Starkid Noises Off!

Starkid Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas

Hey it's been a while, hasn't it?

The reason for my absence can be boiled down to an increase in classwork plus being in a musical (I was William Barfee in the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee). But at the moment I am back in the saddle (we'll see how long that lasts) and ready to give you all more dreamcasts. Starkid Jerry Springer The Opera

Jerry! Jerry! Jerry! It's time for the Starkid dreamcast of Jerry Springer the Opera. Probably the strangest show that I've ever seen, there was a lot to cover for this one. For this dreamcast I listened to the OBC (which I have heard previousl) and the OLC (which I hadn't heard before) and decided to base this cast off a combination of the two with the song arrangement and more intimate and french feel of the London production and the double-casting and the lack of actor-muso of the Broadway production.

So as most people probably know if you are interested in Starkid, the Workin' Boys short film is being released soon and Mary Kate Wiles is performing in it so she's now been welcomed in the Starkid Dreamcasting repertoire!

And what better way to welcome her than a starring role in one of those dreamcasts!

(I know Matt Dahan and Paul Gabriel are also in the film but I've decided to wait and see the extend of their parts in the film since they aren't actors by trade)

The casting here was somewhat tricky as to narrow down the Starkids with rock-ish voices and could somewhat pass for teenagers (Jeff Blim in Black Friday showed not every Starkid possessed that skill) but overall I think it turned out pretty well.
