do you use references? do you have any tips for how to use them?

i use references sometimes - sometimes not at all. i honestly don’t think i use them in a way that is particularly unique or useful though.

here was my ref for this drawing:

the reference was just some stock photo i found on pinterest. i think if you feel like you need a reference to draw, just find one that is close enough and wing it
