Composite image from the new ALMA radio telescope. One part of the image is 75 million light-years away.
A meteor shower from above. Astronauts aboard the ISS captured this lone meteor during the Perseid Meteor shower last month.
A stereo anaglyph of the "planet" Vesta capture by the Dawn spacecraft. Vesta is the second largest asteroid in the Asteroid Belt, but it has the unique distinction of not only being named after a god of the Roman Pantheon (like the rest of the planets in the Solar system) but also having its own astrological symbol.
Butter-Beer
Have a beer that's just too dark? Try this handy trick:
Fill your glass with the dark beer of your choosing, leaving some room at the top.
Pour about a shot's worth of butterscotch schnapps (your can add more or less depending on the beer and your taste preference)
Enjoy a real "Butter-Beer"
I tried this with Sierra Nevada's seasonal Tumbler which isn't all that dark, but I wish I had thought of this the last time I had Magic Hat's Black as Night Ale.
Dogfish Head Raison D'Etre
"A deep, mahogany Belgian-style brown ale brewed with beet sugar, raisins, and Belgian-style yeast."
Dark and sweet, not too bitter.
Dust pillar off of the Eagle Nebula. This pillar is roughly 10 light years long. Captured by Hubble, colors scientifically reassigned.
Anchor Steam
"The one and only true example of this unique style, Anchor's Steam Beer is a lager in name only. Fermented at higher temperatures than your typical lager, it keeps the style's crisp dryness but adds fruity esters and extra hops."

Hickson 44. There are roughly 100 compact groups of galaxies known as Hickson Compact Groups. The star distortion around some of the galaxies hint towards eventual Galactic mergers within many of the groups.
Dumbbell Nebula. Gaseous emissions nebulae, such as this, are created when a Sol-like star runs out of fuel. Outer layers of the star are cast off into space and effected by the dying star's UV light, causing it to glow.
The Patterson House, Nashville.
Moscow Mule
Ingredients
Ice cubes
1/4 cup vodka
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
1/2 cup chilled ginger beer
1 lime wedge
The "Retro Highball": 2 oz. spirit to 2 oz. soda
Wildcard.
Saturn's moon Enceladus. The false color "tiger stripes" on its surface may actively be ejecting ice out into space, creating Saturn's E-ring.
