Peace and Connectors
While one side sought to harness the power of the fragments for conquest and dominion, another side would form amongst those who sought to understand, not to control. To those who studied the stars, moon, and sun, fragments and rings were handed. Priests and shamen would create or inherit their own for ritual, rite and prophetization. Those who took to understanding the fragment and its vessel would be able to learn, and later, hear the spirits in their own tongue resonating from the soul itself. A solid connection, thus, these would be called as such: connectors. From the sky, they appeared, so it was only right to pay that respect forward. New rituals were created, tools fashioned to help spin connectors even faster - pieces taken from rumors and the stories, and sometimes remnants, of war. Techniques taught to use one's own energy, their own soul, to maintain it. Eventually, humanity could launch their connectors back into the sky, ring held tightly in a body fashioned fully from metal to withstand the ascent. In those moments of connection between star and human, that would be when the spirit of the connector would appear. A truly divine burst of energy and power in the form of the spirit itself. A manifestation. Undeniably glorious to behold, but exhausting to its wielder. As such, manifestations became something only to behold on occasions: the turn of seasons, wards against famine and disasters, in a show to the Gods.
