My hot take is some of y'all in the fantroll community are only rping to get your own rocks off instead of actually being interested in OCs and making friends. You sit and rp extremely fetishized things but put it under a pretext that it's just how your character is nothing more, nothing less when in reality you push peoples buttons over and over again until you get what you want. Frankly, I've seen it a lil too much lately
I don't know how many more times I need to tell y'all that being a dancer/independent Contractor isn't a dream job.
It's hard and degrading and will cause you to think less of the world and the people in it. You'll genuinely see the WORST of the worst in bartenders, other dancers, customers, managers and bouncers. Owners too.
Most security will hit on you and if you go home with them you'll lose your fucking job.
If you bed the manager all girls hate you, security and male staff try to then get a piece. You'll never have another slightly stressful day again because it's replaced with true hell.
The girls will use you to get more money, they'll actively offer substances (this is me saying this after I was offered after I'd told them I'd been clean for four years btw) and they'll try to get you drunker just to see if they can essentially traffick you.
Some bartenders will turn a blind eye to a regular if he puts something in your drink and then you'll get fired if you have to be escorted home or if the customer takes you home.
Customers talk a big game then will assault you, think your pretty hole down there is worth a fucking dollar then proceed to try to push the club rules that they know are there because worst they get is kicked out but you'll get sent home and again FIRED. Customers will stuff money inside of you and think it's fine, try kissing you on the lips with tongue and beer breath and barely any of them have decency to shower. Some will bite the blood out of you and claim they're just a dom.
Nobody is your friend unless you find someone at random, even girls who are your "friend" have a 90% chance of betraying you.
I'm so sick of you idiots thinking it's glitter, shiny outfits, platforms and makeup. Everything about this job is so surface level it's not even funny, get fucking real. I'm sick of y'all trying to put yourselves in harms way WILLINGLY EVEN WHEN YOU HAVE STABILITY AND ARENT SUFFERING.

I only feel this when I can tell someone else doesn't want to put forth the effort anymore. I've learned to listen to it though and cut friendships there, to me: if you can't communicate that you don't feel like talking as much or that you want a break, then I'm not giving you space in my life. Obviously you're too nervous to communicate with me even if I give you every opening, why should I rip myself further apart if I know it'll get us both hurt?
I think something a lot of people don't understand is that people can create characters that struggle with negative character traits (like mental disorders, abuse, addiction, etc,,) and can show those negatives as good via the characters mentality. As in, obviously the issue is not a good thing and is a struggle, but it still persists that when someone is going through something toxic or unhealthy they always make excuses for it or pretend they're fine and said negative thing is normal and okay and makes their life so much better. Even when it doesn't. Not everyone thinks the same way, some people have delusions and some have excuses. But in the end obviously we as spectators and intakers understand what is and isn't wrong.
Hence: dead dove content.
I might expand upon this later and give examples of my own characters and how they are adjacent to me or people I've met before but like. I'm just saying, I do be making stellar points.
