"Lord DIO?" Nukesaku poked his head into the room, unbeating heart frantic in his chest. "Are... are you in here?" Oh, he shouldn't be in here. He shouldn't be bothering him! (themansionsidiot)
@themansionsidiot
Dio tips his head upwards from where he sits in the murky darkness of the room, silently. He doesn’t answer Nukesaku immediately, letting him peer around and simply observing. Dio doesn’t feel threatened in the slightest because he’s well aware that his underlings either fear him or respect him-- it matters not which as they are just the same. Still, this is a curiosity-- his vampire underling rarely went out of the way to bother him.
He can see his nerves because he’s perceptive. Dio likes to believe he hasn’t given him reason to be afraid yet-- and so this time he shifts more audibly in his seat.
It surprises Josuke just a bit when Aya approached him with that of all things. He couldn’t say it wasn’t strange for him as well, suddenly having these people he’d thought were gone forever back alive and able to speak to him. It’d been almost ten years now, right?
He hadn’t been expecting to see anyone on his way home-- he hadn’t even had the time to change out of his uniform into plain clothes yet.
“You know you don’t have to apologize, right?” Josuke’s voice is level. Soothing, almost-- another thing he’s learned from years of working as an EMT. How to stay calm and try and help keep others calm. “None of what happened was your fault. I almost want to apologize to you, you know? You came face to face with that... murderer all by yourself and nobody was around to help when you needed it.”
Joseph knew it was perhaps a bit irresponsible of him to be out in mainland Italy when he should have been training, but... well, they had needed to bring food to the private island at some point and he’d been training most of the morning. Being working constantly like this was driving him up the wall, so of course he’d leapt at the chance to sneak off on the boat to stock up.
He stretched massively as soon as his feet were on solid ground, excited to have probably an hour just to himself to go and do whatever he wanted while they packed the items back onto the boat. And fingers crossed, he wouldn’t get yelled at for sneaking off. (That was probably wishful thinking.)
.... Still, though, this did pose a problem... Joseph definitely didn’t speak Italian, and Caesar had shown no interest in sneaking off with him so that option had been out of the question so...
He had taken up a perch at a small restaurant on the shoreline, head propped in his hands and asking whomever passed by if they’d mind pointing him toward a store or something. Anything, really, he just wanted to waste a bit of time. All work and no play made Joseph Joestar a dull boy.
He caught sight of a young woman, and he had his fingers crossed she’d perhaps be able to help him out. He jogged up to her, giving her a smile behind the mask obscuring his face without realizing it would be pointless.
He was tired. Kakyoin knew that it was normal, but he couldn’t help but to still be a bit frustrated with it because it was starting to feel like he’d never quite be able to feel fully back to normal. It was understandable-- he was fresh off his extended hospital stay and this was all of his third day returning to his normal life.
Emotionally and physically tired-- mostly the latter though. He’d yet to get an actual, appropriate wheelchair tailored to him, and being stuck with the one he’d left the hospital in was exhausting trying to maneuver around in for hours during the school day. He’d had to stop along the side of the road on his way home just to catch his breath because his arms were burning under the strain of doing this for the past couple of days.
||I apologize for having to ask but please be patient with me for just a little while longer on those starters/responses. Something came up IRL and it looks like I won’t be able to get to them until tomorrow at the earliest...||
||Going to be off working on some stuff for another blog for a little bit and maybe making some icons? But feel free to drop me a message if you need to and I’ll come back a bit later this evening.||
More information on post-canon Kak! (Spoiler warning ofc, for those who need it, and tw for some mentions of violence and injury in medical terms) This is mostly for my OWN reference but feel free to read it if you’re curious about him!
Note that this is mostly for my own reference, but feel free to read it and the information if you’d like to know.
Kakyoin’s injuries sustained in his fight with Dio were nearly fatal, and required extensive surgery and physical therapy in order for him to live-- even still he lost use of his legs and suffered severe mental trauma. This is a run-down of the after effects of the battle in-detail.
The most notable is the injury to his spinal column. The injury broke his spine and came close to severing the spinal completely though it was still left partially in-tact but extremely damaged. The spine had to be partially reconstructed in order to allow Kakyoin to be able to sit upright. The injury was in the lumbar area of his spine, just below the end of the ribs.
