Itās not overwhelming. It just takes more time and energy. Thatās different. Introverted is⦠closer.
I like astronomy. I actually work at an observatory. Space is easier to understand than people. Itās predictable. If you know the variables, you can calculate what something is going to do years in advance.
Planets donāt suddenly change how they behave. If something changes, thereās a reason you can identify.
People arenāt like that. The same input doesnāt always produce the same output. They change their responses without clear patterns. Or the patterns are there, but theyāre⦠harder to isolate. ā Adam.
Selective with who and what are worthy of your limited time and energy, then. Fair enough. Not everyone is worthy of it, and I'm not the type to pretend to give a fuck unless I mean it either.
I personally find space a lot more difficult to understand, but you're the scientist out of the two of us. Constance and predictability as control. There's a security in that I can appreciate. God knows my former profession was volatile as all hell. Exciting, but just as unstable.
Psychology is something of a science, if you think about it. Just more abstract. People don't suddenly change how they behave either unless there's a reason, even if that reason's harder to figure out. There are rules and patterns, but most of it is dependent on the person and constantly adapting. You learn to adapt to it in turn. I imagine you'd find that mental labour unpleasant.
How about you tell me about space, and if you ever need help dealing with people, you talk to me? I'm pretty good with my words. And my fists.
