hmm i think one of the things that’s bothering me, purely from a writing perspective, is that by making them human, they’ve stopped playing by the rules of their own genre
i think one of the hard to describe things that’s upsetting about the ending is that we’ve already established for two seasons that angels and demons exist, and so do heaven and hell. And so to then suddenly shift into a world where none of that is real, it’s jarring! Because you’ve already calibrated your suspension of disbelief to allow for angels and demons casually existing!