Because of his spinal injury, Kakyoin has “incomplete paraplegia”, and can’t feel most things from his hips down. Because the spine wasn’t fully severed, he can still sometimes feel pressure against his skin and uncomfortable pins-and-needles feelings in his hips, but little more than that. His muscles in his hips will also sometimes twitch. He is not able to walk or bend his legs, but he is capable of some hip movement, and balancing himself upright. He requires the use of a wheelchair to move, though he has had some mild success using Hierophant Green to move himself around for short periods of time. It’s extremely tiring to do so in the same way it would be for him to drag himself around using his own arms-- it’s very much like having to drag the dead weight of his legs.
Hierophant’s abilities haven’t been impacted by the injuries to Kakyoin’s physical body.
Kakyoin often wears sweaters and thick pants because his body isn’t capable of regulating the temperature of his legs anymore. He should probably opt for lighter clothes in warmer climates, but Kakyoin is just as stubborn about it as he was about his uniform as a teenager.
There was organ damage, notably to his stomach, liver, and intestines, which necessitated surgeries to mend the damage to his stomach and intestines and an entire Liver transplant.
Kakyoin was under medical observance for several months, and had to be brought back under for three additional surgeries as they fought his injuries and tried to stabilize him. For the first several weeks in the hospital, Kakyoin was in a medically induced coma, and it seemed unlikely he would survive. He would, eventually, wake up, and discover the loss of the use of his legs.
After waking up, Kakyoin suffered from a pretty severe depressive spell while he came to terms with his injuries and the fact he would likely never walk again. Since the Speedwagon Foundation were in charge of his care, they were able to provide both emotional support for him. He’s still got problems, but he’s better equipped to handle them than someone like, say, Jotaro, who didn’t seek any help.
Physical therapy did help him to recover the mobility in his hips and some feeling, but it was pretty quickly apparent that Kakyoin would have to rely on a wheelchair. He eventually was stable enough to be released and finish highschool, though it was after
Kakyoin still has to take immunosuppresants and immunosuppresant support drugs in order to help prevent rejection of the replaced organ, which puts him at a higher risk of infections and disease. He also has been prescribed anti-depressants for an issue that was already present before his injuries, but worsened after-the-fact.

Hair: Mid-length black hair which has parts which are bleached and dyed a bright green. She styles her hair into two buns with a braid wrapping around each and then feeding into a larger braid at the back of her head.
Eyes: Green
Height: 5'7" or 174 cm
Weight: 128 lbs or 58 kg
Body Structure: Jolyne is thin and curvy, he strength is mainly focused in her upper body. He’s petite, and her strength doesn’t show outwardly as much as it does in some of her relatives.
Posture: Jolyne has a relaxed posture, usually choosing to sit comfortably and fill the space that she can.
Distinguishing Features: Jolyne has a tattoo on her left forearm of a dagger with butterfly wings on either side. Star shaped birthmark on her left shoulder.
Mental
Jolyne was told most of her teenage life that she was a lost cause– that there was no hope of her improving as a person, and so she grew rather bitter towards her elders for not doing anything to intervene when she was in trouble. Unable to see stands meant that she was unable to understand why Jotaro, her father, wasn’t more present in her life, and she does hold a great deal of resentment toward him even if they are on speaking terms now that she’s an adult.
Jolyne is used to being kicked when she’s down, and more often than not her kindness has been repayed with being stabbed in the back, so she’s grown to be pretty ruthless to the people who aim to hurt her. That’s not to say she’s mean, though, she’s very loyal and kind toward friends. While she’s outspoken and confrontational, Jolyne does doubt herself a lot, and often beats herself up for mistakes that are just human.
She’s not afraid to speak her mind freely, even if that thought isn’t particularly couth, and still is very much a young woman– she wants to have fun and spend time with the people she cares about even if she is trapped in prison at the moment.
Biography
Jolyne’s upbringing was rather rough. Her mother and father’s marriage was rather loveless from the time she was born, and she would eventually live with her mother after the two of them split. Thanks to both Jotaro’s job as a marine biologist and his involvement with stands, Jolyne spent much of her life believing he didn’t actually care about her– something which only worsened when she would later find herself in trouble with the law repeatedly and Jotaro refused to intervene.
Jolyne wasn’t a delinquent, initially, but after being wrongly forced into juvenile detention, she just sort of accepted that fact was true whether she wanted it to be or not, and decided to live that life to the fullest. She wound up joining a motorcycle gang. Eventually, though, she would once again realize she wasn’t cut out for that life and attempt to return to a normal life. Unfortunately, a poor choice in relationship meant Jolyne would be framed for DUI hit and run and she would be sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Hair: Silver, short hair with slightly longer bangs in the front. Often covered with a hat with baubles on the ends.
