Slowly, the maiden looked around her, invaded by a sense of unease. The moon was slowly emerging from the clouds, and even if it was lightly reassuring her, she was frightened at the thought of not fiding her path. It had been so scary when the night started to fall. So scary, that the young girl had panicked, and, while trying to find her way back, rushed in a hazardous direction, to end in a little glade, lost in the middle of the forest. She dared not scream, or call someone to help her; Her Mother, as much as her Grandmother, had always repeated to her that, with the fall of night, wolves were tempting to lurk into the woods, and the maiden would've never wished to draw the attention of something that could've done something horrible to her. Thereby, she remained silent, immobile, small tears forming at the corner of her eyes.
Eventually, she saw a figure behind a tree. Without thinking, without considering that this action could be a grave mistake, she ran towards it, to end in front of a man, who was strangely looking at her, his golden eyes shining under the moonlight. The maiden bit her lips, feeling that she was close to tears, and almost jumps into the man's arms, snuggling against him with all the little strenght she had.
