One of the earliest settlements on Navi'ita is the Maolok Wasteland.

In the beginnings of astrodite civilization, when the society's science and technological advancements were still young and, the people used machines, fuels, and materials that were ultimately harmful to the ecosystem. By the time the damage was realized, better alternatives were already being created, but the damage was also considered irreversible.

The astrodite left Maolok to nature and abandoned the old methods completely to prevent future damages from being inflicted on their beloved homeworld. The rest of the planet aged and weathered over the eons while Maolok decayed and recovered. In the modern day, the rest of the planet appears old and wise and stands tall, but Maolok is new and young. The stark contrast between Maolok and the rest of the world is a vast one. The landscape and environment are finally healthy after eons of taint rotting in the ground and air. It's green and fresh and nature has reclaimed it with beauty, but there is an undeniable scar.

Cane shook his head before making his way to Caroline, he knew that Caroline wasn't good with her words and expressing herself.

It wasn't in Caroline's intention to be rude.

Elá left the tower and spent the rest of the day out in the city, having far better things to do that play the role of the obedient, mind reading therapy dog that at least two people expected her to play. When she came back that night, she went to bed.

"Nobody is asking you to act like a therapy dog, but little more understanding wouldn't hurt you," the angel spoke before the elevator doors closed and he actually made his way towards Caroline.

"Telling me to approach and appease someone that's been nothing but rude is exactly what you just did. Grown ups use their words, they don't throw shit around and curse and spend an entire day pointedly ignoring everyone because being approached makes them feel special," Elá shrugged, as the doors closed.

"I think she isn't playing," Cane hummed softly as he stepped out the elevator before looking at the balcony and sighing sadly as he recognized the pain and confusion in Caroline's body language as she smoked on the balcony.

"Besides she isn't playing any game. Never has been, trust me on this I know people like her, " he hummed softly as he glanced at the girl and he knew what he was talking about. "Lynx played games, Caroline doesn't play games, also it won't hurt anyone to start a conversation with her," he mused as he walked towards the balcony and there was something in his voice that gave away that he was amused by Caroline and her behavior. The angel never met someone who was such a lost cause but he took it as a challenge.

"It's not my job to be a meek little therapy dog to a grown adult that slams shit around, cursing and yelling instead of saying they're upset and asking for help, so you can fuck right off with your it's not a game crap," Elá said, pressing the button to close the elevator doors. She wasn't about to act like a good little puppy and chase the attention of someone she barely knew who had, so far, been nothing rude to her.

"Stop calling me that," Elá rolled her eyes, "Stop making me say it. She's back there trying to get someone's attention without using her words and I don't have time to play her game."

"This is bullshit," she said as she slammed her phone on the counter before making her way on the balcony with a pack of cigarettes in hand and closing the door behind her.

Elá sighed and got up, heading to the elevator to leave. If she gets snapped at for walking into a room, she didn't want to stick around and find out what was going to happen next.