Eyes: Red with black sclera.
Height: 6'0" or 185 cms
Weight: 215 lbs or 98 kg
Body Structure: Risotto is top heavy– his arms, torso and shoulders are extremely well built, and the lower half of his body is a bit slimmer. His legs are well defined, but not as thick or muscular as the upper half of his body.
Posture: Risotto is imposing, tending to loom when he stands. When he sits he sits comfortably, often crossing his legs. It’s easy to underestimate his size before he stands up.
Distinguishing Features: Dark scleras are a tattoo. Otherwise Risotto has pretty numerous scars on his flesh from his many years of work in Passione’s execution team.
Mental
Risotto is a pretty serious person, though if you strike him in the right mood and are close to him he does have a bit of a dry sense of humor. He’s very desensitized to violence having been up-close and personal to it for so long. He’s a goal driven individual who is methodical and analytical before he makes his move, trying to ensure that he can strike with deadly accuracy and to keep his head on his shoulders.
He’s a particularly cool person– rarely showing outward emotion. Regardless, Risotto still cares deeply about the rest of the execution team, and takes Sorbet and Gelato’s deaths to heart. Especially with his teammates he may come across as a spoil-sport, but Risotto knowing that they’re deserters does his best to make sure that they’re not drawing undue attention for their own safety. He trusts his men, and thinks they’re all very competent even if they sometimes might act like children.
Outside of battle, he’s a very relaxed person. Not so much in the sense of letting his guard down, but he’s forgiving and down-to-earth. He realizes that humans make human mistakes, and so long as those actions don’t bring harm to anyone he’s typically lenient about it. He’s not nearly as heartless as he may come across as.
Biography
Risotto was drug into Passione after killing the drunk driver that caused the accident that killed his young cousin. Risotto still struggles to forgive himself for not being better able to protect his baby cousin, and he doesn’t talk about the accident itself to anyone outside of the rare visits he makes to his family. He greatly prefers to leave his family uninvolved in his life because what he does is so dangerous.
From the age of 18 until he was 21, Risotto didn’t yet have his stand, and most of his own gang involvement was assassinations by hand. It wasn’t until he was asked to join passione that he gained Metallica that he gained the ability for more remote assassination. He reached status of Capo for the assassination group rather quickly considering his cold determination and his ability to detach himself from the violence of his work, and the assassination team was formed.
All seemed well for a while until the realization dawned on Risotto and the rest of his gang that Passione were not allowing them to move up and actually take on duties the way that the rest of the Capos in Passione did. He wasn’t assigned territory nor was he given the sort of finances that the other teams were afforded.
It took his team a while, but as a whole they grew dissatisfied with their treatment and decided to take action against the boss of Passione by revealing his identity– if nothing else than to make a statement that they wouldn’t accept that sort of treatment any longer. However, this would lead to the deaths of two team members, the couple Sorbet and Gelato. Risotto, unable to forgive himself for growing careless and allowing their deaths to come about by not treading carefully. He still seeks to gain leverage against the leader of Passione, though his whole team have now been branded traitors, so he must do so carefully…

Full Name: Bruno Buccellati (I know that isn’t how the anime spells it but I am not looking I do not see it.)
Gender: Demi Boy - He/Him or They/Them pronouns
Sexuality: Pansexual - strong lean toward males.
Age: 20
Birthday: September 30th, 1981
Physical
Hair: Black, bobbed haircut with straight cut bangs. Nearly always has a pair of golden hair clips in his hair and a braid on the crown of his head.
Eyes: Blue
Height: 5'8" or 178 cm.
Weight: 142 lbs or 64 kgs
Body Structure: Bruno is thin, and his smaller stature belies that he’s actually quite strong. His limbs are pretty thin, and he has very delicate fingers.
Posture: Bruno stands relaxedly, and often puts more weight on one leg than the other. He stands pigeon-toed most of the time, and sometimes will stumble over his own feet because of it.
Distinguishing Features: Bruno has a tattoo around his middle which wraps around and up his chest and extends across part of his back.
Mental
Bruno is compassionate, putting his own life at risk to keep his friends and innocent civilians safe from the gang in which he participates. Even after years of less-than-legal dealings, Bruno’s motives and sense of right have held fast. While he thinks adults are free to do as they please and live their lives however they like, Bruno is firmly against the drug trade Passione participates in because it harms children.
