Judging from the context of the chapter…

We know that it’s September 2nd. I’d put it between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM. (They have breakfast and then a free period. They have Snape’s class before their break, which was before their lunch.)

But in the UK first period typically only starts at 9 AM. So free period from around 9-10 AM and Snapes class from 10-11 AM I’d say.

Acting like your favorite character is objectively The Most Important to the point of devaluing the multitude of other characters making up a franchise is beyond the point of annoyance, and you need to accept that people may begin to not like your “fave(s)” because you yourselves are intolerable as fans. I fail to see how you’re proving the haters wrong by ignoring the representation characters give people, the lack of representation given to some to put some of your faves at the forefront, the narrative issues your faves have been a part of and/or the way putting certain characters on a pedestal for certain things stands in direct contrast to things they’ve said and/or done. That’s not something to be proud of.

white sociopathy and fragility is so deeply troubling bc even ‘progressive’ white ppl express it, it’s just so deeply ingrained in them and the concept of ‘whiteness’ that you can’t have one without the other. being called racist is scarier to them than actually being racist, and they’ll have full blown meltdowns when accused of racism bc they can see the social consequences of that accusation - people not wanting to associate with them, people speaking negatively about them, etc - and it terrifies them. dealing w the social ramifications of being racist scares them, but actual racism doesn’t bc it doesnt affect them. if they’re racist and no one notices, it doesn’t hurt them; if they’re racist and people notice, they ‘suffer’ (even though that ‘suffering’ would be justified, and what constitutes as ‘suffering’ to them re: accusations of racism doesn’t compare to racialized people actually, you know, experiencing racism.)
