one thing I will NEVER be over is how thematic the royal guards are, and how they're dedicated to different versions of Meruem. they technically have the same goal, but they go about it in different ways matching their unique values.

Youpi followed what he knew and believed, and made his decisions based on that and nothing beyond. Pouf followed what was best for his idealized version of Meruem, only taking actions that led to the goal of the king. Pitou followed what Meruem himself wanted, even if it strayed from what the king should be doing.

a brilliant way this is showcased is when the castle is under attack and Meruem goes off with Netero. Pitou stays behind to heal and protect Komugi, because that's what Meruem asked them to do. Meanwhile, both Pouf and Youpi end up chasing after him and revive him. Pouf makes sure to not let Meruem remember Komugi, because forgetting her is essential to becoming the perfect king.
