First try at making little clay miniatures from a cleaned out gummy tray. The trays have thr shapes of different characters and originally held some apple gummies. He came out well, but I had to freeze him for a bit in order to get him out of the plastic tray intact.

hello once more anpanman fandom of 5 or so pepole! i wanna ask a question to you guys!

what are you guys's favorites anpanman songs?

its a hard pick for me but some of my favs are "ikuzo baikinman" "nani no tame ni tobu" "tobe! currypanman" and the 99 movie ver of "yuuki no hana ga hiraku toki"

im curious to know yours! bai baikin!

I can't remember the exact names, but I really enjoy "Zukkoke! Baikinman" and one of Rollpanna's songs, I think it translates to "Two Hearts". There's also a character song for Omusubiman I really like, but I can't find it...

every time the anpanman march is sung in-scene i wonder if anpanman has any thoughts at all about it. he's too shy for performing himself but it seems he's okay with people regularly singing songs about how its ok to be sad just keep goin' cause it's nice to be alive anpanman!! they sing them all the time too. every festival, most parties, in school... most likely he's thinking 'oh im glad i can make everyone feel happy and safe' but still. the in-world cultural impact of a bread homunculus who doesn't seem to have hobbies

Man I wish that the Dream Cats movie or Twin Stars movie got an english dub... Ive actually been having a good time with it, no matter how strange some of the voice choices are.

Apple Boy’s Hometown Island

This place is probably one of my favorite floating castle/planets I’ve seen so far besides Princess Kirara’s Castle/Planet and the weird Dyson Sphere planet  from Kokorin to Kiseki no Hoshi.

We barely get to see this place in the movie, but there’s so much going on aesthetically. It’s strange and gorgeous, and it’s what I like a lot about most settings in Anpanman. I wish I could ask though: Why dinosaurs?

Gotta say, Anpanman and Apple Boy’s voice acting in that movie (And the animation) was really good. Anpanman’s deliveries are a lot more... tender sounding? If that makes sense. He sounds very sweet and heartfelt. 

Also I like the apple barrier attack he learns. Putting that up there with Starlight Anpunch in ‘rare Anpanman attacks’

why does rollpanna’s english dub in star-spirited dollie sound just off of the tik-tok lady’s text to speech voice

didn’t even think to post this on my actual blog where i talk about the bread show. anyway I think so many of the choices in voice acting are baffling and so are the random switches of voice actor. In the Princess Vanilla movie Shokupanman will have a very fitting normal guy voice and in the Apple Boy movie he’ll have a goofy high pitched kinda voice. In Dollie’s movie Rollpanna sounds so, so weird, and then in Kulun’s movie she has an almost, Meta Knight-esque dub? And Melonpanna just sounds like a grown woman? And Kokinchan’s voice is awful. It’s just bad, like someone doing a really bad mickey mouse impression, which is sad cause I like her.

I will say though, I really love Baikinman/Dokinchan/Horrorman’s voices, and I like Creampanda’s voice a lot too, they really capture the tone of indignant kid. Anpanman’s is good too, though weirdly stilted sometimes? But the stilted nature is kind of fitting and charming for him.

I’m having a good time watching the dubs though, they’re all on Dailymotion, posted by “Beanbun Paradise”.
