And then as you'd scroll through your feed, you'd stumble upon a familiar name; stantheanomaly and you'd stop. You'd hit the follow button. As you'd go down, you'd realise the last time I've been active on Tumblr is 1069 weeks ago. And you'd wonder, how I'm doing. If I'm happy. Or am I still writing sad love poems. My truest confessions haha. Guilty pleasure, writing is my guilty pleasure. Better than an orgasm with your lover perhaps. Better than watching Messi play football. Better than Eminems lyrics. Sorry, i deviated. As usual. So, you'd experience the pleasure of reading me again. You'd read everything I've ever written or shared here. You'd read. Read. And read. My deepest and most naked confessions. Then, you'd stumble upon THIS PIECE RIGHT HERE, and you'd read this. As you read this, I hope a tear makes its way to your heart. A tear, of happiness I'd wish. It's amazing how almost everything that's into existence today is there because someone at some point of time religiously wished for something.
Perhaps, perfume exists because centuries ago somewhere, some day, somebody wanted to adorn the pungent smell of their rotten being with something. Something more bearable. Something that keeps their beast docile inside their human skin.
Over time, every body emanated the same fragrance. And then, again, somebody made a wish. Growing sickeningly tired of smelling the same as everyone that walked by the supermarket aisle, they wished to smell differently. That's how perfume evolved into what it's today.
But it's a paradox. Because time catches up. With time, once again, everyone smells the same. Because their uniqueness was someone else's uniqueness too. Infinitely.
We thrive to change. Evolve. Become. And some of us succeed. They change, believing they're the only ones to do so. Oblivious that the ocean devours everyone indiscriminately. There are copies of your soul strewn across our decaying earth. No matter where you run to you're destined to find them. Some are just pebbles in the shoe. While a few can turn out to be the potholes that break your spine.
What I'm trying to say is, that saying 'I love you' when they're just about to close the door behind them might be too late to say that.
Because with time, everyone grows sick of smelling the same as the hand that holds them. But love, love makes smelling that barbarous smell bearable.

For years, the manuscript for "On Earth We Briefly Became One" lived only on my laptop, a blend of what we've all lived through, given a fictional twist. The path to finishing it was slow, gritty, and deeply personal.
Finally, that personal journey takes its first major step into the world: I am absolutely thrilled to announce that I have signed a publishing contract with @fingerprintpublishingbooks for my debut novel, "On Earth We Briefly Became One"!
