No. Trans women do not oppress trans men, neither do trans men oppress trans women.
TRFs, i mean the group, which is not limited to trans women, is another story. I would argue they are oppressors, yes.
Simply because they go out of their way to make it harder for trans men to find community, support and resources, by constantly harassing, threatening, and making trans men feel unwelcome and unsafe in spaces that should be their safe space.
Maybe "Oppressor" is not the right word. But if you are going out of your way to make situations harder for an oppressed group of people, I would say you are closer to an oppressor than to an ally or even a peer.
Don't take my opinion for granted, this is just what i think.
I don't believe transandrophobes are just a "loud minority" because if that was the case transandrophobia would not be so normalized and rampant in queer spaces.
I also think that people who keep saying that are just lying to themselves because they prefer to believe a lie than face reality.
I also don't believe queer spaces really support trans men until you all start holding bigots accountable and stop tolerating them just because they happen to be queer.
somebody apparently tried to get the Wikipedia page for discrimination against trans men deleted entirely because of the use of the word "transandrophobia". y'all are part of a fucking extremist hate group at this point. it's pride month and the government is killing us and you're actively trying to destroy documentation about trans people's discrimination? really? how fucking evil do you have to be to do this shit?
can we finally admit that these anti-transmasc people are part of a hate group? can we finally address this fucking problem and acknowledge it exists?
I'm so so so so so beyond done being nice but i know that if I'm not nice, it'll be weaponized against me ten fold compared to the people who have abused me into such a state of being. they can do all of this shit to us, but if we give even a tiny fraction of that energy back to them, oh well that's too far. a lot of trans men theoretically agree with feminism but never unpacked their internalized self hatred which is why they are so uncomfortable with trans men who actually have a self esteem. its a painful reminder of how much they are killing themselves for the approval of others
At this point I view the use of the term “TWERF” as a dog whistle/indicator of anti-transmasculine beliefs because it relies on the false notion that there is the existence of Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminists that include trans men/mascs in their radical feminism while excluding trans women/fems. No, it is not “inclusion” to misgender us as poor wombanly wombyn they need to rescue from “gender ideology”, just because they say they’re totally pro our rights (just while actively taking away our ability to transition and present as ourselves). Is it “inclusion” when TERFs sort transfems into the “man” group, because they personally believe them to be men? No? Then why is it considered so when we are sorted into the “women” group? We are both fundamentally denied our actual identity in pursuit of the cisgender binary, or in other terms, “excluded” from their version of radical feminism. Coincidentally, this is also why radical feminism can never be redeemed as a movement when trans inclusionary, because as it turns out splitting the world’s population into half and projecting a unified view of gender dynamics into each arbitrary group in ignorance of the reality subgroups within each face is Bad, Actually, even if you shuffle around where you put (ostensively binary) trans people in the mix.

if the acknowledgement of my past and how it has shaped me is enough to delegitimize my transsexual identity then delusion is a requirement to be accepted. i reject that entirely. i am a man of the female experience and i believe that to be holy. the people who partake in harmless gender aberration should not be the ones being cruel about this, but they are, what has this community come to?
Why are so many of you on this site more willing to align yourselves with cis male MRAs than with transmasc feminists, while calling yourselves "transfeminists"?
You eat up all their talking points. You say that pedophiles aren't real and age of consent laws are wrong. You fearmonger about babytrapping in response to people with uteruses who are afraid of dying due to abortion bans, and then call those things equivalent. You equate circumcision with FGM. (I am against both, but the former is NOT equivalent to the latter). You insult trans men with slurs referring to their genitals and call them bitches and cunts. You fearmonger about "men" who are "invading women's spaces," except instead of trans women, you mean trans men.
You aren't acting like trans feminists, or any kind of feminists at all. You're acting like MRAs. Why are you doing this? You aren't transfeminists. You aren't pro-anything, even pro-trans woman. You're solely anti-trans man.
I found out today that there was a (thankfully very ill-fated) attempt to have the entire Wikipedia article on discrimination against transgender men deleted. At first I thought the perpetrator was yet another bargain bin transphobe/TERF act of disruption but apparently not so, she is a trans woman. The user in question had been disputing the use of transandrophobia in the article as being inappropriate, but as other editors pointed out, the way in which it was used was as to be expected (basically saying “hey this term is being used commonly right now in places to describe this phenomena”). When attempts to get the article edited to remove any mention of the term failed, this user instead decided to just nominate the whole article for deletion instead. She even went as far as to say “you will never be a man” to the editors disputing this, though it was quickly deleted. It’s the actions of only a single person, but I find this indicative of how the chronic devaluing and othering of transmasculine people and voices in faux-transfeminist spaces leads to action basically indistinguishable from cis transphobes. Resorting to attempted vandalism of an online resource and blatant transphobia is a symptom of this trend that deserves absolutely no patience at this point.

framing trans infighting on this website as “both sides” arguing about who has it worse is so disingenuous it’s actually infuriating. i have a blocklist literally thousands of blogs long and i still can’t go a single day on here without seeing someone go on and on about how privileged trans men are and how trans men are actually benefiting from the patriarchy and oppressing trans women. meanwhile, i can count on my fingers the number of times i’ve seen a trans man argue the opposite. the only people who DO consistently make that argument are cis TERFs, yet for some reason it’s being attributed to “transandrobros” instead.
the vast, VAST majority of people who talk about transandrophobia are in agreement that playing oppression olympics is fucking stupid and unhelpful, but nobody listens because they keep getting talked over and silenced and gaslit about their experiences.
if you want people to stop arguing about who has it worse you can help by defending and standing with the trans men and mascs who have been saying exactly that this entire fucking time. when you try to “both sides” the discourse you’re just contributing to the cycle of speaking over and erasing the experiences trans men/mascs, because you’re refusing to engage with what the overwhelming majority have actually been saying in favor of giving legitimacy to the strawman of the “transandrobro” that has been invented for the exact purpose of fueling the discourse.
