hi everyone !! 

sorry i disappeared for way longer than i said i would !! a few months ago, i had a procedure done. everything went super well, i just had to take some time off to recover. and what was supposed to be taking a month or two off kinda kept getting extended aksjdfhjksadf.

truth be told, i haven’t had much motivation to write. i think it’s a combination of being in a slump and irl stuff going on. but !! the good news is that i have a lot of hope things are turning around. i will be moving next month and my hope is that once all that is said and done and i’m settled, i will be able to come back here !! i don’t want to make promises i can’t keep so i won’t share too many details, but i still wanted to give you guys an update on what’s been going on.

and by come back…i mean remake askdjfhadsjkfh. i think my blog is in desperate need of a cleanup and remaking will be a great fresh start. i’ll definitely keep you guys updated !! 

so, until then, i won’t be very active on here ( except to share my correct r//wby opinions ). but i’m still around, so please don’t hesitate to reach out !! thank you so much for your patience everyone !!

i really hate this notion in the rpc that “because this is a hobby, i don’t owe anybody shit.” because that in itself is tacky and toxic and really shows your immaturity. because although you may not owe people anything, you do owe people human decency and respect. i’m not talking about, oh you need to give every single person you unfollow or soft/hard block an explanation. because you don’t. people should be able to unfollow or block without being questioned relentlessly. but you do however actually owe the people that become your friends, a whole lot more. the rpc has gotten far too comfortable with discarding your friends aside like they’re nothing but garbage. people frequently ghost or go around spreading rumors and bullying or ganging up on others. and for what? because this is a literal hobby and we’re all here to vibe that means you’re entitled to being a piece of shit? i didn’t realise a place that’s an escape for a lot of people from the shitty unkind real world means they’re still going to face the same shit coming on here. they shouldn’t have to, because i can guarantee if the roles were reversed; those saying people don’t owe them shit, would be eating their own words if it happened to them - and usually, they do act like a hypocrite. people get too powerful and think they’re above others and that exempts them from treating people with basic respect or kindness. it really shouldn’t be that hard to treat people with kindness and respect, whether they’re your friend or not, whether this is a literal hobby and you’re hardly here. we’re all real fucking people. we may write fictional characters, but the writers behind those said fictional characters are all real; you can treat people with respect

For Aura.

As many of you know, we lost a member of our community here on Tumblr on May 4th, 2022. Aura, who’s name is Hannah, was a caring, loving member of the community, always ready to extend the hand of friendship, to come to us with new ideas and character takes. She was a bright, warm light to everyone who knew her.

Something Aura was passionate about was charities. She was an avid donator to the Edmonton Humane Society and volunteered with multiple drives, including The Stollery Children’s Hospital and The Rainbow Society of Alberta. The latter is an organization that grants wishes to children who have been diagnosed with life threatening and critical illnesses, of which Aura was once a recipient.

Please join us in honouring her memory with a donation to The Rainbow Society.

Aura.

This might be the hardest day of my life to date. I want to begin this by thanking everyone who reblogged my post asking for any information on our dear friend Aura (Hannah) . It was because of you all that a friend of hers was able to reach me. Sadly, our wonderful Aura passed away on the 4th of May, 2022.

Aura's mother asked me to let her friends here know of her passing, as "it would break her heart if they didn't know". Please keep her loved ones in your thoughts. And as @sparksofdaylight said to me today: Give yourself the grace and love Aura would give you. Aura loved her family and friends (and her dog, Oscar) so very much. She loved us, and knew we loved her. Aura is latin for "glowing light", and that's what she was to everyone. May she shine bright in our hearts.
