Ever wondered why Fang Runin died by Yin Nezha's hands?
I have a very serious theory on why Runin died by Nezha's hands in "The Poppy War" trilogy. It's simple because she has Tearza's fate. Died mysteriously by her lover's hands. I have few reasons that drew me to this conclusion that the wheel of time always clicks back. The past always return. It's the same story but with different character.
Fang Runin was the last of her kind. She was the last Speerly and wanted to live. Runin just wanted to live. There was no other way to put it. She didn't want empires to run she just wanted her life and Hesperians wanted her power. They wanted her to exist but by their will. They wanted Runin to choke to her own death. Everywhere she went death followed her. Her own people betrayed her. She had no army, no empire to run. They wanted for her to die and it happened. Riga wanted the same and so did everyone else who met Runin. If not that then why did they betray her? Why? From Altan to Venka and even Kitay, her own anchor, they betrayed her. And Nezha, he was cowered. He could have stopped it, could've have shook hands with Runin and Kitay and should have erased Hisparians. Buy no he couldn't even when he had Dragon Power. How shameful? It wasn't a crime for Runin to exist. But the world wanted clear of Speerlies and it happened. They just didn't want innocent civilians to die. But they forgot something. No civilian is innocent if they fail to perceive the truth. No civilian is innocent if all they believe is nothing but a fabricated reality.
It's so sad to think of that our world and Runin's world isn't very different. It's just how you see it. In the trilogy there was only one Fang Runin but in the current world there are so many Fang Runin. Desperate to live.
I don't know what you would call Runin. But Runin was a hero no civilian would sing praises about.
