sometimes i feel like just a "normal" cyberpunk 2077 fan who doesn't really care about the fandom fights, and then i see something related to fem v/valerie and realize i’m no better than those guys on reddit who say that a certain version of v is the best, cause i really think valerie is the best v and the only one i consider "canon" to me 😭

thinking about how johnny is objectively very protective of V throughout their time together. yet the kicker is that he’s primarily protecting V from himself. every time he pulls her back from passing out, or asks if she’s feeling ok, or forces her into an operating chair, it’s his fault. he’s killing her. seeing as johnny struggles with self loathing, i cannot even imagine his internal monologue regarding that. they both try to frame it as johnny and V versus the engram but. i know johnnys gotta be thinking about how he’s doing this to her. i imagine the guilt eats him up from the inside out. like maybe it’s divine punishment for johnny living as a selfish bastard his whole life. now he has to watch the person he is closest to slowly die. and it’s his fault. and he can’t do shit about it.

Also, it’s my birthday tomorrow, and my home city of Kyiv, Ukraine, is still being terrorised on a daily basis. We are bracing for another massive attack, while our energy workers are doing the impossible to help people not freeze to death after our energy grid has been heavily damaged.

We still have emergency blackouts in the capital and very sparse, unpredictable electricity, so this is the first new artwork I managed to complete in January.

Just tired and exhausted from the unfairness and the indifference of the world that lets this kind of evil exist and prosper, and not just that, but constantly whitewashes it and finds ways to celebrate it. ____________

the idea of ​​johnny and v meeting naturally and randomly in 2023, like a chance encounter, during a fight, or at one of the samurai shows, and the chemistry between them being absurd enough to make them both think, "holy shit, i need to see this bastard AGAIN and have crazy sex with them!" but that never happens because johnny invades arasaka and becomes an enengram, and v, who was a mercenary, gets involved with the wrong people and ends up frozen in those machines, and they both reappear in 2077 after the heist goes wrong...

she is sooooooo confused by all this shit that's happening because she just resurfaced fifty years in the future and was in a six-month adaptation period to understand all this, and BOOM, here comes johnny silverhand on a chip inside her head...
