If my love for fairytales and folklore have proven anything to me, it's that people fear things that aren't human. (I mean most of us fear humans too but anyway...) So Imma throw out the prediction that we might go back to art galleries, farmers markets, and the theaters (plays with physical actors type) because of all that's going on with AI.

Back with the sketchbook! Page 12 is supposed to be an OC sitting on a wall with some ivy plants on it. Page 13 was going to be a little galaxy painting. Like the multi panel one in my room. I have already posted page 14. Simple but I still love it 😌. Not bad past me.
Page 15 is supposed to be a city on another planet that looks super ritzy or glamorous but the foreground is gonna show that all is not what it seems. Not really original but whatever. Lol.
Page 16 is supposed to be a garden fairy OC just standing on a flower.

Okay, so page 6 (top left) is going to be submarine lights on a giant octopus, but so far, it's just a rough pencil sketch. Page 7 (top right) is just blank, but I originally planned to paint the cadejos, both of them, on a hill facing off.
Page 8 (bottom left) is going to be a pumpkin patch at midnight. Page 9 (bottom right) is a hanging fruit bat being illuminated by a flashlight.
Now, pages 10 and 11 are a finished piece, but also an old piece from high school. Looking back at it, the composition needs work, but I quite like it.
I think the task was to take pieces of a coloring book and incorporate them into a new piece. I took some building parts and made it an overgrown, El Dorado-esque, ruined city.
So here's the deal. This little corner of the abyss is where I yell out my random thoughts and post some of my art in case I lose it or it gets destroyed (has happened more than I like to admit).
So I have this sketchbook
I believe I posted the cover already (it's a temple that only appears in moonlight), it's a sketchbook that I have decided will be full of complete pieces as I do have several that are just dedicated to practice and play. It's very, very, very unfinished. Although almost all the pages have a very rough sketch on them, and I do wanna bring all them to completion.
So I have decided to do a small (ish) personal challenge to post those sketches here for safe keeping (in case of previously mentioned destruction, cough... 3pm hurricanes in Florida summers a forgetful mind... cough), as motivation to actually finish them, and maybe as little art prompts for whoever stumbles into this corner of the abyss.
To future me let's do this!
I'm not off to a strong start, but the first 3 pages are literally blobs of leftover paint and blank. To future me, maybe turn the red one to like a volcanic scene? Idk what I'm going to do with these but ok.
Now, pages 4 and 5 are much better. Page 4 is actually complete, and I love it so much!!! The plan for Page 5 is to make it a grassland with like a castle in the distance, a stream, and a dragon flying overhead. Might change it a bit idk.

So I made a sort of connecting picture of space and I love how they turned out. I put a varnish on two of them though and the varnish sort of dulled the metallic paint I used so I stopped. As always, taking a nice picture is a struggle.
