It doesn’t hurt employees, prices are so jacked up it doesn’t effect profits, most companies have theft insurance so there’s literally zero impact, the only person who’s put under any danger is the shoplifter so it’s a conscious self taken risk

Imagine having so much money it’s literally impossible for you to spend in yours And your children’s lifetimes, and owning a company that isn’t willing to pay more than the state REQUIRES you to pay employees, watching them scrape by and giving shitty benefits, and charging so much profit on your products that the prices are hard to afford for the majority of society so you can keep your money by enforcing the poverty cycle

I’m making a list of tips for lifters who are minors/don’t have access to cars/live with their families. If anyone has some good ones and wants to help me out with it hit me up.
When I used to live with my family (sometimes a friend would drop me off at my house) and I didn’t want anybody to see me walking in with bags (especially because I used to acquire a lot of liquor lol and I was a minor) I would stash whatever I had outside and just walk in the house, greet everybody, whatever. After a few mins of settling down I would make up an excuse..take the dog out or something..or I would just slip out the basement door without them even noticing and hand all my bags & shit up to my brother through my window and come back inside. They rarely ever saw me with bags that way and I would just unpack all my lifted shit & make it blend in with everything else.
Also, excuses I used for going out and coming back with “nothing” or just to go out in general were mostly “so&so and I are going to see a movie” or “getting something to eat” the mall food court was pretty cheap, so even $5-$10 could get you something to eat and “hang out” !
My room never really got checked..everybody would come in it though to speak to me or whatever, however my room was really neat! So even if I did have something new out in the open it was where it belonged & blended in !
And of course the “so&so gave it to me/I took it from so&so, they’re gonna be so mad😋” excuse worked wonders. My friends & I would always do this before I started lifting so that really wasn’t something new.

Honestly, I was so nervous and shaken about my first lift, but thanks to the supportive and wonderful lifting community here on Tumblr I was able to be safe while lifting and avoid getting caught! I made sure to visit stores that had been described as “easy” stores to start with, and I’m so satisfied with the results. I hope I have a long and fun lifting career, and I’m excited to start my very own liftblr. I will not be posting very often, but I promise good content :)

Just because you don’t see towers doesn’t mean there aren’t other detectors. I’m pretty sure a lot of stores near me have these especially in the more upscale shopping centers. Always detag my sweet babes 💗

So Aritzia has invisible towers and I’ve walked out with tags in foil dozens of times and never beeped. I knew they had to have towers, and yet I’ve looked everywhere for them and seen none.
As I’m about to walk out with a slew of their tags on my person, two girls enter before me and the gates go crazy. Red starts flashing everywhere and it’s incredibly loud for twenty seconds. I wait till it calms down and walk out. No beeping.
I was shocked even though I knew that there had to be towers at a place like that. They’re absolutely invisible.

Honestly I just wanna share with you my favorite lifting tool which is the seam ripper!
Unlike magnets and hooks, seam rippers aren’t illegal to carry around in stores, and they’re small enough to hide anywhere. If you don’t wanna hide it, you could get one of those mini sewing kits and have it in your purse and just say you carry that shit around everywhere in case you get a hole in your clothes!
I get tags off with seam rippers all the time and all it does it create a teeny tiny hole which is easily fixable (with the aforementioned sewing kit lmao) or you could just leave it tbh it’s such a small hole. Super easy to carry with you, super easy to lift from a hobby store, and doesn’t have any of the risks that magnets and hooks have
I’ve made up my mind. I’m getting one.
This is the only way I lift. You’ll never get busted for it since it can be part of a sewing kit. There’s so many tutorials out there on how to sew up small holes in clothes too.
Again, you can be busted for having a seam ripper and charged with a felony. Whether the charges stick are up to your lawyer. Once again, any tools demonstrating intent to lift (such as being in possession of a seam ripper AND stolen merchandise with the tags clearly cut out) can get you a felony charge in America.
This is the internet, so I can’t say it louder, but please don’t falsely think you are protected just because your tool of choice is not a hook or magnet. Keep yourselves safe.