When push comes to shove, though, Bruno is an outright brutal fighter with a level head and no fear of death. You certainly don’t want to be the subject of his ire. Buccellati would walk to the ends of the earth for his goals and the people he loves.
Biography
Bruno was born in Naples, son of a long line of fishermen. His home life was relatively happy, and even though his parents would eventually split, Bruno was allowed to decide for himself where he would stay, and he chose to stay with his father, unwilling to leave his father alone.
Bruno’s father also wanted to move into the city, however his was because he wanted for Bruno to receive and education and to be successful in life. He wanted for Bruno to be able to move beyond just being a fisherman. He wouldn’t be able to see this to fruition though, as he wound up accidentally caught up in gang drug trade and shot. While he survived the shots, the Buccellati was infuriated at the attack on his father and wound up killing both of the gangsters who attacked his father when they attempted to show up and end his life.
Without another option, and knowing the police wouldn’t be capable of offering him protection from retaliation, Bruno accepted the offer to join Passione’s ranks in trade for protection for him as his family. Bruno’s father only lived for just under 5 years after the incident before dying from the complications without ever seeing the world outside the hospital again. Bruno didn’t see his family again after joining Passione.
Bruno wasn’t particularly happy about joining Passione, and less so when he discovered Passione’s dealings in drugs as well. He would eventually go on to build his team, however, seeking to help those that he could using his position.
Sexuality: Demiromantic and primarily attracted to men.
Age: 20 - 27 depending on time of thread
Birthday: February 16th, 1979.
Physical
Hair: Undercut, dyed a dark teal and kept out of his face using a headband.
Eyes: Green
Height: 5'6" or 167 cm
Weight: 131 lbs or 59 kg
Body Structure: Rohan is lithe and fairly petite. His figure is pretty soft overall, and while he’s not particularly curvy, his waist tapers in. He’s decently toned.
Posture: Raihan paints an intimidating picture despite being petite, and often stands straight and looks down his nose at people. He takes up space, and is never comfortable squishing himself in to make room for other people.
Distinguishing Features: Not many. He has a couple of small scars on his shoulders and back from when Josuke dumped his bookcase on him. His fingers also are a bit calloused and scarred from his work and places where he had mishaps trimming screentone. None of them are fresh, as his work process has been significantly streamlined with the help of heavens door. A childhood rib injury sometimes causes him pain on his left side, though there’s no outwardly visible scars because the break wasn’t bad enough to warrant surgery.
Mental
Rohan is a dedicated and passionate person when it comes to his work, and little else in his life brings him that level of joy. He may have grown out of using Heaven’s door to steal people’s memories after turning them into books, but he still displays a pretty blatant disregard for social norms in the pursuit of his storytelling. Rohan is a pretty skeptical, realistic sort of person though he often seek adventure anywhere that it might be, just in case. He doesn’t consider himself the superstitious sort despite having come face-to-face with a ghost. Beyond that he’s a bit of a collector– he likes to collect movie memorabilia, music memorabilia, manga, outfits, and experiences alike.
Despite having some very human hobbies and interests, Raihan is anything but approachable. While he’s not typically outright cruel with fans of his manga, when it comes to everyone else he’s pretty arrogant and impolite, and regularly goes against their wishes simply for curiosity’s sake. He has a very low tolerance for social interaction, and has a bad habit of looking down on others. That being said, Rohan has a hard time actually letting harm come to other people through inaction, so when worse comes to worse he’s a fairly reliable person even if he’s got an abrasive personality.
Biography
Rohan barely remembers it because he was young and the event was traumatic, but at the age of 4, he was saved from serial killer Yoshikage Kira by his babysitter Reimi at the cost of her own life. Aside from that traumatic event, Rohan had a relatively happy and well-off childhood.
Rohan began writing his manga, Pink Dark Boy, at age 16, and was already a well recognized household name by his early 20s. Rohan was not born with a stand, but when he moved back to his home town of Morioh he was shot by Keicho Nijimura and developed one. While his stand didn’t have a physical form at first, Rohan was able to make books out of anyone who saw his manga manuscripts, and used this to attack Koichi and Hazamada when they stopped to visit his home, seeking to use their memories as material for Pink Dark Boy. That thought was quickly put to rest when Josuke beat the shit out of him.
After a month in the hospital, he comes to develop something of a friendship with Koichi, where they discover the Ghost Alley and are informed by Reimi (whom Rohan doesn’t recognize to begin with) that there is a murderer in Morioh. This suspicion is later confirmed with the death of Shigechi. Eventually, it is Rohan’s idea to capture photographs in search of odd behavior that would lead them to discover Kosaku and Hayato Kawajiri, and his idea to speak to Hayato on his way to school.
