as we all know, default scott’s eyes are blue. but originally, they were brown. and try as i might, i love him with both eye colors. so instead of picking just one, i picked both. yep, from this point forward my scott has heterochromia.

headcanon 001: scott’s eyes

as we all know, default scott’s eyes are blue. but originally, they were brown. and try as i might, i love him with both eye colors. so instead of picking just one, i picked both. yep, from this point forward my scott has heterochromia. 

(there are also different types of heterochromia, and the one he has is referred to as complete heterochromia, meaning both of his eyes are completely separate colors.)

without getting into an impromptu genetics 101 lecture, with alec and ellen both having brown eyes it’s possible for him to have either blue or brown eyes, with blue being more likely (75% chance). plus, there’s this tidbit i found:

benign heterochromia also can occur as the result of a genetic mutation during embryonic development. 

so basically it’s entirely possible for heterochromia to be a side effect of in-utero exposure to eezo. who woulda ever guessed?
