Eventualities are what he fears the most, but he doesn't avoid the topic — or any topic, really. The thought that someone he loves will have to go before him when he would rather go first. He also fears seeing the world perish; being a star, he knows he may outlive it.
🔒 What is a secret they’ve sworn never to tell?
He refuses to go into full detail about some things that happened between him and his father, surrounding a specific incident. But he doesn't completely avoid the subject, if he's comfortable with who he's telling.
💼 What do they always carry with them?
A gold medallion with an obscure red stone in the center. The stone is his father's eye, compressed into something more visually appealing.
⛓️ What does guilt feel like to them?
Debilitating and sickening, like he's sinking into himself and being pulled into the earth.

The death of his first earthly love. More specifically, the pain of him being killed by his twin sister.

When he was struggling with addiction and hurting everyone around him, he could hardly bear to look at himself.

He does, but he doesn't believe many are capable of loving him.

He's unable to get drunk on alcohol! But potions and vampire blood are psychoactive / psychotropic for him. Vampire blood makes him feel as close to drunk as one would with alcohol, but it's an addictive substance for him, so he stays away from it.

🎐 Do they have a sound, like a song or voice, that they associate with peace?
His sister, Kemi's voice, babbling streams, ocean waves, and solar radiation. He can hear the last one quite well, during the summer, so he's usually in higher spirits for this season.
🪢 When was the last time they broke a promise?
At the end of 2024, when he broke off his engagement to his fiancée. He had been stubbornly holding on, as he didn't want to cause her pain, but after coming to terms with never being able to see her again, it was actually a relief. He's happier now.
🧨 What’s the quickest way to set them off, even if they hide it well?
There are a few things. He hides it well, but he absolutely hates when people are evasive with him; he'd rather they just say what they mean. But it depends on how the person evades, as well. If he asks them a question and they just don't answer, he loses his patience rather quickly. But if a person is just hesitant to talk about something and communicates it in some way, he doesn't mind at all. Trying to control him is an even easier way to set him off. Finally, the biggest one would be to try to belittle or humiliate him.

This is mostly verse-specific, but if it's across all verses, there are two: Kemi and his baby star.

To Star, home is where all the love within him can comfortably overflow. It's where his heart is most open and most calm. It's where he doesn't have to be afraid of burning too brightly, whether it be with a person or a place.

🕊 When did they feel the safest?
Paradoxically, he felt safest when he was homeless and looking for his mother. At that time, he had first come to Japan and had no one to rely on, until he met a close friend who helped him 'get on his feet', so to speak. It was one of the happiest points in his life, because he truly felt free.

Nope! He has never given up on any of his dreams or goals. Unfortunately, that's the cause for many of the painful experiences in his life.
🪶 How do they laugh?
He has a couple of laughs! If he's having a little laugh with friends, it's very rapid, soft chortle. It starts off a bit high and descends in pitch. But if it's unabashed, uncontrolled, belly-aching laughter, his laugh is really high-pitched and chirpy. I mean really high-pitched, like a dolphin. However, despite how carefree he often seems, he doesn't smile or laugh very much (with exception to a couple of verses).
