Maybe I am trans, so that's been a scary realization given the world we're living in.

I feel guilty for feeling afraid of my own identity. I am not ashamed of trans people, but for some reason I'm having a hard time with my own trans identity. I feel shame for myself. And that feels bad.

I mean, I've identified as nonbinary for a couple years now, and that hasn't been bad at all. Anything to avoid the feminine, because that just isn't me. I've been scared to consider myself part of the transgender community, because I wasn't ever sure I belonged, even as a nonbinary person.

But now, I keep leaning further and further into masculinity and I can't tell if I'm just afraid of defining myself as a man or if I'm still nonbinary and just particularly masculine. I'm scared. Is it wrong to be scared? I don't know.

I'm going by he/they now and it feels right. Maybe I'm just too scared to admit what I already know. How does one being to know themselves?

I need songs to vibe with what I'm feeling and tell me WHY there are NO SONGS about friendship love and being happy as friends??? They just DON'T exist. It's all "we're friends but almost lovers" or "I wish we were lovers" or "best friends to lovers" but what about best friends? I have many similiar worries and delights in my friendships but I cannot for the life of me find songs about it that don't involve some romantic aspect. If anyone has any recommendations, let me know.

Do you ever feel like you smother the good things in your life? Like you try so hard to make them stay that you suffocate them to death?

I'm so scared of fucking things up.

You know, friendships are so precious and I feel like we never pay enough attention to that. I got so caught up in having feelings for this girl (whom I love, dearly) that I almost lost her as a friend.

The feelings are gone, but the relationship is stronger than ever before. Friendship love is stronger than a crush. Now we talk about anything, we flirt with each other, we spend hours on the phone laughing and playing games and being happy. Happier than we ever were when I was caught up in my feelings.

It makes me think about that quote from A Little Life.

"Why wasn't friendship as good as a relationship? Why wasn't it even better? It was two people who remained together, day after day, bound not by sex or physical attraction or money or children or property, but only by the shared agreement to keep going, the mutual dedication to a union that could never be codified."

I'm grateful to have a friend I can count on. And it really is better than a relationship, because it's not just because we're "in love." It's stronger than that. It's survived fights and silence and awkward feelings and strange conversations. And there's no one I know I can count on more than the person who has stuck by me all this time.

It's good to have friends.

I really want to publish a book someday! That's my big goal but I've been doing a lot better recently too so living every single day hasn't been as bad as it used to be.

This is so hard! Probably the Game Grumps 10 Minute Power Hour. It's a show on YouTube and I basically re-watch it every day anyway lol

I literally despise AI, sure it's all fun and games for a while but I'd rather have robots doing the boring stuff so I have a chance to make art, not the other way around. I don't like the use of AI for creative purposes, also it's damaging the enviornment and affecting minority communities so I can't be in support of it.
