth and light you cast in it's bottomless darkness enough to give Blade a reason to live.

His lips trembled in silence, bound in a giant chair with cuffed hands, they were connected to long metal chains that were hanging in the air behind his back. His eyes traced the ground. As if he was a caged bird who lost its freedom. Sunday had nothing to share but sadness and melancholy. Stelle stood there staring at his dead looking eyes.
“Why are you here?” He broke the silence, his grip tightened ever so slightly. “Are you here to look down at me? If so, you have the chance. Because I'm going to meet with my deserved fate soon.“
Stelle stepped inside, closer to his form. He wasn't honest with himself even after she answered him before. Her answer was clear as the sun, but maybe he was blinded by it.
A sigh left her lips, What a stubborn man. Did he think she was here to laugh at him? What does he take her for? She pouted and puffed. “Sunday, I'm here for you.”
Bitter laugh echoed in the cell. He didn't even glance at her, but his body radiated defeat. “For me? “ he questioned sarcastically.
She knew she would deal with this, gripping the key she held in her hand as to release the stress. A flashback played in her head, It was Jade giving her the key and smiling confidently. “Yeah, for you. Because people eventually wake up from their slumber. “
Sunday lifted his head to look at her, It was this line again. That line that drew him into her, It was magnificent. His eyes flickered some light before he pursed his lips. “I see, But aren't you missing something, Miss Stelle? I'm not asleep, I'm yet to be punished.” he exhaled.
She arched an eyebrow “I suppose I have nothing to say to this but, I feel like this whole time you were punishing yourself.” Her eyebrows furrowed when she remembered his good intentions but wrong ideals, He was trapped by reality and indulged in fantasy of his own. A world with no pain but no gain, It was not ideal but a life skip. Yet, She knew he was harsh on himself more than anyone. “I'm here to free you from the shackles, from yourself. I want to offer you a new perspective of life.”
“Please, don't continue.” he dismissed it immediately. “My pride doesn't need further shattering, I know where I belong. “
“Are you saying you belong to jail?” she remarked jokingly as she placed her both hands on her waist.
“No, I belong to nowhere.” His answer came out blunt. if one can imagine what his answer would look like. It would be this kid who cries alone in darkness and tries to thrive, he thought that being exposed to darkness made him strong but it was eating him alive.
Stelle sighed and walked even closer to him, she leaned till their faces were close, He felt her breath on his lips and gasped. “If you belong to nowhere then I belong to the trash can.” her smile was cheeky but genuine.
“Trash can?” He looked confused but soon exhaled “Miss Stelle, I'm not joking.”
“I'm not joking either. ” she confirmed.
“W-what?” Sunday looked more puzzled at this confirmation.
Stelle dipped her hand in her pocket, took her phone out and searched in her gallery. Photos of her silly moments with her trash can romance “Here.” she switched the screen for him to see.
Sunday smiled awkwardly and blinked twice “Uhh I see… “
“I’m really sad that I couldn't take a video of these trash cans I saw moving in my dream! Ugh…they even had muscles!!” she pulled the phone back to her and let it sleep in her pocket again. What a weird way to make an impression in jail.
Silence. It was very awkward between the two, Stelle felt awkward to change the topic. And Sunday felt awkward to ask any more questions.
Once again she gripped the key in her other hand but it felt wrong to unlock these shackles without breaking his mental shackles to dust. It wasn't going to be easy but it was worth the shot. “I don't know what happened to you in the past but… everyone deserves second chances you know?”
Sunday sighed and looked away “Yeah, but I don’t think it works on me. I have fought you guys twice, used Sterallon to make you all indulge in endless dreams…If it weren’t for your dedication as a group. You would have…” He didn’t continue, looking at his hand as he shut his eyes.
“You have a point.” Stelle eyed the broken criminal, she knew he needed to let everything out somehow in order to let new views in. “Sometimes, all we need is to have someone who would correct us when we are wrong.”
“You don’t understand!” he gripped his fists.
“Indeed. That’s why I want you to tell me more so I can.” Stelle touched his chin and looked at him firmly in the eyes.
“Y-You…” His eyes snapped open. It took him off guard and he had the face of a small child, his eyes were desperate for tears but he fought them. No he can’t be pathetic more than this, What is this? He is used to caring for others, but when someone cares for him it feels weird and new. Yet he scowled at how he doesn’t deserve it. “Why….Why do you care so much about me? I don’t deserve it! Can’t you see…I should have died! Beheaded! Gone for good…I’m a traitor, I'm a criminal! Why would good people like you want to free someone like me!? Please, leave me alone.” His voice echoed in the cell, Stelle noticed how shrouded and alone Sunday was inside. What can she say now? It’s not easy or can be fixed in one click overnight for him. She knew but part of her refused to let this little lonely charmony dove to be left behind.
“I understand that I can’t do much but listen…” She breathed out softly “Your intention all this time was pure and potent, You wanted to protect everyone right? When you knew you couldn’t make everyone happy…you,” They were already close, she bent a little and hugged him. “Please? Why are you denying your own happiness like that…If you look at it, You stopped eating sweets, you stopped having fun yet you anticipated fun for others, comfort and well being. It’s not fair for you, isn’t it?”
A blush creeped on Sunday’s face. He wasn’t prepared for that, nor he said all of this to earn this. Those were his honest feelings about himself. No, he wasn’t hugged by anyone but his sister. “Miss Stelle…Can you…let go?”
“No.” She tightened her embrace around him.
What a situation. He can’t push her away even if he wanted to. His heart hammered in his chest, like someone playing the piano at a fast pace.
Have I really given up on my own happiness that I became so difficult? Is it okay for me to accept genuine kindness? Jade said my sister asked for this, And now Stelle, Maybe she is right. If that’s Robin’s wish for me I...
Rattling of chains occupied the cell for a brief moment as he reached out to embrace her back. It’s okay, it was always okay but he denied it. Hot tears betrayed his golden eyes, He silently sobbed in her hug. Can he really find his way again? Can he really be forgiven? It didn’t matter to him anymore. He shivered and squeezed her closer, He whimpered as loud as he could. Like he used to before he grew up, Before he forced himself to grow up.
Stelle smiled as she softly ran her fingers in his hair. Now, she can surely unlock those chains after he cries. At least he would look cute. Would he pout or look away? All seemed wholesome and adorable to Stelle, but as for now he needs his moment.
He is free now, he doesn’t need to hold meetings, Investigate, or even think about others’ lives anymore. His life ahead of him is now his and his only. He can spread his wings and fly, wherever it will take him, He shall be okay.
