Yuugo practically beamed, instantly going straight to the small pockets in his riding suit before opening up up his jacket and searching there. Yuuya hadn’t exactly warned him that he’d be meeting his childhood hero today, so he’d definitely showed up unprepared.

“She’d totally love that! ‘Cept…I kinda don’t have anything on me for you to sign either…! But if you give me a sec, I think I know of something else you can do!” He knew Yuuya’s duel disk could make calls like a phone, so maybe; “Uh…do you know if these things can take pictures?”

.. was he new to dueling? he should know all the functions of his duel disk. hm. how curious, but nothing worthy enough to bother with prodding. his duel with yuuya’s other friend hadn’t been bad at all to watch.

“there’s no need.” jack interjects in with practiced ease, placing his still steaming mug of jasmine tea down on its delicate little plate, before moving to smoothly slip one of his gloves off calloused fingers.

“you can have these. I have plenty of spares.” the king murmurs, hoping it would be enough. he had yet to wear these ones much, so they were still mostly fresh & untouched.

“I just don’t see the appeal,” Jun said, arms crossed and nose stuck up in the air as though in disgust. “Can you even concentrate on the game when you’re busy not crashing into things?”

“Or what if your opponent decides to be a bad sport and crashes into you?”

“... that would be a last resort move on their part. duel runners aren’t cheap to repair and neither are bones.” amusement tickles the roof of his mouth but the older teen manages not to laugh out loud out of respect, because it would be rude.. though jack himself would have not hesitated to do so. which usually complicated things even more.

sure, it was a valid question & something to be concerned about, but it rarely happened. plus, this kid seemed to want to find kinks about riding duel to simply nitpick at.

“I’ve been in many duels and it comes naturally now. I never worry about running into something. usually tracks are pretty straight forward or in a simple circle.” yuusei hopes that is slightly reassuring to hear. “...I can teach you some things if you’d like.”

well, this was quite the predicament. yuusei quietly studies his poor, broke-down bike with closed eyes, humming softly as he mulls over on what exactly to do. try & fix it with current supplies, or trek on until the next town so him & his team wouldn’t sleep on the ground? hmm.

& to feel included in this odd mediation, his ever curious klang floats near him & clicks wistfully a few times, as if also letting passerby's know that some hard-core thinking & problem solving was occurring.
