i'd like to clarify that i have no issue with oc x canon or reader x canon in general, i have mutuals who write and read both, it's just not something i'm particularly interested in writing or reading myself, i enjoy fandom ocs but i don't currently have any that i'm doing anything with maybe one day i'll get back into that (a friend has been tinkering with their own fandom oc who i'm obsessed with and it's giving me the itch to make/revive my own) but i won't ever go back to reader fics i've very much grown out of them
