The Remorseful Fruad

[This is an disconutined prototype chapter so that's why it's structured all werd]

The actual story starts out with the now grown up 'heros' talking about their latest adventure on their way to see the queen. They've gone on countless adventures through out the years so they not only made a name for themselves through out the land but they've gotten very close as a group despite their differences when they first started adventuring. Meanwhile Sam laments about having to do the dirty work for the queen all these years, hidding the truth from everone except his closest friend Tye. Tye figured out that Sam was hidding something pretty quickly and with the truth eating him alive at the time he told Tye everything fairly easy. After hearing all this Tye decides to become a secret helper to Sam by helping him cover the truth everytime their groupmates get suscpicious while doing research on how to defeat the queen on the side. Molly mentions to the group that their almost their subtely snapping Sam out of his thoughts. He always gets scared visiting the queen, something that his friends (mainly Ray) likes to make fun of him for but he just can't help himself knowing what she's capable of.

Once the group has arrive to the courtroom they all greet he queen in their own little ways. The queen with a 'soothing' smile on her face asks that they've brought her this time. Abby excitely gave the summary of their adventure. During her explanation she took the mirror out of her pocket and only got a few steps towards the queen before she gentlely remind her that it's Sam that has to give her the mirror. Abby quickly and nerviously apoligize before handing Sam the mirror. He stood there for a couple of seconds disapointed that Abby couldn't do it in his stead before he slowly making his way the the queen. Sam starts hearing the people in the mirror warning him the danger in front of him while screaming a begging him not to give them away to the queen while Sam pretends not to hear their cries, subtlely picking up his pace. Once he gives the queen the mirror he does and curt bow and joges back to his place amoung his friends. The queen does her usual spiel about how proud she is of them living up to the title heros and boasts on how their name is the most heard of in the land which made Sam roll his eyes not knowing that Molly caught that. She ends the speech by telling them to rest well until their next adventure and dismisses them. The group left the courtroom in a practicely refined manner then excitely chatted away once they beileve their out of ear shot. Ray immedately took the oppurnity to jokingly chistise him for giving attitude for the queen which suprises Molly but Abby reasures her that he often does this which doesn't help with Molly's worry. Tye discreetly changed the subject while they head out of the castle. When it's time to seperate Molly insist on walking with Sam to his house as she haven't visted his parents in a while. Tye asks to talk with Sam for a moment while the group shares their goodbyes. He scolds him about being more careful about his attitude around the others while warning him that Molly's probaly onto him again. Sam says that he'll heed the warning which satisfied him and he went with Ray and Abby to go home.

The moment Sam and Molly steped into the door they were bombarded by Sam's parents about their lastest adventure, though their questions were more towards Molly. They took the conversation to the dining room once the parents realize that they were at the doorway for too long asking Molly about her personal life like hows her planning for the decoration event going or her siblings in the orphanage. Once it was clear to Sam that they weren't going to ask him anything he quitely retreted to his room to think. He contemplate about his dream of being a hero wondering just how long can he force himself to work with the queen before he—-? Then he heard a knock on the door before it opens revealing Molly coming in. 'And he it comes' he thought to himself before going on a tangent about his behavoring lately, he's easily exhaused, often grumpy or straight up mute, gotten more comforable with bad mouthing the queen and many other odd behaviors. As Molly rambles on Sam internally beats himself up for his mask slip too much. Molly have always been observant but between helping townspeople, her many siblings at the orphange, and rounding up their chaotic group to make sure no one gets hurt or neglected she never payed much attention to him, he's suppose to be the leader after all. 'Some leader I am, half of my groupmates don't even respect me' Sam told himself bitterly. Once Molly finished her rant he just do what he always does; say he's fine and brush off the concerns. Molly gave him a look before reluentlly pulling back. She apolgize for her intrusion before quickly leaving the room. Sam let out a sigh of releif when she left. He appreciate the concern he really does but he tells himself this is for the best before quitely retreting to bed, unaware that Molly made a silent promise to herself that'll change how the group functions.

Valko - Van Helsing AU 🐺🏹

Always want to make this AU tbh, took inspiration from 2004 van helsing movie. Valko as van helsing that can turn into a werewolf, mc as a witch who doubles as a hunter. They on each other throat but one thing another, they need to work together ^^ (also this an excuse for me to try draw furry 😭)

You know what Infold/PPG could do to satisfy the crazies who don't want to see MC's face but also still satisfy those that do?

