I do headcanon that the more Astarion feels accepted by his partner, his grins and laughs become more "fangy". He doesn't have to hide the fangs as he's accepted just the way he is. He stops seeing himself as a monster.

Listen, I have over a hundred hours in BG3 and I still have no idea what any of the tadfools were doing when they were taken. So if there is a scene in the game where you figure it out, do tell me because as of now I am perfectly content with thinking that Gale was munching some pasta and a tentacle just reached through his window and yoinked him.

Bloodweave is the love of my life because Astarion would shank someone who so much as looks at Gale the wrong way and Gale would fireball everyone who’s ever hurt Astarion in a heartbeat if he asked.
