One thing I've tended to notice about creepypasta is the lack of actually compelling female characters to the point where people have to rewrite old characters and reimagine their entire lore, design and personality to make her sound more interesting. It's a persistant issue too because every time a new female character tries to arrise, it's struck down and not given any popularity at all.

I have heard of a few new characters and they sound cool in theory but there's either not enough information about them or they're written off as "just a girl" or a mary sue before they can actually be seen as a character worth considering.

Of course, this happens with many ocs in this fandom, but I've noticed it's mostly prominent with women.

This isn't really anything that's newly been stated. Everyone knows and I see plenty of people acknowledging this problem but the usual solution is to rewrite older characters instead of giving light to new ones.

I don't care if Jane Richardson is the original one, she is not that versatile, she is just a full grown woman who is indoctrinated by the government to be their hunt dog, has a bunch of superpower and is married to Mary Vaughns that is treated so superficial that clockwork's brother has more lore than her.

Meanwhile we have Jane Everlasting, who saw most of Jeff's lore, got burned alive with gasoline and fucking survive, and started straight away to hunt Jeff down, all while still a minor, that from what we know was all by herself, and all she had was a wig,a white mask,a dress and a knife.

Let's be honest, Everlasting was all by herself, Richardson still had her sister and Mary, if Richardson has a bad day she can cry on Mary's shoulder, but everlasting had no one, and she was still a teen,she had no house to go when rained,she had no one to vent to, and she had no one to help her out, the only things she had came from the same person who killed her parents, someone who she trusted once.

Of course she will be more popular, between a super soldier and a girl with nothing to lose, I find Jane Everlasting much better.

This has me SCREAMING. Firstly, you know Richardson was also a teenager, right? Everlasting being alone doesn't make her more compelling, it just makes her the same as every other creepypasta ever.

I don't find either of the women that compelling in the first place but to say Everlasting is more interesting because she's exactly like every creepypasta woman ever is quite the take to have.
