The "girl who was raised to be a weapon" trope is transfem coded and I will be writing a thesis on this to any of my friends who are willing to listen. Please trust me on this.
Imagine a girl who is raised to be something violent and has a role thrust on her where any attempt at gentleness or kindness must be beaten out of her. She must never act according to her own will. She must serve a purpose imposed on her by superiors. If she tries to make connections with others or escape she is punished. And if she does break free she must learn how to be a normal girl despite having this cruelty and trauma ingrained in her. She must learn to smile and love and feel for herself for the first time ever as an adult. This is like a trope I see a fair bit in fiction and it drives me insane when people cannot see it is the most transfem thing ever.