Rohan has no memory or knowledge of his own death at Kira’s hands due to bites the dust, and so far as he is aware, Kira died during Rohan’s first direct encounter with him after being hit with an ambulance.

Sexuality: Gay (Mostly Closeted except for those he’s very close with)
Age: 26 in his main verse. (Or 16 for his canon concurrent verse.)
Birthday: June 15th, 1983.
Physical
Hair: Black hair which is cut to be longer on the top to keep his pompadour style. He typically never wears it down unless it’s in a private setting.
Eyes: Blue
Height: 5'9" or 180 cm
Weight: 181 lbs or 82 kg
Body Structure: Josuke is relatively curvy compared to other members of the Joestar family– Broad chest, narrow waist, and broad hips.
Posture: Josuke stands up straight and confidently, and walks with a bit of sway in his step. He’s tall, but seems to radiate an approachable aura.
Distinguishing Features: His body has several scars– notably a large one in his side and in his leg. It’s not visible, but his shoulders also have a persistent ache from injuries he’s sustained in the past, and some heat is usually enough to alleviate them. Star shaped birthmark on his left shoulder.
Mental
Josuke is a very confident and cheerful person, and despite always having had a bit of a reputation of looking like a delinquent, he’s got just as much of a reputation of being a gentle giant since finishing his EMT training and actually going out and helping the Morioh community as a whole.
He has matured quite a bit– less invested in things like get-rich-quick schemes and crushes and more with being a good human and taking care of the people and things he cares about. He’s still passionate about music and fashion, and still loves to spend time with his friends. His temper has stuck with him though.
While he’s nowhere near as bad as Jotaro is, he still has some uneasy feelings towards what happened when he was a teenager, and the thought that he had to watch people around him die makes him feel sick. Thankfully, Jotaro seemed to have more foresight with Josuke than he had with himself, and urge him to seek therapy, which did very well for him recovering with healthy coping mechanisms.
Thanks to his line of work, Josuke has developed his ability to remain level-headed in an emergency even further, and has become a very competent Emergency Medical Tech.
Biography
Josuke was raised by his mother, Tomoko, and his maternal Grandfather alone, with nearly no intervention from his father’s side of the family. He came down with a terrible fever in 1988 which nearly claimed his life (which coincided with the Jotaro and Joseph going to fight Dio), and where he saw the mysterious man who intervened in the middle of a blizzard to assist his Mother to transport him to the hospital. He survived the ordeal, eventually, and that was when his stand awoke.
It took Josuke a few years to figure out what his stand was capable of, but once he did he explored just how far he could use this power by using it to fix things he broke and maybe just a little to stir up trouble for other students who got on his bad side. He had to learn about the fact he couldn’t heal himself, though, from a nasty broken arm when he was 10. Otherwise, Josuke thought of his stand as a relatively normal thing even if no one else could see it– seeing Crazy Diamond as something of a partner in crime.
Josuke met with Jotaro Kujo during his first week of highschool, and while he was hesitant to speak to him at first because he really didn't want to be involved with his dad’s family at all, he eventually was forced to listen when the danger made itself clear and causing the death of Josuke’s Grandfather, Ryohei. Josuke agrees to help Jotaro find the bow and Arrow– something that becomes an ordeal in itself, and leads to Josuke and many of his friends stumbling across the reality of there being a murderer in Morioh– Yoshikage Kira.
Kira was defeated eventually, but not without loss of life. Not to mention it had spelled an extended stay in the hospital for Josuke as well. Before his departure, Jotaro encourage him to seek therapy to ensure all is well, and Josuke decides to follow that advice.
Otherwise, the rest of his time in highschool was relatively uneventful– mostly spent deciding what he wanted to do with his life. Still wanting to keep his vow to his grandfather to protect Morioh and with the knowledge that he could use his stand to help, Josuke eventually decides he’s best suited to be and EMT. While he was admittedly nervous to be around panic all day every day, Josuke found himself very capable of keeping calm in the face of emergency thanks to his experiences during 1999, and to date it’s the job he’s been working on. He has yet to get his Paramedic’s license, but that’s his next goal.
Verses
Main verse - post canon. Josuke is a grown adult, now, and works as an EMT. Still very close to his friends despite his busy schedule.

