I hope that this new year is better than the last. That even through hardships, you grow stronger. It might be hard but it is not impossible. Know that you are an important person. That your thoughts and your opinions matter. That you deserve happiness. Even with your faults and flaws. Those things only make you an individual. You’ll make mistakes, you’ll screw up, but as long as you learn from your experiences, you’ll become a better person. Don’t try to change yourself to fit other’s expectations. Make your own expectations of yourself and grow into a stronger person. Because nothing in life is concrete and no one can blame you for trying. Don’t let darkness, angry, jealousy or hate consume you.
I know that, like the other previous years, that you will go through hardships this year. And like the previous years, you can overcome them, regardless of how long it takes. If you need help, don’t be afraid to grab on to those who are willing to help you. Because from your birth to this point in life to your grave, the only person who has been with you this entire time, by your side, is you. So be true to yourself. Do what makes you happy. Make yourself a priority. And try your hardest, because in the end: the only one who can truly help you, is you.
