me when the disability disables me: oh what the fuck? this sucks. what the hell man!
video from: California Academy of Sciences
Hey, it's Methuselah!! She's the oldest lungfish in captivity!!
honestly, the radicalizing event that made me ditch faux-ironic detachment is when I sent a hard-to-write sentimental message to someone I was (at the time) close with, and they sent the vomiting emoji back. it was like oh okay, that sucks. I am now of the opinion that it is 100x cooler and braver to be sappy with the people you care about.
i hate when i get to the sex scenes in visual novels because, due to my commitment to experiencing things as intended, i am forced to start jacking my stupid cock again
me whenever i see /pos and /hj: why are you calling me a piece of shit and what do handjobs have to do with any of this :/
me every five minutes: if I built another weird electronic contraption I think it would fix me
folks you don't understand. I have a tinkering compulsion. last week I was bored one afternoon so I built a rechargeable electronic D&D dice set that seeds its random number generator by measuring the ambient electromagnetic field. it took four hours and I didn't need any parts that weren't already in my house.
in case you're wondering what that looks like
people in the tags have been 10x hornier about this post than anything else I've ever put on the internet which is equal parts refreshing and validating. I do in fact believe making and discussing Whatchamacallits is an underappreciated form of flirting
Someone hurry up and get directX working 100% on Linux.
Some good news. 1, it’s being slow rolled out at the moment. 2, it’s reportedly really easy to turn off.
fascinated by how "dislocate" seems to be a word used almost exclusively to refer to the misalignment of bodies, or parts of the body, from their proper place. it's distinctly anatomical. you don't say "i dislocated my keys" for instance, even though that's technically a correct and coherent sentence.
on the other hand, it would be really funny to say "i misplaced my shoulder" to announce a devastating injury
it went that way 👉
you think you're not inconveniencing anyone by not having wants and needs, but actually you're just hard to shop gifts for
Is that a minotaur?
In the first mission of Slipsand Galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy 2, Mario or Luigi must slide down an extremely long slope. After they begin sliding, cylindrical Thwomp-like enemies called Rhomps appear from behind and attempt to squash them by rolling over them.
If the player is playing as Luigi and performs an extremely precise long jump just as Luigi is about to be rolled over by a Rhomp, Luigi will gain immense speed that will catapult him into the air as seen in the footage.
Unfortunately, there is no way for the player to slow down Luigi at that point, so that after flying far enough to exit the regular gameplay area, Luigi will leave the boundaries of the galaxy, and die.