Gender: Nonbinary/Genderfluid - He/Him or They/Them pronouns
Sexuality: Demiromantic Demisexual.
Age: 17 or 26~32 depending on verse.
Birthday: July 24th, 1971.
Physical
Hair: Bright red.
Eyes: Grey
Height: 5'8" or 178 cm
Weight: 143 lbs or 65 kg
Body Structure: Fairly slim, especially compared to his travel companions. His muscular structure is divided pretty evenly throughout his body. His legs are long compared to his torso and arms.
Posture: Graceful. Kakyoin is confident but reserved, and often sits and stands with his body closed off by crossing his arms or legs.
Distinguishing Features: Depends on verse– he has scars over both of his eyes and a large area of scarred flesh in the center of his torso. If it’s a post SDC verse, Kakyoin has no use of his legs, and is wheelchair-bound.
Mental
Kakyoin is enigmatic simply because he’s quiet. For most of his life, Kakyoin has never let anyone in particularly close to him because he’s never been able to relate to someone without a stand. Still, despite his isolation from people, Kakyoin’s still a pretty average teenager– he is concerned about his grades, joking around with his friends, and killing that Vampire bastard who put him under mind control.
… Okay, maybe not that normal of a teenager. He does have a really strong sense of right and wrong, and he’s rather pissed off that Dio manipulated him and took advantage of him to try and hurt people. And Kakyoin might not look like it, but he’s rather unforgiving, and he’s not willing to take shit from anyone friend or foe. He’s also a pretty good strategist– he’s had Hierophant for most of his life so he’s very familiar with his own capabilities and how he can use them in a variety of ways to turn the tides in his favor.
In certain verses, Kakyoin survived the attack Dio made, though narrowly. In these universes he also suffers pretty severely from PTSD. It’s hard not to when you come that close to death. He clams up when people try to talk to him, and he’s been in therapy to try and work through it thanks to the gentle insistence of the Speedwagon Foundation.
Despite the hardship he’s faced in light of that, he’s actually matured quite a lot. Even though it was traumatic, finding people with similar abilities as him has helped him learn how to open up to people without stands. So long as he’s in a good headspace, he’s a fun, lively person to be around who’s got a bit of a silver tongue. Despite being disabled, he’s also not really hurting due to it. Sure there are days when he misses being able to do certain things, but he’s adapted and is able to live happily and significantly more well adjusted than some of his friends who survived.
Biography
Kakyoin was a born stand user– something quite rare, and being born with Hierophant had it’s ups and downs. Kakyoin grew up viewing his stand as something of a best-friend, though it made it very hard for him to open up to people who couldn’t even see his best friend. He didn’t think he was suffering, really, and he excelled in his studies and remained to himself for most of his schooling.
It was during a family trip to Egypt that Kakyoin had his run-in with Dio and had a flesh bud implanted into him, and that fleshbud would drive him to fight Jotaro when he returned to Japan. Had Jotaro not been fast enough to take that bud out of him, it’s likely that would have been the death of him. Honestly Kakyoin isn’t sure why he jumped at the chance to travel with them– it might have been that he’d finally found someone who could see Hierophant, or it might have been that he’d found someone who’d gone out of the way to save his life, but he found himself following anyway.
The travel is an ordeal, of course, but he can’t say there wasn’t also moments of fun and appreciation mixed in between the moments of adrenaline and fear.
In his post canon verse, Kakyoin survived the fight with Dio– barely. When he woke up again weeks later, Kakyoin could hardly remember anything that happened before he fainted, and he doesn’t even remember piecing together what Dio’s stand did. He was trapped in the hospital for several months after coming out of his coma, and had to learn how to live and maneuver without the use of the lower half of his body, as well as how to manifest Hierophant and use him again as well. Thankfully his stand seems to be just as capable as it had been even though Kakyoin himself is now confined to a wheelchair in order to move.
The event was deeply traumatic, but Kakyoin never blamed the Joestar family– after all, he’d been the one to decide to tag along with them. He’s extremely grateful to the Speedwagon foundation for insisting he remain in the hospital for as long as he did, as well as get physical and psychological therapy to adjust to his paralyzation.
He finished highschool, though it was a couple of years behind his peers because of his recovery time. Once he had a degree, he was offered a position at the Speedwagon foundation where he would have the opportunity to work with people who both had stands and those who didn’t but were aware of them. Thankfully his position gives him the freedom to choose if he’d like to work in an office setting or if he’d like to travel and use his stand to help the research crews in field.
