Melting Away (short story)

(Takes place at the song Dark Days by cougar macdowall va where all the critters melting)

The prototype is destroyed and the critters gathered around the burning remains now into ashes but as they’re about to celebrate, Baba Chops screamed. 

Her face and body is melting like a frozen popsicle left in the sun for too long, and it’s not just Baba, all the critters begin to melt, panic and fear ensues. Simon and Poe looked at their hands for they were melting as well, Simon looked around as all the critters were melting, he looked at the daydream critters who were melting as well, but Simon then looked at Billy Shanks who was also shocked and melting as well.

Billy then saw Simon now more shocked when he saw him melting too, the ram tries to run to Simon who does the same but their melting feet slows them down. As they’re almost together their feet melted causing them to fall forward on the floor, but the two slowly tried to get up, Billy and Simon got up and stared at each other, Billy looked at the red dragon with tears in his eyes. 

he was so scared and confused on what’s happening, why is everyone melting? What’s happening? 

Simon uses his claw to reach to Billy who does the same with his hoove, they held hands and just stared at each other for a moment, Simon saw Billy’s tears, so he use his other claw to wipe the tears away as he gave the ram a reassuring smile, Billy does the same and the two closed their eyes.

And in their final moments, they melted, their hands still held on together until melted into liquid…

The End….
