CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER 2014 | dir. The Russo Brothers
alright I've got to do some quick math to explain attitudes towards AI to my boss.
we're looking to create an AI policy, and when we were talking about this, my boss (older millennial) was genuinely shocked to hear that younger people do not (seem) to view AI positively (a la the recent commencement speakers being booed)
please rb for larger sample size!
Question 1/3
What is your age, and do you feel AI is a net positive or net negative in our lives today?
under 18, AI is a net positive
under 18, AI is a net negative
18-29, AI is a net positive
18-29, AI is a net negative
30-45, AI is a net positive
30-45, AI is a net negative
46-60, AI is a net positive
46-60, AI is a net negative
over 60, AI is a net postive
over 60, AI is a net negative
Question 2/3
How often do you visit or interact with museums/archives (whether in person or online)?
Frequently (multiple times per month)
Often (multiple times per year)
Occasionally (a couple times per year)
Rarely (once every couple of years)
Never :(
Question 3/3
If you saw a museum was using AI in exhibits, marketing, research, etc., would you be more or less inclined to visit that museum?
under 18, more inclined
under 18, less inclined
18-29, more inclined
18-29, less inclined
30-45, more inclined
30-45, less inclined
46-60, more inclined
46-60, less inclined
over 60, more inclined
over 60, less inclined
Thank you for helping with this data collection. Please rb for as big a sample as possible!

Happy Pride Month!
Holy shit!!!!!!! HUNGARY DID IT!!!!
-via the Los Angeles Blade, June 1, 2026
Happy Pride everyone, today is the tenth anniversary of the nationwide right to gay Marriage in the United States and the 22nd anniversary of nationwide legalization of Gay Sex. In 2 days is the 56th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising.
We have won nothing without fighting and we have everything to lose, there is no gay liberation without trans liberation, none of us are free till all of us are free, we have won so much and come so far but the road ahead is still long, we must continue to fight for both our liberation and the liberation of all people
The gay liberation movement is young, everything we have fought for and won happened over the course of less than a human lifetime, and there are forces at play that wish to claw back at these hard fought for rights, we must be prepared to defend what we have fought for and we must continue to fight for improvement
We have to celebrate how far things have come, because we never would have made it this far without joy and hope, and while we can and must fight, we also must remain hopeful
This year is:
11 years since nationwide gay marriage in the US
23 years since sodomy was legalized
57 years since Stonewall
"for you, i would" is such a gentle n sweet love language like no maybe i wouldn't usually do this but i would love to do it if it would make you happy
20 years ago, it was a scandal that Google started to track which links you clicked on the search-results page,
this is like finding a journal written by someone before the zombie apocalypse happened
tbh a lot of my advice boils down to “hey you know that terrible horrible looming thing you’re doing your best to avoid and distract and escape as much as possible but no matter what you do it just keeps looming and looming and ruining your life”
“just, fuckign, run straight at it screaming.”
i needed this as a background

I’m not crying… no. Yeah. I am crying.
I'm being emotional about space. Have a little doodle.
The Artemis mission went really well and part of me likes to think that, some of the reason it did, was because they had quite a group of chaperones ensuring their safety all the way there and back

Oh man, do I have a story: freshman year of college, having not been in school for about 5 years because of money, I was all bright-eyed and excited for my first English writing class. I was stoked that we were dissecting the Declaration of Independence and diving into Greek philosophy and more. I was going to have a wonderful time ... Until I realized that the teacher had some pretty harsh lines of thought. When she found out that I had not been in school for years, it was like she doubted me entirely. It sucked. I had so many people doubting that I could get into college after so long, I didn't need more people doing the same when I was actually in college. So, I did what I always did when people doubted me and belittled me: I found a way to spite her. Excellently written papers, turned in on time if not early, with lots of citations and notes. I typed my notes on my computer even though she insisted upon paper notes. I can type and edit my notes faster on the computer and I can thus focus on actually absorbing knowledge. When she really got angry at that, I put everything away, and only listened to the lecture. Then I gave her a summary of everything we talked about and discussed in class. Verbally. No notes. She stopped bothering me about that. But this is not the end. She was basically a cranky pants to everyone and towards the end of the semester, classroom discussions all but fizzled out and she was supremely frustrated. Then, she looked at me. The one student who was still engaged (because I was still doing my best to spite her). As if I was going to save this discussion. So, I tilted my head, thought for a moment, and then said a comment that made everyone's heads turn and completely derail the general discussion: "So, on the topic of jurisdiction, my father was a retired black op in the Navy and my brother is currently in the Navy, but under less security. Due to nothing being declassified, who would have jurisdiction over the hypothetical murder of them? The Navy, Defense Department, or CIA?" The class went wild. We went from one subject to another. For the last half hour, my teacher couldn't get a word in. The entire time I posed this question, I stared at my teacher right in the eye. She wanted a class discussion and she got it.
