"Do you think Spoke would come back" "I want Spoke back" Spokeishere. lock in. your friends miss you
Spoke himself IS everything old lifesteal used to be..........
It does make sense to me. This season they've been so heavy on the old season talks. They're trying so hard to compare s8 to previous seasons. I think they've went through the entire list, everyday and every second they try to grasp onto comparisons that... I'm not sure if I can say make much sense most of the times, but it's also not really something I Can decide. It's some kind of internal feeling for them, comparing how they felt then and how they feel now.
And everytime an old season comes up, comes up Spoke with it. He was so tangled with the server, his problem causing habits were incredible for the server. And sure, while a lot of it was to satate his own want for fun, so much of it has always been calculated, and well thought-out, it's something I had always admired about him. Especially with the finales, how well he set up the days leading up to them, this includes s3, s4, s6.
They decided against inviting Leo to the team, and he was only an ally for the end fight, but if Leo was a permanate member, which I honestly don't even doubt that he would naturally orbit around the gummyworms moving forward, that'd be 7 whole people stuck having to deal with a change that's so sudden and new. Which would lead to even more old season mentions, which would lead to so many Spoke mentions. All 7 of them are people who had at least one major arc with Spoke in the spotlight, he was an integral part of things that drove the action. Besides, Leo and Mapicc were the last people who saw Spoke online on Lifesteal.........
It is so difficult to image a Lifesteal without Spoke, and I feel that's the case for them too. Even though there are so many new members, and I have no doubt that they're capable of doing interesting things. They aren't Spoke, the guy who was literally self-proclaimed lifesteal.
This might be really mean, I don't know, but I've been rolling this thought around in my head for a while. Spoke described his plans to Minute in season 6 as "giving the server an ego death", season 3 Spoke said "when I die, the server dies with me". And I think about it sometimes. And. I guess he achieved those both