I don't know how easy it would be for them to program this, but what if they had a on/off switch in the settings for showing MC's face? And the off button blurred her face like how police have to blur children's faces in bodycam videos posted to the internet.

This would probably cause more work, but at the same time, they wouldn't have to "censor" MC's face the way they're doing it now. It would satisfy both parties.

When I see people say laurmau couldn't work long-term because Laurence's shadow knight form would make him too dangerous, I get a bit sad. To me, in some ways it feels like being a shadow knight is almost like an allegory for mental health.

Like Vylad said in s2 ep66, "Laurence is in control for now. Some days are good, some days are bad. [...] Being a shadow knight, it never stops. That urge to let go, stop caring about those you love. Somedays it just seems so easy. You'd stop hurting. There'd be no pain, no disappointment. To give in, let go of all ties... no emotional attachments. It would feel so good. [...] Imagine your favorite dessert. Then imagine having it always in front of you. It's always fresh and there. But you can never get to it."

Idk, to me that all feels like one big allegory for someone struggling with mental health. And Laurence is trying; he's trying so hard and just needs support. So, the argument that he's too dangerous just makes me sad. Idk, maybe I'm overthinking it.

I think Asmo is Demi-romantic.

He likes the idea of romance in general but his fantasies of being adored aren't really about being in love.

What he has with Solomon has never and could be romantic because it's never been equal. Solomon took advantage of Asmo and he had to convince himself it was for the better.

He's so used to being taken advantage of, and manipulating others in return, whether on purpose or not. It felt strange when MC just... stayed. They didn't even use their pact with him. He liked them, showered them with compliments like all his friends. Something felt different with MC. They stayed when he ranted, they didn't complain when he whined about his chipped nails, they listened, looked at him with something unfamiliar. Or perhaps too familiar.

He remembered his brothers used to look at him like that. Back when they were angels. They're eyes lit up when he entered a room. They laughed alongside him, listened to his troubles, hugged him when he needed it. He missed it.

He missed being looked at like he mattered for more than his looks.

His brothers still love him, he knows this. He knows because he loves them. He knows because even at his most ugly they stayed.

Seeing MC do the same, staying despite his threats, staying despite him being so broken, staying when he cries, staying when he wants to dress them up, staying when even his brothers grow tired of him, staying even when his brothers are around, staying with him and his family.

The day he realizes he feels scared and excited all at once. He finally gets to know how it truly feels to love someone so badly you'd do anything to make them stay. The thought still remained what if this was what got them to leave? To abandon him?

He couldn't use his body to make them stay- They told him they only cared about him taking care of his body because it was his.

What did he do to make them stay? What was it? What does he have to keep doing? What is the price of their attention?

He loves them, undoubtedly, unconditionally.

They don't love him back, not yet.

He'll make sure they fall for him or die trying.

It was strange to Asmodeus. The lust he felt wasn't sexual (or at least not exclusively). He longed for everything MC could give him. No not give him. Just everything they were. Everything they did.

The glances, the lingering touches, the way their chest rose and fell when they slept, the way they smiled, the way they light up with joy when talking about their favorite subject, the way they reassure him when he's worried, the way they take care, the way they love-

Love. MC loves his family. MC loves him.

Asmodeus was now certain. If love was care, he wanted to be the one to care for MC for the rest of their life.

Asmodeus is a selfish demon. He knows it would break his brothers hearts but if he could be the one to make MC feel safe and happy forever- It would be worth it.

His brothers loved him as much as he loved them. They would forgive him eventually.

At the end of the day Asmodeus knows MC is happiest with all of their family together. He knows they love his brothers just as much as he loves them. He keeps his selfish wish locked away, holds MC close, stealing them for a few moments away from the chaos of their beloved family, and he whispers. Words from the depths of his selfish heart, of the part only his family is allowed to see.

"I love you"

Okay but in all seriousness I LOVE this(and find it a little relatable so maybe it’s bias), but I feel like while everyone is shown being heavily negatively affected by their sin, asmo doesn’t get that as much if that makes sense?

Also I love whenever people take asmo more seriously, I know he is canonically very very freaky and he’s always down to get down, but he has emotional needs to! He deserves to be held and told the words “I love you” without someone expecting him to put out in return!
